HTC Diamond CustomRUU patched to perform a flash radio,splash screen,rom cooker.
Will help make reset when it has finished flashing ( Useful when you want to flash just a Radio,Splash screen.. )

In theory, it should be possible to flash that ROM, and then flash any ROM that comes the Diamonds way, however it may not flash, and you may brick your device...

no point, all it takes is change the "task 28" ascii string, then take all the RUU files and pack them in one exe, then customruu is done, and this is available right in this thread already.

keep your setting normal.Just change Radio version :)

Thanks for your reply :) I have the 1.37 NLD ROM, it came out of the factory with the 1.35 ROM and i flashed it with the official HTC ROM. Didn't change anything else yet. Is it still possible to use the RUU with an orginal ROM or do i have to perform some changes first?

En suite j'ai effectué le flashage de ma ROM SFR Bidon en ROM HTC FR 1.37.406.1

J'essaie d'appliquer la procédure pour mettre à niveau la ROM Radio 1.00.25.03 en 1.00.25.05 mais lorsque je double clic sur DiamondCutomRUU.exe j'ai un message d"erreur :

DiamondCutomRUU.exe - Erreur d'application
L'application n'a pas réussi à s'initialiser (0xc00000135). Cliquez sur OK pour arrêter l'application.

Ils sont pourtant dans le même répertoire. J'ai pensé un moment que mon fichier était corrompu... Mais j'essaye avec un DiamondCutomRUU.exe téléchargé sur Rapidshare et un autre directement sur le site XDA Developers...

i tried every possible combination of signed / unsigned hspl and custom ruu. even tried other ruus i found in the forum but in the end the one i used was the only one that worked. well ... it's done now and im very happy with the snappy response from the DiamondProjectTeam ROM V2. this is how the interface should have been like from the very beginning :p

i lost my data so many times over the last week that i can't really remember when it gets deleted and when not. just use pim backup utility (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705) and you wont have to worry anymore :p

My first post here!. I've found lots of information for my Diamond in these forums.

My HTC Diamond is using Bepe's ROM, 05 Radio, and 1.40 SPL.

Yesterday, I wanted to test another rom (Diamond Project Team ROM). I used to be able to flash without problems, but yesterday, I've tried twice and this is what happened:

- HTC connected to my laptop, no USB hub.
- Activesync running
- Ran the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
- Device rebooted and entered the 3 colour upgrade mode thingy.
- My windows (XP SP2) went into the BSOD.

Luckily my Diamond is fine for both occasions. Plugged off the battery turned it on, and everything is fine.

Anyone had this problem before? Any advice appreciated.

tested both in native Windows XP and Windows XP running on MAC (Parallels).
Utility would not start at all. Original ROmUpdateUtility.exe works perfectly fine though

I wonder if this issue is locale specific. I have no problem on English XP and Vista.

I solved it with installing .Net 1.1 or .Net 2.0

I am not sure wich one it really was, but after installing it runs smooth.
So maybe someone else figures out wich one is really missing :-)

WARNING: do not use SSPL to flash a radio!!!!

black screen means it is SSPL.

just flash HardSPL first, using SSPL (black screen. do not replug usb!!).

after that use the installed HardSPL to flash the radio. this time you must see tricolour screen or you are doing something wrong.

Hi, I have test your rom, installation is really fast ! (nothing in package of course), and speed is good.
I have add some speed improvement by setting all tweak from T3DFlowConfig (tweak for speed)
and set in advanced config tools :
system cache: 4M (think by default in your rom)
read sector : 65k (some)
grow up glyph to : 128k

everything run really smoothly, more (lot of more) than TLR rom ...

I have seen that in fact, nothing is install by default (include) in your package. So of course, speed is wow !!!!

can see my pics are high speed, zoom unzoom with thinger, starting opera zoom / dezoom smoothly.

I have the T-mobile branded P3702 running on the unsigned Olinex 1.40 SPL and the latest swiftBL v5.5 rom. I would like to update my radio to 1.00.25.5 with Custom RUU but when I try to run it, it keeps giving an error. I copied both the radio and the customruu.exe to the same folder on my internal storage.

'The application failed to load required components. If the .NET Compact Framework is installed on a storage card, please ensure that this card in place and launch the application again. If this fails, a re-installation of the .NET Framework is recommended. Support info:-2147483643 (80000005)

.NET CF 3.5 is already pre-installed in the SwiftBL rom right? Tried to re-install it but keeps getting me an error. Any help?

As above but needs to run from your PC not internal storage - then the RUU will launch - the process is the same as flashing a ROM.

In the sticky guide it says:


1. Download Custom RUU from here;
2. Download Radio 1.00.25.05 (and others) from here;
3. Extract the downloaded Custom RUU from step 1 into a new folder on your device;

Yes that would work or Duttys ROM... which also contains the radio 05

That error looks like a memory error - have you restarted your PC lately. I would suggest unzipping the Diamond project Custom utility again and adding the radio file then trying again (after a PC restart of course)

No problem :D as the SwiftBL ROM does not contain a radio the existing one remains when flashed

Argghh.. Dutty's rom also works with the CustomRUU utility which i can't open :rolleyes:

Edit: I think it's the absence of .NET Framework 2.0 on my computer. Edit 2: Yes it was!

check u have latest version of Microsoft .net Framework on your PC.

Check that the update file (.nbh) is not corrupted.

Deer developers, i'm kevin from belgium.

I have a diamond htc (diam 100 ), spbl 1.93 (official rom, the latest from htc).

I would like to flash my phone , but i'm affraid , i work @ internet security company, as technical engineer.
I'm not able to find the right info on how to do this.

i have a gsm diamond (not carrier locked).
How do i install a custom rom on htc?

I tried doing this , but i receive a 262 communication error.

i've been reading for days about spbl and roms i found roms i really like (depending on screenshots and reviews).

Could someone redirect me to the right topic or respond with some kind of procedure?

Also additional info is always welcome, because i also read about, cdma, sprint or ..(gsm???) but i don't understand the difference.

I'm a real noob....

have the same problem...the others say that you just need to install .net 2.0 and it will be ok..i`m noob also..just wanted to fast reply to you..:):D.
