htccode.com provides unlock codes. It is the easiest way to unlock and no complication is involved.
Fine if you want to pay for something the Olinex would do cheaper....

but i can gurantee that this site can send you the software within 4hrs and very very easy to follow instructions. dont even have to unplug and replug the usb. just plug it in and complete the 3 step process. ive already unlocked more than 4 phns

I think HTC Diamond is not precisely a "cheap toy" to be playing with buggy software that can brick it.
If the post has been deleted, there is probably a reason.

Since when have HTC been locking their phones? If you have an HTC Diamond and have paid to have it unlocked I could have done it for half the price ;)
I hope people are checking to make sure their phones are actually locked before paying to unlock them.
HTC do not lock their phones. O2 in the UK don't lock them and I'm sure many others don't either.
phns were locked to orange UK. only paid software can unlock htc diamond (and the owner of this thread) im not sure about other ppl sending codes.
but it is always good to chk your phone before paying money

Hi
I'm looking to unlock me HTC Diamond.
People say that's he can do that.
My real interest is to understand how work the programmes to obtain the code?
Is the code extracted from a specific base?
Is it calculated with an algorithm?
Regards

29th July 2008, 06:26 PM
There is no algorithm, its random codes for each IMEI.
Only HTC knows that and ofcourse people having contact with HTC :)

If you need a software solution to use with your USB cable and PC and unlock the phone in 3 clicks under 2 minutes, try www.mobilefixed.com
as i said this software is made by a famous xda-developer and all the money he makes from the unlocker goes to xda-developers as donations
you can actualy see his signature on his software
they will send you the software within 2-6 hrs same day, and very very easy to use.
www.mobilefixed.com unlocker is personal and unique so send them your IMEI with the order process.
good thing with the software solution is that your device will be flashed with special developer SPL and sim and CID will be unlocked to use with any simcard and any Flash ROM

£20 is not fair, I know people have done it for free
ferraripassion
31st July 2008, 12:33 PM
If you feel it can be done for free why not use that option? You will not have to spend a penny then on unlocking.
One more thing , you have spent around 300 odd pounds on the phone , and 20 pounds compared to that amount is nothing :) , just being logical lol
zmalach
31st July 2008, 12:42 PM
I understand from where you came from, sure there are some people would like to make some profit. I just said £20 is not fair, I think £10 is the most appropriate price for the unlocking.
Plus I am not in rush to unlock my phone
Why you supporting htccodes if I may ask?

Confucious
31st July 2008, 01:16 PM
Orange, in the UK, will not give you a code until youa are out f contract, if you are then get your code from them.
If not your choises are, I believe:
a) tupisdin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=231827) can do - he asks for a $50 donation to XDA-devs
b) OliPro can do it - not sure how much / if he charges
c) htcunlock can do for £20
d) You can use an i-SmartSim 2008 which doesn't unlock the phone but does allow you to use your SIM in a locked phone.
a) and b) both involve flashing your phone
c) is very simple - just entering a code
I believe these are the options currently available but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

I came across this site whilst searching for an unlock solution and I don't post much anyway in forums I frequent most hence the low post count.
I posted a comment to say Olipro's method worked for me so people like me who were/are searching for an unlock solution have a little more confidence in it's validity not because I was asked to post.

xda-developers are working hard to bring you the free unlocker for diamond, but its not ready yet unfortunately.
they can not give the paid software for free cos they spent loads of their time (some of them lost their jobs too) to find a solution to unlock htc diamond. so they have to get paid for the time.
so be happy, at least theres a solution to unlock htc diamond now.
and here is the list of ppl who can unlock htc touch diamond
tupisdin
Olipro
www.mobilefixed.com
www.htccode.com
contact them for a safe and tested solution to unlock your htc touch diamond
I doubt that there will be a free unlocker for the Diamond. I think if Olipro does release one he will charge for it as he does for the Nike sim unlocker.
Just my thoughts.

Yeah, pay Orange to unlock the phone because they locked it in the first place and obviously they don't have any control over that, nosireebob.
Of course, paying someone who worked on an unlocker... jesus, what a c**t they are for expecting something back for their work.
All the world's employers should adopt this new business model, everyone works for free and if you get lucky, you'll get a token gesture.

Let's cut the crap and open a new thread about that if somebody wants to talk about the rights of a developer...
I don't think it's something to be talked about shortly in somebody else's thread:
It's about:
- Does a dev. have the right to ask money for his unlocker? (I believe: yes)
- Does a dev. have the right to ask money here at xda-developers? (I believe: it depends)
- Does the user have the right to get a free unlocker? (I believe: it depends)
Now I can explain my thoughts, etc. but people will still keep replying and this thread will be more about Olipro and his money than unlocking the HTC Diamond.
That's why tom_codon warned us :)
Keep up the 1337 work and ignore the people you don't like...

