Diamond Project SSPL, Hard-SPL -CID Unlock & Flash any ROM to your device

Hi all..!

Diamond Project team worked on SSPL,Hard-SPL for Diamond device.And now we're release it 4 free :)

After flashing HardSPL you'll be able to flash any Diamond ROM to your device!

This tool will allow you to change the ROM language, flash cooked ROMs, custom splash screens, etc...

INSTRUCTIONS :




Connect Diamond to computer using USB cable
Make sure ActiveSync icon is GREEN
Extract sspl-diamond-1.23.zip and run SSPL.bat
Your device will go to bootloader.Device screen should be now TRI-COLOR and show "1.23.Jump" and "USB"
Unplug and Re-Plug the USB cable
Phone screen should still be tri-color and still show "USB" ,the activesync icon gray
if not, the loading process has failed and you'll have to repeat it again.
If all was OK then u extract Diamond-Flash-Splash.zip and click to ROMUpdateUtility.exe it will update for u Splash screen htc.After that if all fine.That sure u have sspl version working.
Go to sspl-diamond-1.23 again.Run it to get SPL 1.23.Jump and now extract Diamond-HardSPL-1.23.zip and just install Hard-SPL with same




* NOTE :

This version just works for devices having SPL 1.23.
Will not works in Devices has SPL 1.34
With SPL 1.34 version.We will update in next days :)

We carried out various experiments on wlinsong's Diamond tonight and the result is very bad news for Diamond users. At least for users who have the latest radio version 0.93.25 and SPL 1.34.0000. Users with older radio 0.91.25.16 and SPL 1.23.0000 can consider themselves very lucky.

As a matter of fact HTC is combatting the SSPL method by write-protecting the ram area in which the SPL resides. As far as I know the radio is responsible for this and therefore we can call radio 0.93.25 another "Radio from Hell" :mad:

I'm waiting for my own device as I still have a few tricks in my bag :)
Perhaps it's time for "FrankenDiamond" :D

You've got the Radio from Hell so you can't use the current SSPL.

I got mine yesterday here in the Middle East, i guess its the latest version.

My Diamond has the following Device info:
Rom version: 1.35.456.3 WWE
Radio Version: 0.93.25.NS26

One thing i can tell you, is that Touch Flow 3D is Slooooow. Its weird how a faster CPU, more RAM/ROM is still sluggish :(

someone who has old radio (older than this hellish 0.93.25.NS16), and can run the SSPL fine, please contact me in PM, give me an MSN address or come on IRC at freenode #xda-devs so we can talk - I want to try something.

this will help with getting the new one working

the thing is I "rebased" the SSPL, and it loads and runs but display and USB is dead (testing on walshieau's diamond). so this might be an additional trick or just the rebasing wasn't correct, so if the same rebased SSPL runs on an older diamond that can run the normal SSPL then we'll see what's up.


P.S.: just to clarify, it is confirmed the SSPL itself is running even though display is not working. we will be happy enough if just USB starts working though.

It is time to jump to phone with qwerty as the new Raphael is very slim, compared to Kaiser, and has better specs than Diamond.

If so, I am willing to make a cool donation :)

tramuyo partially tested the SSPL (didn't test USB in mtty yet and I want to complete that check too! will update thread later with that info), turns out it works fine on "old" diamond (that has non blocking radio).

P.S: to clarify, this means, the rebasing of the SPL was probably correctly done and "new" diamonds have extra issues on top of that. I actually know where the USB code gets stuck (also on "old" diamond it doesn't get stuck there), but solving it will be more steps.

Just got my Diamond in KL and it has the 0.93.25.NS26 radio as well. I hope you guys can figure out a way around the protections. I will be seriously bummed out if I am stuck with HTC's roms. I am really surprised that they are doing this. I am not sure what they gain besides upsetting a community of users who love their products.

I'll add my few pennies to the discussion. First of all I should say the ranting in this forum against Tom Codon is not okay. A while ago he approached me for developing a Diamond SSPL/HardSPL to be released by his Diamond project team. I did that and have no problems for staying in the background and not being credited. Tom is not trying to rip off anyone, he just wants to develop a rom for the diamond community and I decided to give him a hand. Please let there be no misunderstanding I have no problem with Tom and vice versa so please stop ranting.

