Ok for the life of me I cant find the version of SetVolume that I have used for some time, I recently had a situation where my sd card got whipped and I lost the WQVGA round version control for SetVolume... Can some one tell me where to find it again because all sites I find that shows a image of version I am looking for the links on page directs me to this forum but this isnt the version I want?
Any Help would be appreciated..

commandline parameters -hide / -inc / -dec
Is there any way to have a command line parameter to close / unload the program?. "-close"
I have an Omnia and the volume buttons are used for zooming. When I want to use the camera I have to remember to open SetVolume and click the little cross on the corner to close the process.
I tried 'killing' it with mortscript but that upsets the phone. It hangs when I try to run anything. I guess that process doesn't like being killed.
So anyway a parameter that would do the same thing as the close button would be great.
Thanks,
Jeannette

Hi,
today I've finished my iPhone-ish skin for SetVolume. It's only for QVGA devices, sorry. Thanks for this really nice app.
FoneBone
I have modified the backgrounds of this skin to make it fit wqvga.
It's attached below. I take no credit. What I did was nothing.

Hi, quite cool application, can you provide a source code? If not can you say how did you do the following stuff: hook the volume icon in the taskbar, hook volume keys?
Thanks in advance.

How would I go about making this work for WQVGA device(omnia)? Is it just a matter of resizing the files? And if so, will I need to use photoshop if I'm resizing the transparent skin files so they keep their transparency? Thanks and great work!!!

Hi,
resizing the skin files is enough to make it work. Well it is working without resizing the files but it is stretched.
You can use a free tool like Paint.Net to resize the png. The most important thing is that the file is saved as 32bit png.

Hey marcLandis, I have been using it for a few hours now with the transparent skin (QVGA) only image I edited so far was backgroundL.png just to cover the whole screen in landscape. Other than that it works just fine graphically in portrait mode. I have had to restart it a few times and sometimes it automatically reverts back to volume on if I set it to vibrate. I like it alot though. Thanks for the work!!!

I'm a dumb arse when it comes to this stuff.
Have tried searching google and also this site but I cannot find how to implement the files to make it work on my phone.
Are there instructions on how to take the files and add them to my phone, step by step?

Marc -- Great to see you've picked up development of SetVolume again. I'm a big fan of it.
Curious -- Any more luck in better hooking the volume icon in the taskbar to SetVolume? I did a search for "icon," but all I turned up were some posts about how you had a new method in the works, back around the time of the 0.5.0 release.

Sorry if I missed it, but I am trying to get the program to play a sound when changing volume( like HTC Volume Control). I see a setting in the skin.ini, but even when I select a sound that I have on device it does nothing. I have tried also putting the sound into the program folder as well.
As a sidenote, with the newer builds of wm6.5 the volume buttons are not opening HTC volume control. I see you are able to "hook" those keys, any way you can look into hooking them soi HTC Volume Control will work again?

I guess that the hooking method they use doesn't work with the latest builds. It may be as simple as a changed window or process name. Unfortunately I can't do nothing about that.

Just to let you know this app works on HTC Herald with WM6.5 build 23031. It restores the side slider volume function that was changed to scrolling with the latest builds as long at SetVolume is running in memory. Unfortunately, it stops functioning while in a call. Is it supposed to control in-call volume? After the call is over, the system/ringer volume control works again.

However, its not a major issue since I dont change in-call volume that often (its usually on MAX).

In-call volume also does not work for me. I installed on a 6.5.1 ROM without htc volume cooked in, so it's probably not due to a conflict with that. The indicator goes up, but volume remains low. When you make in-call volume screen appear again by pressing volume up, it displays as being on the lowest volume setting (ie the previous change of turning it up did not 'stick'). It sounds like the in-call volume is always set at the lowest level and does not change with hardware buttons or on-screen + symbol.

Hi Marc,
the In Call Volume does have also no effect on LG KS20 (same MSM7200 chip like HTC TyTN II, Touch Cruise & Touch Dual). But default volume is pretty loud, like you activate speaker for hands-free talking.
Where can I download SetVolume V0.6.1 or V0.6.0 without In Call Volume? Because as long I used V0.5.0, I could change In Call Volume thru System Volume.
BTW could you also add a basic EQ to SetVolume?
Trebel and Base Is maybe possible by the default Windows Registry values

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\Trebel (DWORD - 0 > ?)