If you stick around long enough to notice, most things on here that are developed or produced (what ever you would like to call this) by the users, who put give up their free time to help this community and make the device - we own! better, only put links to "Donations" at the bottom of their posts to encourage people to donate (beer money, coffee fund, etc) for all their efforts, this is not a requirement but a gesture of good will if you like their work and would like to help them continue.
Their is enough free loaders on here already with-out you adding to them so good riddance...

People spend ALOT of time making and testing these things - so it should be down to them whether or not and if so when they release things into the public domain for free!
If a dev decides not to release a find immediately then have a bit of respect and let them think of NO.1 and in due course it will then available free.
Think of the bigger picture before you write, as in this instance it is you that have appeared greedy - wanting to keep a few pounds in your pocket. If you don't want a paid solution then zip it and wait :)
Look at what the forum has done - I myself am very thankful that my Crusty Diamond is now a Shiny one due to the hard work and time these peeps put into developing ROMS. Not considering all the other devices they have FIXED for me.

But isn't it funny how people are charging to unlock Diamonds using someone else's freeware program that they found on the internet? I mean, I'm assuming this is the case now that there is a program to do it available to be downloaded for free... I just don't see how you can take someone else's work and charge $ for it. Scummy.

I suggest you stop your rant right there sir, It was me who deleted the thread as it was a violation of the requests by the developers of the unlocker, they strictly requested it NOT BE POSTED anywhere. The unlocker is still in development thus people using it are requested to NOT PUBLICLY POST IT yet, and it seems certain members just cant resist making money from other peoples work.
The unlocker will be released soon for use however it is not ready for MANY reasons, which should not matter....if you dont like that you can always make one yourself?! good luck.
Matter over, anyone reported to be posting other members IP without permission will be subject to a ban of no predetermined length......stop lowering the tone of the forum with petty attempts to bypass the developers wishes. Back on topic now please.

There is NO freeware available to unlock the Diamond. The version that was stolen is not available yet except by PMing Olinex and if they charge for it it's because they have spent a lot of time and effort on it although cmonex has stated it will be available for free in the future.
If people use s/ware that they haven't released and then brick their phone then they end up having to spemnd a lot of time helping idiots that use it as they don't want their s/ware to be accused of bricking anyone's phone.
Someone released AP4 for the Athena before it was ready. I was one of the idiots that bricked my phone. They got iot back for me.
Either PM and expect to pay as they might have to talk you through, or wait until they can make it foolproof and release to the public.
Or use one of the other paid for unlockers - prices are coming down as there is more competition but all of these guys are very clever and while I like a freebie as much as the next person I ussually end up donating anyway. But you have choices.

I completely agree with " mrvanx ". The cable method is Olipro's method and he has the sole right and the decision to make it free or charge for it.
You people who are looking for free solution have to understand that he is charging for his work which he has put it same like the way you guys working for some company. So I don't see anything wrong in people charging for the providing the unlocking service. We have had number of posts here saying the forum is greedy etc, have any of you guys wondered how much it costs for hosting and bandwidth? I bet its a lot considering the traffic and the popularity of xda forum. If you wish to donate do it if not be quite and don't post stuff which should not be.

Another post to say that htccode.com worked fine for me again on a Diamond, although I think the 25 euro charge is a little steep. Did say I'd put another word in for them, though as, even with the high price, it's a quick and working solution.
Re: stolen tools / flame wars / etc : Have read a little about this on various forums and deliberately staying out of the debate. But sorry to hear all this is going on. Ultimately we all want the same thing here, or at least should do. The glory hunters are the problem here; it's the same odd mentality as virus coders and the like - anything for their name on as many screens as possible. I wish the best of luck to the hard-working peeps of this forum who simply want to contribute something back to the community. As a developer, I know how it feels to have your work passed off as other's : gutting. I hope we can all put down our flamethrowers and make peace.

I did not understand. can better explain to me please?
I already made the step one, so good ...
I made the step 2 and everything went well.
After the two step pda restart, when I click links in step 3, he says he is already released, but is not
Now I had to do everything again and there is a strange thing. I went to the device and there was a file called diamondunloack.exe, I click to open only when it closes. This is where it seems that this position is that they say, unlock the sim. Is the application error?

Hi everybody
I have just joined xda developer so I can learn something and exchange ideas about windows mobile, I am afraid I am so disappointed with people in here trying to charge so much money for unlocking htc phones specially diamond, I have bought diamond unlocker for £2.95 on eBay and I am very happy about it, but greedy people in here are charging nearly 25 Euros for remote unlock.
Please instead of paying these greedy guys pay a donation to xda developer and please moderator of this establishment stop people selling or advertising unlock code which should be free.
In some countries in Europe the government has stopped phone companies selling locked phones I wish one that happens in this country as it’s our right to choose what sim card we like to use.

