can anyone tell me the name and manufacturer of the wlan device in the qtek 8310?

The Tornado uses some sort of Texas Instruments ACX 100 chip. It may be the 111 or some other derivative of the ACX 100.

No, I don't recall where I learned this information.

I'd suggest doing a little more searching yourself.

Alternatively, it might be possible to boot linux with haret and then dumping the pci devices with either lspci or catting /proc/bus/pci/devices.

Also, it may be possible to contact either HTC or Texas Instruments and ask (good luck!)