Any updates Marc? I'm really looking forward to the in-call volume if you can get it working (though even without it, it's much better than the stock WM volume control :)).

I think this will work once I add the new way of hooking keys and volume icon.
Isn't there a registry tweak to open SetVolume on clicking the icon in the taskbar?

Its a really good step! For me the in call adjust shows but adjust nothing, but the first step is great, you only need to edit your program to change the correct registry values. Thx a lot for your work!!!

Hello,
im not sure if i am right here and im sorry for not reading all the 59 pages now.
I tried out your software hoping it would fix my problem, but sadly it doesnt.
I searched with google for about 2 hours and i cant get a way to tell my HTC Diamond to increase/decrease the volume with smaller steps via the hardware buttons. Currently there are only 5 volume steps. It would be really nice to customize the number of volume steps or the per-step-% using the hardware buttons.
Do you think it would be possible to add this feature or does anyone know another solution for change the volume with smaller steps using the hardware button?
(Its very hard for me becaus im using the HTC remote control e100, there is no possibility to change the volume but using the hardware buttons :| )
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
i've installed version 0.7 to my WM 6.5.1 build from RTT Leed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562479
after i did a soft reset the system hang when i press the volume buttons. After a second press the system runs again but nothing is changing. Neither an indicator nor the volume is changing.
Do you have any idea if this is a conflict between the two volume controls or is your volume control not correctly working on 6.5.1. I have read about some other problems on WM 6.5.1 with this build.

In some software menus the volume can be changed in more than 5 levels,
that means you said there are natively only 5 levels for the hardware buttons, right?
Do you really think there is no possibility to change this number of levels, neither in the registry nor by overriding the default button event through another one with a software (e.g. AEBPlus, but i think they use default event handler) ?
I myself am a developer, but not expierienced with winmo. If you could give me a hint, possibly i could start my first winmo project, fixing this very annoying hardware-button-volume problem.
Thanks.

In order to have more steps you need to route all audio through your application and then process the signal. This is something that has been asked a lot in this thread, but I don't have this on my roadmap.

Hello everyone.
I was trying to create a skin with 10 degrees of loudness. But I failed.
I made it out of diamond wvga theme. Here is a link to text of my new diamondWVGA.ini:
http://dpaste.org/YCOk/
There are the appropriate files for 10, 30, 50 etc percent of loudness in the skin folder.
But the program shows up with only 5 standart degrees, as if I didn't change anything.
When browsing the skin with shown polygons - there are only polygons for five of the loudness degrees. There are gaps between them. Exactli where my custom degrees should be.
If anyone is interested in the same purpose - read it and tell me whats wrong.
Excuse my English - I am from Russia.

Only 5 steps are supported in WM and so the tool allows only 5 steps in a skin too.

In the current version InCall volume is broken. To adjust InCall volume don't run SetVolume and disable HTC Volume and call yourself from another phone. You should be able to change the InCall volume using the standard windows Volume Control.

WinMo only supports 5 levels natively.
To solve this WinMo issue, do you think is it possible to make a small soft which has this behaviour : When we use the +vol button, this soft will decrease the volume with -1, -2, -3 ou -4 step (tuned by reg key), the result will be to increase of 5-1=4,5-2=3, etc... The opposit with -vol button.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to make such a soft, but I convinced that it is simple for you. What do you think about that ?

How should this work? WM only supports 5 levels. I can't force it to do half steps or so.
Once for all: There will be no more than 5 steps for the volume.

I am using Windows Mobile 23088 of an HTC Fuze (Raphael) in the United States.
This Volume control is great improvement for finger friendliness to the Windows Volume control.
---
A few minor issues:
I am not getting any sound for the volume steps.
Initially it did not tie into the volume keys after a soft reset. I needed to create a shortcut and put it in the Windows\Startup folder.
I would like the first press to not change the volume level. The HTC Volume Control does not change it on first press. I'm sure some like this as it is, so if that could be added and configurable, that would be great.
---
The ROM cookers haven't figured out how to launch the HTC Volume volume control with the later 6.5.1 builds. Your app works great for this.

