How can I assign short press of PTT or any button to silent mode and long press of PTT or any button to to the in-call Mute function, not to be confused with the silent profile or the silence ringer function. I am looking to Mute the microphone. I don't see any such program in the assign a program list. Thanks

Use Schaps AdvancedConfig Tool. Under KeyMappings you are able to assign any file to a button

yes it can be done all you have to do is create a shortcut to the program and place the shortcut in the windows\start menu\programs folder. viola it will pop up in the button assignment settings :)
This info is also in the wiki by the way ;)
