OK...
I been trying to configure my Kaiser for one month now. I first installed Dutty Rom. My phopne worked fine for one day and after that it started to slow down to the point that it would take more than 1 minute to switch tabs. So I tried installing L26 Rom and it didn`t solved the problem.
I searched on the net for tips that would improove the performance of the WM 6.1. I instaled SPB Pocket Plus, disabled Safe mode, Disabled Memory card capacity and use display, Improoved the page size, etc, but these tricks didn`t solve the slow down problem.
The only way to make the phone work again is to do a Hard Reset.
One thing that I noticed is that, after two days of use I can`t acess any of the "phone" functions. I can enter the agenda, open Word, music, videos, but I can't enter the dial function. No matter how long I press (and how long I wait) the green phone button, it nevers opens the dial funcion.
Also I can't open the calls history or the contacts. So, two days after a Hard reset I have a slow PDA, but with no phone functions.
Now I'm having another kind of problem: When I look at the phone signal strengh, it keeps switching from full signal to no signal every 3 seconds. This looks the same as the problem that some people had with the GPS that coudn't lock the sat signal. Looks like my phone doesn't lock the mobile network signal.
I can only solve this with a Hard Reset.
Can someone please help me? The Kaiser is useless If I can`t use it as a phone!!! I'm loosing several importants calls (I only received the lost call message) and I can`t even call them back as I can't enter the phone functions. I try soft-reset but then It wipe the phone log and I can`t figure out who called me.
I have an Orange Tytn II (Sim and CID unlocked) with L26 V4 - Lite version ROM with 1.64.08.21 Radio.
I additionally to the programs in the ROM, have installed S2u2, SPB Pocket plus, SPB Dial, SPB Agenda and two GPS softwares (Destinator 6 and Route 66).
Could someone please help me? If I can't solve this I will have to sell my Kaiser!! :-(