But do you know if it is possible to change the volume in steps of 1 instead of 3 or 4, registry change or something? As it stands the volume steps are too great when using device as MP3 player using headphones. Also in-call volume doesn’t work but I under stand you are aware of this.

See post 566. He has answered this in other places as well. Windows Mobile only supports 5 levels of volume. Also, see his post on November 9th.
I'm not sure if the HTC Volume control just tricked us into thinking there were more, by haveing 16 levels on the screen. Maybe there were only 5 real levels, with 16 on the screen. Or maybe HTC would apply an equalization to the sounds to partially reduce the level.
In any case, Windows Mobile only has 5 real levels. Any additional levels are not supported by Windows Mobile directly.
So either HTC was tricking us and there were not 16 levels. And by this, I mean that they might have provided a UI that visually looks like 16 levels, so that it will appear more gradual, but actually is only using the 5 windows levels. Or they were creating virtual levels by doing something like equalizaton behind the scene.
In any case, from Marc's posts on this, it does not sound possible and he is frustrated with people requesting this.
So, unless you, or anybody else that wants this, posts a way with actual details (registry entries, dll entry points, etc ) to make 16 levels, then there is no point to request it.

JVH3, thanks for your reply. I am personally using a windows mobile 6.5.1 cooked rom. Various 6.5 cooked roms by Dutty and Xannytech have managed to make the volume steps on the HTC volume change by 1, but the new 6.5.1 roms have not got the HTC volume control cooked in as 6.5.1 has apparently not been officially been realised by Microsoft.
So it is definitely possable to have individually steps (I think probably around 16) on the HTC volume app, it is not a trick.

HTC is cheating - even if you can "change" the volume in smaller steps the underlying volume is only changed every 3 steps.
I did a shitload of analyzing how the HTC Volume Control works and this was one of the things I found.

Thanks for replying Marc, all I can say is how ever HTC “cheats” with their volume app, the result is that the volume increases and decreases in small steps which make the device work perfectly as an MP3 player using headphones. Using the 5 WM steps results in either it being too loud or too quite.
It is a shame that it can not be copied in some way with your app. Apart from that, your app is great, thanks

I think what your referring to is the volume control inside of your MP3 application. For instance Windows Media Player does move in "1" increments, but thats inherent to the program not the system. I believe this is meant to be a System Wide volume control so it takes control away from the programs that may work in "1" steps. Maybe that would be a good feature for the future but based on the vast amount of MP3 programs I personally wouldn't do it just for compatibility nightmares.
Marc-
Added the ability to change between system volume and ringtone volume for smartphones yet? The similar program I made doesnt hook the volume buttons and I'm not sure I want to put that kind of work into it!

No, I am referring to the system volume incrementing in small steps via the hardware volume buttons, not the application volume. The application volume is controlled via the on screen buttons and is not controlled by the hardware volume buttons.

when I cook SetVolume into the ROM, to run it I'm still forced to manually select a skin prior to even being able to run SetVolume, or else I get an error that says 'no skin for your resolution' or something along those lines.
Is there a way to preselect a skin in my package, and just get rid of all non-vga skins?
thanks!

Of course, and that's what I've done, but some problems persisted.
I guess I just wanted to know more about the workings of SetVolume - the settings.ini file was what I really needed to know about, but it does not exist in the .cab file, so until you mentioned it in an unrelated previous post I didn't know that that was just what I was looking for.

I use WM6.5.1/3 ROMs.
I tried 0.7.1, 0.7.0, 0.6.1 and 0.6.0 versions, but when i accepted call, i have 1 sec waiting, and than i hear the caller, if possible pls fix 1sec bug :)
i press de call button for pick up, but i hear my ringtone +1 sec, and then connect to my caller.
This bug just for me?
Can also confirm this problem with WM6.5.3... installed SetVolume and ring/vibration continues for ~1s after answering a call (using both hardware button and slider) and I cannot hear caller until it stops.
On answering, the ringtone volume is decreased somewhat.
I've also observed the SetVolume screen visible behind the dialer canvas.
Hope this helps with diagnosing.
Other than that - great work and I'll continue to use it...
Just a suggestion too - is it possible to have the option for combined system/ring volumes (rather than two separate screens)?
Cheers

Of course, and that's what I've done, but some problems persisted.
I guess I just wanted to know more about the workings of SetVolume - the settings.ini file was what I really needed to know about, but it does not exist in the .cab file, so until you mentioned it in an unrelated previous post I didn't know that that was just what I was looking for.
cheers

Now I see what you mean. Do you still need some info for the settings.ini?

of course: no
I tested many times, if Setvolume run, i have 1sec bug. If no, i hear my caller inmidiately, not 1 sec after.