People selling something illegal , a product which is stolen.
We are doing legitimate business and not selling stuff which is stolen like people are doing it on ebay.
Anyway they are not going to provide you support for it , if you go wrong with flashing etc and you are left in midst of nowhere.
Do not expect everything to be free in this world , people have right to charge as much ever they want for the program which they make.
You have to appreciate the hard work put in by people to make the programs , to give you the codes.

I've been reading this thread ... and I've got to say something about it.
I also would prefer unlocking to be free, but there are some things you should know about it :
1. Reversing the unlock itself burns a lot of money for buying hardware
and time.
2. Donations would help to reduce the cost, but as usual, when something is
for free, people won't donate. When it comes to the reversing itself,
most people even don't help, but moan why noone has an unlock available.
3. Offering a unlock for free might lead to higher security the manufacturer
introduces to prevent that *as for HTC that is true*, making it way
harder to unlock any newer device
4. Some unlock offers are bound to the manufacturer themselves.
These are ok, as they are just resellers, that's the reason for the "high" price.
If you pay money for a unlock and the reverser can reduce the costs with it, it's ok. But for any other business, like reselling stolen things (reversing has nothing to do with that) .... is something I will never understand, as it is only for making money and has nothing to do with brainware and research.

i must say some people are greedy and trying too much money on unlocking these phones , i think its time the government stop phone companies to lock their phones and sell them unlock to people so they can use any sim card they wish and also stop these greedy people charge too much money for unlocking them. i am sure most people agree that thats the best way to sell phones, except these people who are making a great deal of money on unlocking these phones. we know they are they keep advertising here and tell people how unlocking was so good with such and such company.......

Tupisdin just charges a donation to this site - which also seems perfectly reasonable to me.

First: As Olipro has said himself: Their unlocker is Free to anyone who has contributed to the forum (And I am not talking money, but by helping others!).
Paid service is only for non-contributing members!
Second: The "free unlocker" available is olipro's unlocker without a doubt, the releaser didn't had a clue how it truely worked, that is why it crashes 95% of the time, it was not a bug in the original program!

The following is not intended as a flame!
It's no wonder, I have checked all your 19 postings since february, all questions or vague remarks.
If you would actually would have helped people in the last 9 months instead of using this forum as your personal helpdesk, Olipro/Cmonex/tupisdin would surely have donated their unlocker free to you.
Making an unlocker doesn't come cheap!
You need a device and tons of time to develop one, you need to test the software so that it doesn't ruin other people's devices.
All this time developing you always take a risk to brick your own device.
Next to that, there are plenty new devices out all need an unlocker, you all know the prices of these devices!!
It's not unfair that these unlockers are ONLY free to those members who are actually contributing to modaco or xda-DEVELOPERS (developers!, not xda-helpdesk!), and that the non contributing "members" have to pay a small fee!

People STOP complaining if you have to pay a small donation because you haven't contributed to the community, complaints will be deleted without any warning!

i think people have rigth to know this..after some research...
"So lets make few things clear:
This crack is NOT done by imei-check and never been claim as OUR work! If we wanted to do this we will put on our site and asked for donation (just like olipro and pof did with out software). We are not as low as that wink.gif
Few things to remember:
IMEI-check WROTE the unlockers for windows mobile.
Olipro and few others comes along crack them, rips them off and release them for free claiming them as their OWN work.
Everyone sees olipro as a GOD.
Imei-check stops releasing new software (starting from diamond) due of been sick that our software been cracked and released under some other names claiming been their work and asking for donation money.
Olipro makes the diamond radio patch and sells the solution to indian customers(from what i heard was over 19K value...), which cracked his software and release it on the internet.
It gets publish on nearly every forum and few h later always gets deleted .
We imei-check never had this privileged before sad.gif(
Note to olipro: YOU STILL USE OUR COPYRIGHTED ICON IN YOUR LAME UNLOCKER! Legal actions are in process!
Now olipro to keep stay as a "hero" pretends is a beta test software. Was no software in that rar in the rapid share, just a radio patch, and as you always claimed on xda-developers is NO copyright in a nbh file... so why the hell you keep asking to take it off tongue.gif ???
Face it mate is hurts isn't it? Thats how we felt as well when you did it to our own software!!!
Is hard to see when you spend lots of time to develop something and someone comes along and crack it and release it for free. Unfortunately this always been in the GSM business sad.gif

