Radio problem with TIM (ITALY)

Hi guys. I have a little trouble with my hermes, recently I've changed the sim from WIND to TIM (Italian Operators). But with the TIM Sim Card when i'm under GPRS or Edge signal (with strange signal), I can't make or receive any call,it seem like no signal but i can see the icon and strengt. If I force the phone to use the UMTS band is all ok, but I need the Gprs, where I live no umts coverage.. With the WIND SIM works fine.

I's a radio problem or what else? I'm using the latest radio, I need to try an older one?

Ciao ragazzi. Ho un piccolo problema con il mio Hermes: sono passato da wind a Tim e ho notato che con la nuova SIM quando sono sotto copertura GPRS mi mostra il segnale e pare tutto ok, però quando provo a fare o ricevere una telefonata è come se fossi irraggiungibile. Provo a spiegarmi meglio: sono sotto copertura gprs/edge con segnale pieno, compongo un numero di telefono e dopo qualche secondo di silenzio mi fa il bip-bip di quando non ha abbastanza segnale. Se invece forzo il telefono a usare solo la banda UMTS funziona tutto alla grande. Visto che invece con la WIND andava alla grande dovrebbe dipendere dalla scheda TIM. Nessuno ha avuto prolemi simili? Ho provato anche l'ultima versione radio e non cambia niente... dovrei provarne una più vecchia?
Per favore, se avete idee sono qui.

Hai provato da network e band a vedere se hai bloccato la banda su gsm? magari dipende da quello... non credo sia problema di radio,la radio ti fa prendere meglio il cell... al massimo prova a fare un hard reset.

Do you try to check if in settings the band is locked on gsm? I don't think it's a radio problem, also you can try an hard reset.

I've tryed all the options, also hard reset, but no solution. Which Radio version you're using? It's possible an incompatibility with the 128k SIM card?

Ho provato tutte le opzioni che hai detto ma senza trovare la soluzione. Che versione radio stai usando? E' possibile che sia la SIM da 128k a essere incompatibile???

I have installed the 1.47.30.10 with h3g ita, and my sim it's an 128k card.

Ho la 1.47.30.10 con tre e la sim è da 128, hai provato a vedere se la sim è attiva? o se funziona in altri cell?

My simcard work only in UMTS band, in egde or gprs I can't make or receive calls if I have any kind of signal. Aww.. :(


La mia sim funziona solo con la banda UMTS, mentre non va con la EDGE e GPRS anche se ho tutte le tacche di segnale... sembra connesso alla linea ma quando provo a chiamare mi da come se fossi fuori campo. Eppure con la wind mi andava tutto alla grande.. l'unica differenza è la sim che è da 128k. Mio padre ha un palmare simile, ma ora è in assistenza. Appena torna provo a vedere che versione di radio ha.

Ciao, io uso una SIM di Tre ed una TIM senza nessun problema: ho la radio versione 1.54.30.10 ed ho provato varie versioni di WM6, ed attualmente ho la CRC 10.4 che uso con soddisfazione...:D

Probabilmente è il mio telefono a essere bacato, ho usato la stessa radio e non mi va. E' marchiato Vodafone ma con la wind andava...

Bah, lo cambierò con un bel Diamond appena esce.

I had the same issue when I used Radio 1.54... Everything works well since I downgraded to 1.47.30.10


io con tim ho dovuto rimettere la 1.47.30.10 perchè con la 1.54 avevo diversi problemi...prova a riflashare solo la parte radio con la 1.47

Resta il fatto che con tim la batteria dura molto MENO che con vodafone... evidentemente con voda ci sono molti meno inutili switch tra umts e hsdpa...