Thanks Marc! I'm 99% there now, found settings.ini from a test cab install. Now I just need to get my ext package for the rom perfect, only remaining issue is shortcut path(s) which is not a SetVolume issue. If I run into any problems I'll report back.

How do i get the hardware volume keys to use setvolume??? Im using an att fuze on NRG's dec2 build 230008 standard manila 2.1 rom. I put a shortcut to the .exe file in the windows/startup folder but that doesnt do anything. When i use the hardware volume keys it just uses the wm volume instead of this app. Even if i open the app via the shortcut in start menu, adjust volume, then try pressing the hardware key this time, wm volume control still comes up. Dont get it? Do i have to manually map this app using a program like AEGBplus to the hardware volume keys?

After adjusting the volume i tap on the black background somewhere to minimize the app after getting my volume settings, now theres a white/black sip box for the sip keyboard in the lower right corner of the screen. I have to press the end hardware key to make it go away. This happens now after each use of this app. Anyone else get this? Fix? I can provide a screenshot if needed, thanks.

First of all i appreciate you for such a good app.
I was surfing through the pages to find out a solution regarding mapping volume up and down buttons to this app when windows starts(not after manually program started ).
I put the .ink file directly to the startup folder but it somehow failed.
Now fortunately i found the solution using SK Tools.Just open it and click windows startup then add .ink files then make a soft reset.
Hope it will work for you as well so that you don't be in a dilemma between using it or not.
With the latest version , i haven't tried during talking to someone. If it works too , then this is the most beautiful one:)

Thanks a lot, though there are a few bugs (version 0.8.0):
- My hardware volume keys do not link to SetVolume, but rather to the HTC volume control, unless I run SetVolumeConfig first. I think after that it uses SetVolume, until I have soft resetted.
- On WVGA, the interface is too much on top, as if it was a VGA screen. It should be more lowered, and centered on the screen. Could you please fix this?

-How should I not run it together with HTC volume control? I don't want HTC Volume control and only your app, but how? HTC Volume control is just a part of the rom.
-Didn't notice I enabled the skin debugging feature, my fault. However disabling it didn't fix it, only after a soft reset.
-Is there a link to a better WVGA skin? If not, I can try to fix it myself.
-Also I don't get any sound notifications.
thx again :)

You need to disable it through the Registry. However I don't have the specific entry at hand.

You need to restart SetVolume so it load the new settings.

I think there aren't any other WVGA skins around.

I removed HTC Volume Control (link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2718080&postcount=7)), added a .lnk to SetVolume in Windows\Startup\ (why doesn't it do this on installation?), and all works well now.
Still have to reskin it to make it more pretty in WVGA.
The only bug that remains though, is that it opens SetVolume when I am being called! No idea what might cause this. This is a deal breaker for me until it gets solved, but thank you very much for all your help MarcLandis!

Running build 28008, when I press the clock to bring up the Title Bar List (drop-down list w/icons for launching system apps), and I press the Volume icon, I get the stock volume control. Once that times out, or I press "OK", Set Volume shows up. I have the "hook volume icon" option selected in the Config, and SetVolume hooks to the hardware keys correctly. I also use Notification Enhancement in my ROM, so I don't know if that's the issue, or whether your "hook volume icon" option was only for the icon in on the top bar (where Notification Enhancement isn't used), and not for the newer 6.5.x Title Bar List.
Any assistance you can offer is appreciated :).

Hooking the volume icon isn't working great at all and probably best using WM 6.1 or 6.5. I still have to change the way hooking works but it is complicated.

