Hi guys,

Thanks to Shortyboy for the dump, Gonie and jcostanza4 for pushing it through.

I have converted the WM6.1 version of the US touch Dual to work on the Neon200. I haven´t tested it completely but so far everything is working.

There is no mods to the Rom...(Yet) This will be the base for cooking custom Neon Roms that work 100%

Beta Rom is available for Beta Testers

The Beta version is password protected, not because i don´t want to share but i don´t feel it´s ready for the public yet. I´ll give the password to whoever wants to test it, so just PM me. But remember this is Beta and might have bugs.

Some issues with the Camera were reported by a Beta Tester.

hi!! i'm new user sorry for my english first of all:p:p
in a new rom i'd like know if is possible add: pocket contact cm, thrumb cal, pdf reader and TCPMP.are all free software. i'd like to have even opera 9 beta but i know that isn't free program.
an other stuff maybe i cube 1.10 pre installed it's free program.thanks for all sorry again for my english:D:D

I am willing to help beta test but I would like to get a dump of the original Telstra ROM that I can revert back to If I have any problems. I could not get mine to dump as I had the "Could not update itsutils.dll" message. If you have this Rom and are willing to share PM me the link to download it and a link to the beta and I will start testing.

mm .. very interesting about FM Radio, very sad I'm hold a niki not neon ... well just wondering what is diffrent on the pcb board between this model (beside the keypad) :D

Battery: 1500 mAh


That seems interesting, any possibility to install a neon battery in the Nike, mine is only 1120 mah so an upgrade to 1500 would be nice. Any links on where to get a spare Neon battery?

The Neon battery is bigger physically and wont fit in a nike/niki

the Neon (although similary spec'd to the nike/niki) is actually quite different, battery, button positions, thickness, stylus different spot, fm radio chip and the 850mhz band chip.

and of course the keyboard, which is weird as some niki's have 20 keys, some 16, neon in aus has 20 keys, so there seems to be quite a varying degree.

anyone seen the US neon in the flesh, does it vary to the aus neon, i spose the american one is probably neon300 or something instead of neon200?

Thanks for the Rom, I was able to flash it to a Niki100 but you are right the rom has alot of incompatibilities. Rom and applications operate but too many bugs to work as useful phone, No Error messages though. Check my post for details if you want to know what works and what doesnt. I am trying to research a fix.
