The temporary Internet files, email and attachments are set to their defaults so there's no more asking why you have a Storage Card folder and your SD card is named Storage Card2.
If you want to change it to your SD card you can use Schap's Advanced Config (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070)

Great to hear that you are working on a new ROM again! I've been using your ROMs for quite a while now and really like them.
Do you have any plans to have a go at porting the HTC Diamond ROM to our beloved Trinity? (I think the build is 19588.1.1.4).
Keep up the good work!

Nice... looking forward to it!!
Btw, is anyone experiencing a problem where if you're listening to music, then you pick up a call, the music is silent until you either replug your handsfree, or reopen the music player?
I can be wrong but it seems to be a ROM related issue... any help will be appreciated.

i doubt it will be rom-related issue. depending on the music player, most of them such as core player, pocketplayer are able to resume your music after the call ended. this is also a changeable setting within the player itself.

Hi!
Please check also the BatteryStatus plugin with your rom. The version v3.2 worked correctly with BS, but v3.3 had problems with it, so that WkTask didn't work right anymore whenn BS was installed.
Thank you in advance!

It will be excellent, however.
IMHO we can seek for bugs, not ask about personalization.
It's your rom and your hard work also.

I'm still making some tests, but I'll be releasing the ROM any time soon now.
I'm happy to say that ArcSoftMMS 5 is now fully working. USSD Service is also working.
I still have to test the Bluetooth part, to see if it's working properly this time ( I just can't promise miracles when it comes to having A2DP and opening other apps at the same, because I'm not a developer or programmer...)
I checked very well my OEM part of the ROM, so I think it will be better this time in solving some old issues.
Oh! And most importantly, I have to thank ervius, for one more fine kitchen!!!
you are THE MAN!!!
i don't chk other roms anymore ... take my word for it ... if it's FInixNOver's ... it's GOOD ... I mean really good ;)

Some of this applications are not freeware or with special licensing, because of this I think FInixNOver will not include any of these applications and I totally agree.

Could you please specify these applications which are not freeware, because I never cracked any of those applications & there is no requirement for serial number.
Actually most of them are from xda-developers forum that are local to every one.

After making more tests I have to say that:
A2DP works great, but loading applications like TOMTOM causes the device to slowdown (about 40 seconds to fully load TOMTOM). However, the A2DP connection was never lost in the process (no skipping). In conclusion, the overall performance while using A2DP is lower but maintaining good audio quality.
The wired headset microphone works properly.
WiFi is working good.
BT - sending/receiving large files is good. Couldn't test BT with car kit because I don't have one.
Video Call context menu in contacts is working.
Infrared is working.
Active Sync seems to be working just fine, but I didn't have any problems before, so...
Tomorrow I have to make a large trip and I'll test BT with my hands-free headset (mono) and also test TOMTOM for freezes.
If nothing comes up, tomorrow the ROM will be ready for release.
Don't bother asking to include this or that, or to remove this program or that app. I'm well aware I can't satisfy everyone, so I'll stick with my own choices, and as usual there will be light and normal versions.
I'll try to make them in the 3 colors but no promises (because it means 6 ROMs, so, first there will be black and green ROMs, and when I have more time, I'll include the gray one)
In addition, I can post the skin packs, if someone wants them for whatever reason...
If someone has any other function that may need testing before I release the ROM, post it here, so I can give it a try. If I'm not able to test the function, and it turns out to be an important one, I'll upload a beta ROM for the user or users in question, so they can test it before final release.
And remember, I'm not a programmer or developer, so sometimes it may be harder for me to find the solution for some problems that may appear, so bear with me.
One last thing. I said once, I would never ask for donations, and I won't do so, but I'm thinking about creating a paypal account and putting the link in my signature.
I don't mean to be rewarded by my work or make money over it.
The soul purpose of this is to be able to collect some money to get a second device just for ROM making. As you may know, ROM cooking involves flashing my device many times (you wouldn't believe how many), and the ROM chip has a finite number of flashes that it can take.
So don't feel forced to donate just because of what I've written here. If you feel better donating to XDA Developers, please do so. You'll also be helping me indirectly.