FIRST AND MOST INPORTANT!!!
U guys MUST have HardSPL INSTALLED on ur phones BEFORE trying anything of this out...
I Suggest u use HArdSPL 1.40 Unsigned (Its in the RAR file)
AFTER u have installed HardSPL 1.40 Unsigned
Unrar and go to step 2 folder and run -> DiamonCustomRUU.exe
Just do what it says and update.
After the phone restart copy DiamUnlock.exe from the step3 folder on to your diamond (Anywhere) and run it.
The DiamUnlock.exe closes itself very fast, i have sucessfully made it by first launching the program and quickly and several times press up button and touch the screen
if you'r lucky the screen stay and you can sim-unlock your diamond!!

i think people have rigth to know this..after some research...
Don't forget the work of Buzz, Maimach and Itsme!!
Olipro and few others comes along crack them, rips them off and release them for free claiming them as their OWN work.
Everyone sees olipro as a GOD.
..........
?? this is a CODE unlocking service, has nothing to do with Olipro, nor with cracking.
The OP (who isn't Olipro) has a list of HTC unlok codes, it as simple as that.
How to free unlock your diamond.
This is using the radio patched by Olinex.
theres no more need to pay here money...
No there isn't, if you are a contributing member, olipro will give it for free.
shame on every xda developer!!!
you are the simpliest thiefs on the world...
Identity theft is also stealing.
Imei check has their own accounts here, which are known to us!

For offering warez and using a sock-puppet account: you are banned.
But because this is a only sock puppet account your other username is banned also.

To all the doubters (if there are any left), I would send any amount of money to Tupisdin for any service he offers (that I'm interested in :P ). He is very trustworthy and a great person to deal with!

Insert Vodafone sim card to your mobile. If it asks for network code then you can purchase the code via imei and unlock your phone ...

This is the supposed leaked Oli version that everyone is talking about. It has an issue where it only gives you a very brief amount of time to press a button and then it crashes. That's why the person who made that site (internetbisnisonline), who clearly cannot spell or write english past a grade 5 level, said that it took him 30 times to get it to work. You're welcome to try this if you like (I believe the link is no longer on the site and never even worked; see comments), or you could pay Olipro for his service or donate to the forum and get a code through Tupisdin. I would rather have peace of mind for $20 than have $500 piece of trash after using some shit tool.

Hm, I unlocked my and my friend's diamond with it, and as far as I remember, the application isn't crashing, just closes wery kuicly if you don't touch the interface in a very specific location in a wery short time. Anyway, the buying NCK is better, but THAT sollution works.

If you'd rather steal Olinex's work than donate to this site and get it legally then shame on you.

Just a note...if u have run the 'stolen' unlocker (or purchase a fone that has been unlocked with it) and ur phone works...DO NOT flash any other ROMs or radios...And it is probably not a good idea to even pay for the real thing from Olinex & try and re-unlock ur phone the right way...:)
Unfortunately I purchased a second hand Diamond that had been unlocked with the 'stolen' un-locker. I then thought I'd flash a new ROM & radio, after that I couldn't get a network to lock on, then I paid for Olinex's un-locker & haven't been able to get network lock since.
Olinex's product works really well...if u want to unlock ur phone then please PAY THE MONEY....or u could end up with a $500 AUD paperweight...although at least I can use it as a note-taker...or a wi-fi internet tablet...or a barely passable camera...

Dear Kung Fu Ce, I just said the sollution works , legal or not, I didn't discussed if it is right or wrong to use it. As a matter I did say: " the buying NCK is better..."
I do belive purcasing legally a NCK is the right way, but as far as I know only the network has it, on which the phone is locked on. Do you have network lock officially for Diamond? I unlocked my Polaris too with a sw similar to the Diamond unlocker, software which is still posted on this forum, and that time I wasn't shamed, so I don't see why should I feel ashamed now? If I want to donate to this forum, or cookers I can , I did and I will do it in the future, but saying to a littlebit harder but working sollution it didn't works or if I use it I should be ashamed, is tricky and misleading people, and if you try to force people to donate to this forum this way, you should be ashamed too.
@pixelvandal, I unlocked my phone in november, and since then I used all kind kind of rom and radio, in the prezent I use latest UDK with v1.12.25.19 Raphael radio. My device works well and it isn't a paperweight...
ps
to make my self clear, a word to future unlockers:
If you wanna try the harder way, feel free to try it, becouse the unlocker works if you follow the steps, but if you wanna make it easy and in the same time to support this community , buy the unlock code.

The software you used was designed and by Olinex and is their property - perfectly legally reverse engineered.
Donators to this site have stars after their names - as you do not I assumed you hadn't. If you have you xould have just asked the Olinex who would
have provided you with a legal copy of their software and support.

So that's what those stars are about. I assume they're for financial donations...
