Manila dialer, in the AP4 addons has the video call button, BUT in ANY DIALER video call works ONLY in 192 DPI resolution. (I've tested with manila dialer too).
The only way to place (or receive) a video call is:
1) in REAL VGA menu chose 192 DPI, UNCHECK disable phone skin checkbox.
2) The phone is restarted and you have the original phone dialer, with video call WORKING.
To restore the old resolution:
1) REALVGA , 96 (or 128) DPI, check disable PHONE SKIN.
2) The phone is restarted.
If you choose to uncheck the DISABLE PHONE SKIN checkbox you will have a 96 (or 128) phone pad with VIDEO CALL button enabled, but, if you try to place a video call..., no way ho have it placed! :(
Video call feature isn't in WM OS and is an external application, not working in any other resolution. the problem ISN'T related to the phone SKIN,the problem is the application! :(

Grazie Sergiopi...
so I have installed Manila dialer and the main screen of dialer shows on the left my contacts and on the right the dialer and no call button at all. I mean if you have to place a call you have to choose a contact from the list, than open menu option and select the only option available that is "Video Call". It seems to be a little bit complex...not a quick solution to place a call.
I'd like to have the original WM6 phone dialer skin. I think it was the only one simple and quick to use...
So if you have any links where to download it, it would be great.
The one that comes with IRUS Full ROM (great rom indeed) is T-mobile style...really not the best one.
Grazie!

Sorry, I haven't any link for the original color scheme, but may be in the UNIVERSAL section you will find something...

Hi,
It is not exactly the case. I use 128dpi but with UNCHECKED "Disable phone skin" checkbox so the original dialer loads with VideoCall button. I can receive and initiate Video Calls successfully. The only drawback is that the smart dialing function is messed up because of improperly showed fields with selected contacts.
If Manilla Dialer from AP4 can fix this then excellent.
I use Irus WWE 6.1 but this was in all ROMS with 128 dpi and 96 dpi, in my case.
Edit:
Manila Dialer is nice, but has 2 drowbacks. It has no Video Call option. It also does not have a Call/Send button. If smart dialing function selects a contact for you, then the only possibility to place a call is to have your keyboard with you or use a "Video Call" option from menu, which, actually initiates standard call instead of video.

So we are in the starting point. We are looking for dialer which will have the following features:
1. The smart dialing function should work properly in all possible dpis (192/128/96 at least).
2. There is a Send/Call button.
3. Video call is possible.
4. It provides call History and Speed Dial option
5. It has nice shape.
I am surprised that there is so many dialler's here but non of it fulfils those obvious conditions. Or I have missed one?

I have noticed that not everybody knows that there are two diallers in our roms.
-First one is built in WM6 by M$. This one is very basic and with not axactly nice front end. But it works in any DPI. It does not have video call option, but smart dialing (if you have it in your system) works properly also in 128/96 dpi. This is the dialer wich you see after marking "Disable phone skin" in RealVGA.
-Second one is supplied by the producer or cook of the rom. This one usually is prepared only to work in 192 dpi. It can be used in 128/96 dpi, however, but then you have the smart dialing fields messed up. Those diallers usually have Video Call option if were prepared by the producer of rom for particular phone with hardware for video call. Such dialer is usualy a default one initialy, but you can switch it of in RealVGA marking "Disable phone skin" or using Schap's Advanced Config.
There are also some "after market" dialers mainly prepared by xda devs, but mostly do not have video call option and some of them also do not have smart dialing feature.
I think devs should consider going forward and stop producing another dialers with button for dialing on the right side or left side, because all of this does not make much sense. The dialer should provide ALL features available in the hardware so if somebody claims that his dialer is for Athena, then it should work in all available dpis and with all features (video call and smart dialing). If not then please do not waste any-body's time for testing.