After putting the shortcut in the windows/StartUp folder, you need to reset. I assume you know that though. Based on other posts of yours, I know you are not a novice.
I think I recall a post of yours saying that you are using AEGBPlus to map the back button to get to the task manager.
It could be that AEGBPlus is intercepting the volume key notification and not passing the message through. From what I can tell, this app is recieving the message that the key is being pressed and then responds to the message. But if the message was already recieved by nother app, it would not necessarily pass it on.
Other programs I use aren't always good about passing messages on to other apps. One app, "FlipIt" does not pass the message through to manila. This is why Manila 2.5 Photo and Music don't work right in landscape when flip it is used.
Is there a setting in AEGBPlus to ensure the messages will get passed on to other apps?
Everything is working great for me with the volume control, and I don't get a 1 second delay like some users reported.

Im using your SetVolume to replace ugly WM6.5.1 VolControl.
When theres an incoming call I want to be able to mute my phone instantly. HTCVolumeChanger did this pretty well. So one press on "vol down" muted the incoming ring (don't think it actually turned down the volume to 0 - just muted incoming call)
Would be nice to have this feature in SetVolume also - cause often i need it.
So I could mute the phone as quick as possible (not being annoying to others anymore) and then watch whos caling deciding if its important or not.

I found the reason why it opens SetVolume for some and not for others.
When using the Phone Canvas Slider to accept a call the key for Volume Up is send. No idea why but I will try to find a way to avoid this.
When using the hardware button to accept the call all is fine.

The setup is not exactly chef freindly, but not too tough to get sorted. Here's what I did:
1) Install the cab in an existing ROM on your phone, copy the settings.ini from /Windows/ to your PC to add to package
2) OEM-ize the cab. Not sure what kitchen you're using, but either way you're going to need to package this, of course.
3) In package (or OEM-izer) delete resolutions that are not applicable for your device.
4) Add settings.ini file to package, add a shortcut to \Windows\Startup\
Would be great if author of this program included the settings.ini file in the cab, that way we could skip that first installation.

Could you please make a small independent exe with just command line operations (or at least allow the main exe to run the commands without checking if the other app components exist)?
I've been using BSSound with my HS++ theme but it lacks commands (so I must always toggle between sound->vibrate->mute).
The commands to toggle vibration/mute/sound, increase/decrease volume and select either to apply to system/ringer/both would give a complete volume control command line based tool (perfect for using with scripts).
I've found some apps that do (part of) this but since they're C# it takes them some time to load and do their job... C++ would be almost instantaneous.

Is anyone else having issues with changing the in-call volume? It seems to work for me, but the amount of change is quite small except for the bottom of the slider where it goes very low. Otherwise it's normal level. Also I've noticed that the in-call volume control looks to be tied to my bluetooth headset as well. The Ringer and System volume controls are not tied. I'd rather have them all not tied so I can have independant control of the volume level on the headset separate from that of the phone.
I'm using v0.80 with NFSFan's 6.5 ROM on my HTC Vogue Touch CDMA (VZW).
Thx!

You should be creating a shortcut to it and copying the shortcut to the startup folder.

Ok, well how do you create the shortcut in the startup folder for Setvolume? I wanted to do the same thing, and I realized that copying he exe. file would not be right, but I didn't know which file I should copy, or whether there was something else I was supposed to do?

OK, go to the folder where you installed SetVolume. Tap and hold til the menu pops up. Click copy. Go to windows/start menu/programs (mine is spanish so names may differ). click and hold on an empty space at the bottom and select create shortcut. You can change name if you want to. :)

Hi Marc,
first of all I would like to thank you 4 the nice app.
I´m owner of a HTC HD2 and so I tried your app. But it´s not possible to use it. After installation I configured the app and I tried to save the settings, but I couldn´t see if my settings will be saved. There is no message for success.
If I opend the app "Set Volume" I got the message:"No skin found for you resolution."
May you can help me?
thanks a lot and Greetings from Haßloch (Pfalz)

Hi marc,
is it possible to increase the volume steps? At the moment there only 5 steps each of one is the 20%. Is it possible to set the step to 10% to have 10 volume steps?
Thanks in advance.