The SSPL/HardSPL I developed for the Diamond project works fine on early release devices where the radio does not write protect SPL ram. After some tests I personally discovered the protection (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2258267&postcount=21) and contacted the dreamteam Olipro & cmonex to sort this issue. They in the past two weeks developed a wonderful solution by relocating a MFG SSPL to a writeable ram region (0x88800000 instead of 0x88000000)

I also like to develop additional tools for Diamond (tho I don't have one, but I don't care too much about that) and also disagree with third-party signing. In fact I have a security/sim unlocker ready to be tested and it uses a self-signed patched radio. Now I hope Oli & cmonex will release a sspl/hspl without the cert check in the next days, otherwise i need to do my own relocated sspl/hspl or refer to the "DollyPro" alternative which apparently does not work.

I'm getting more and more confused with this spl thing, What's the difference between this thread and this one:

I have 1.37.405.1 WWE rom, and the installation of hard-spl from the link above doesn't work.

Having 1.37.405.1 WWE rom means I have the 1.37 SPL? -> EDIT1: Ok I checked in bootloader mode and I have the 1.37 SPL

So if I read the first post here:

that means I can't install this SPL either? Could anyone guide me please, I'd like to upgrade to LTR rom?





EDIT 2: I manually launched the SSPL from the phone and successfully installed the signed hard-SPL 1.30 by Olinex, that was the missing step

We carried out various experiments on wlinsong's Diamond tonight and the result is very bad news for Diamond users. At least for users who have the latest radio version 0.93.25 and SPL 1.34.0000. Users with older radio 0.91.25.16 and SPL 1.23.0000 can consider themselves very lucky.

As a matter of fact HTC is combatting the SSPL method by write-protecting the ram area in which the SPL resides. As far as I know the radio is responsible for this and therefore we can call radio 0.93.25 another "Radio from Hell" :mad:

I'm waiting for my own device as I still have a few tricks in my bag :)
Perhaps it's time for "FrankenDiamond" :D

How to unbrick my Tilt!!!

It's flashed with Hardspl 3.29, Dutty's ROM Diamond V1 and Radio 1.65.17.56. Yesterday, I flashed the Diamond Radio 1.00.xxx: the procedure went fine (100%-update successfull) except now Tilt won't even boot up/enter bootloader or LED charge indicator lit up!!

Im new on these forums, and im definatlly new to installing custom roms. (tho im not at all new to HTC/windows mobile devices)
I just have a few questions, but first lemme say thx too tom_codon & his test-team (Pof, Des, Olipro and luigivsf) for making custom roms possible! :D

1) I have a t-mobile htc touch diamond, and i was wondering when i use any of the supplyd roms on this forum, will i still be able to use the web-n-walk stuff and mms messages and such?

2) Are these settings in the roms already or am i supposed to call for them? i wouldn't mind calling but dutch t-mobile are retards tbh, so would be nice if the settings are already there

3) A new rom will replace the fugly t-mobile touchFLO skin right? as in give me the pretty black htc one?

4) is it correct that flashing wont flash the internal sd card? thus keeping my pictures and stuff

5) lastly, is there some easy backup app i can use to backup my contacts?

First of all,
tom_codon and all of those who show great dedication to this forum, you guys are doing a terrific job! Keep up the great work.

Now I've had a recent problem with my Diamond, causing the radio (or so I think) to become corrupt. Now before you start thinking that I'm going off topic, my Diamond runs SPL 1.34 and the dreaded 0.93.25 radio, and I have been unable to flash a new radio or boot loader because of this.

A few questions:

1. Is there any way of flashing HardSPL on my Diamond yet? (Keeping in mind that I run SPL 1.34 and the 0.93.25 radio.)
2. If not, is there any way to reflash the radio? I've tried to restore the manufacturers default, but that has no effect whatsoever.

Apologies if the solution is mentioned somewhere other than here, I scoured the forum last night for a few hours and I couldn't find much pertaining to my problem.
