I need a little help with WMWifiRouter please.

phone: xv-6800
rom: dcd 3.0.4
radio: 3.35.04

I downloaded and installed the trail version of WMIWifiRouter. I have gotten it to the point that it starts up cleanly, my laptop see's the connection and the laptop says it is connected.

I can not browse any websites from the laptop. I did not install any other hacks to make this work, I didn't make any registry changes, etc, etc, etc. Is there something else I need to do, I've never even did tethering with this. Ultimately I want this to work so my PSP and iTouch can use the connection.

You didn't give the version of router SW. I'll assume it's the newest. I had a problem with this new version from the get-go. I reverted to version .91 and it works like a charm. Make sure you have ICS (internet connection software) installed. You're running DCD's so it should be there. I'm on the stock rom Rev A and .91 works perfect for me.

I was using the latest trail version, I have now uninstalled it and installed the .91 version. I am running into the same problem, it connects then sits on Acquiring Network Address for a long time and then I end up with 169.254.101.184/255.255.0.0 which does nothing for me.

I've tried it with and without "Use DHCP Allocator" and I've tried it by browsing the wireless connections available as well as making an adhoc computer to computer one from the laptop.

Wireless see's the SID, and when connected it says "Unsecured computer-to-computer network. ICS appears to be running and connected and WMWifiRouter appears to be running/ready.

You must have the wifi switch turn on and enabled for the program to work.