Great App - just found out how to change from ringer to system volume - tap the title - simple when you know how (pays to read the posts). Can the "Chain" and "iphone-ish" skins be used on WVGA and if so how? Are there any other WVGA skins out there? Thanks again for a great app - especially the transparent background

Hi MarcLandis,
Many thanks for your work, SetVolume is amazing! InCall volume works fine on my Blackstone with my custom Leo ROM (23547), the only thing I really miss is the mute incoming call with the VolDown button. I searched the thread and found people were asking for this feature several times but you never replied. May be one day you could have a look at this problem?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi MarcLandis,
There is one thing that you really need to add:
Volume steps. from 20% per step to 5% or something like that ;)

I decided to rearrange the WVGA skins, to be more finger friendly and more "WVGA"...
If you like it, download from >>>>>HERE<<<<< (http://rapidshare.com/files/382541533/800X480.rar)
(you will find both 'diamondWVGA' and 'diamondTransparentWVGA', inside .rar)
P.S. MarcLandis, thank you for this wonderful application!:)

Hi !
The InCall volume feature of SetVolume is causing issues on my phone (the other features of SetVolume works GREAT !).
A simple solution would be to disable the InCall volume feature: How to disable the InCall feature of SetVolume ?

I am in the middle of reworking the skinning engine. When I am done this should be possible.
is it now possible to have the system and the ringer volume as separate sliders or do we still need to have a button to switch between them?

thanks for this cool app. it solves my "grey-volume-bar-problem-with-no-indicators". works fine on my hd2. also in-call-volume works fine.
only thing that doesnt work "nice" is landscape mode. I used bsb to rotate setvolume. but the landscape background isn't centered, it is displace to the left.
are there any solutions for that .....
best,
neugier

It's very nice program.
Compare with original wm volume controller, this is almost premium class!! :D
But, I have a little bit inconvenience.
current order is Volume MAX---MIN---Vibrate---Mute
what my suggest is Volume MAX---MIN---Mute---Vibrate
Because when I push volume down button, it could be easy to turn
off every notifications when I have a call. :(
Please give me a selection which can change ordering like above.
Thank you!!

Actually you can set your volume to any percentage you want at least I tried and it worked for me. Try for yourself, in registry editor open "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Volume/Volume" key and set it in HEX to 11111111 this will be less than the lowest value you can set, you will see (hear) the difference. If you will implement this in your application I think there is possibility to set the volume by 5% or even less.

Hey MarcLandis,
Thank you a lot for this great app.
I'm just sad that I didn't know about its existence before, lol...
It's an awesome replacement for the default WinMo Volume Control, since I can't use the HTC on my Raph.
Peace!

You need to start the tool manually or add a shortcut in the startup folder.
MarcLandis, this is a very needed apps for WM 6.5 custom roms that you are building.
I have created a shortcut link on the exe file w/o parameters. On the reboot, there brings up the volume control panel which clashed with the SIP and prevented it loading. After a while, SetVolume retrieved. Tapping on the resident volume control icon of the task bar can only call up the rudimental windows volume control. I have 2 questions on the implementation, please help me:
(1) Which of these parameters, i.e, -hide / -inc / -dec / -close is/are to be added on the link to make SetVolume resident (replacing the windows one on the task bar)?
(a) -hide avoided the bootup clash but cannot hook onto the volume buttons & the taskbar icons (though they were checked in the ini file). Press the "OK" button of the Windows Volume Control then the SetVolume Panel comes up. Sometimes wouldn't come up at all (same for both volume buttons & the taskbar icons).
(b) -close alone, clashes in the device bootup process. My SIP couldn't loaded as in (a), but SetVolume could hook on the buttons and the taskbar icons after the Windows VC Panel. This time, there was no need to press the "OK" soft button.
(c) Tried both parameters together,-hide -close, no clash during the device bootup, SetVolume hooks after the Windows VC Panel popped up for a while, no need for intervention and SetVolume comes up. However it is not stable - sometimes the SetVolume Panel wouldn't come up at all leaving the Windows one active.
(d) I have no gut to test other combinations, cause too wide, and can't predict what would happen!
For dummies like me, I wish you could leave some notes on what these commandlines are meant for individually, and whether or not they can be use in combination. I already spent hours flipping page after page here, have done much googling and still couldn't get your instruction on these parameters :(.
(2) The SetVolume is installed on HTC Blackstone, ROM BlackstoneHenge Hyper 3.9 M2.5 [WWE]. I have changed the Manila Language. Is there a possibility for me to change the language say, "Vibrate", "System", "Phone" into Traditional Chinese by translating certain windows file(s)? Please let me know what these files are if you may.
PS: I suggest for these WVGAs, two volume controls laid side by side would be perfect.
Many thanks!