thank you very Much
i post this in 3.1.1 subject land i would like to make sure you read it and test the new ROM
Hello
I am using this ROM from the first day u issued it. Every thing work nice with me, this week I notice a bug which I don’t know wither it is from the rom it self or from other program I install. The bug is that, I was setting the ALARM at 7:30 AM during the work days then changed it to 8:30 AM last week; I notice that it is renigig twoise ?? at 7:30 AM ( the old ALARM Time) and 8:30 AM ( the new ALARM). The solution for that is to deactivate the ALARM then set the new time again.
I know you are working in the new ROM, so please check this issue.
Best Regards

Hi FInixNOver,
I use currently your v3.2 Gray Rom because the 3.3 has a problem with the BatteryStatus plugin. After installing BS, the boot time increases over 40 seconds. The WkTask worked also not correctly anymore if the BS was activated on the to-day screen (random showing and behavior of the [X] and [OK] buttons and the task bar).
Could you please check this in this ROM, before you release it?
Thank you ind advance!

Yeah, I've had the same problem. It doesn't seem to be a ROM related issue, since I've had that problem before. When I try to rotate it makes a zoom instead, but after a while I got used to it, and like tnyynt said

Well, I got back from my car trip and TOMTOM worked just fine all the way.

The 3.3 rom has a bug, the upper right corner buttons does not appear, the configuration selects an image option but the image path isnt selected, i've selected it manualy in the skins tabs and now the buttons appear.
btw: the image is:\windows\buttons_qvga.png
You can do it youself by choosing this image:

Downloaded and flashed my P3600 with Black Normal version and as far I have tested it works perfect.
Only missing the key in dialer to go direct to Call History, in black version I have to use right soft-key Options -> Call History.
But it's incredible fast ROM!!!!! I love it!!! :):)

Great job on this release FInixNOver.. You might wanna post this on your 1st/2nd post:
Changelog (3.3 -> 3.4):
CE OS 5.2.19701 Build 19701.1.0.2 -> 5.2.19213 Build 19213.1.0.4
ArcsoftMMS 5.0.31.16 -> 5.0.31.19
Esmertec Jbed 20080222.3.1 -> 20071119.3.1
SIM Manager 6.42 -> 6.47
I've noticed you've downgraded some applications... is this for stability issues?
Also more importantly, I'm still wondering about this...
Great work!! Nice to see them still coming
Hmmm, how comes 3.4 seems to have an older core OS than 3.3?
3.3 = CE OS 5.2.19701
3.4 = CE OS 5.2.19213

Hello all
Downloading 3.4 right now!
I found in the last few days that there was a problem with 3.3 about battery drain. Fully charged through the night, and at the end of the day i had battery at the end.
I have the same configurations (beam, etc) that i had in 3.1 and 3.2 versions of FInixNOver, so that wasn't the problem. And the battery lasted for 2 days and could last more, but i charged it when it was low than 50% (because from 50 down is faster...)
The only possibility is that i installed some program that changed something... but i can't imagine what...
Anyone had this problem in comparison with the previous versions? Could it be that what FInixNOver changed about beam in 3.3 isn't perfect, like the rest of the ROM?
Anyway, i'm going to flash 3.4 and we'll see if the problem persists...
Thank you FInixNOver for your great work!

Have never had any issue with battery drain with none of FInixNOver's ROMs. They last me for over 72 hours. Check for enabled beams, switch to G from 3G, disable BT and WiFi and look for background programs running

For those of you who might find the Start Menu PopUp sounds annoying, here is the final version of the fix, most easy to use and completely automated.
If you want to enable them though and/or you would like to add them to a ROM without having these sounds, here is the enabler too.
Enjoy! :D

Hello tnyynt
Damn, you are really fast!! ;)
I never had problems before also, just in the last few days and i can't understand why. The only thing i done is switched from 3G to G and it had the opposite effect... The rest, beam, wifi, BT, everything off... How can i check for background programs?
Maybe there was something i installed or changed without knowing very well. We'll see about the 3.4 version now.
Thanks for your fast help!

Check with bundled Task Manager for running background apps, tasks or services. Also look at WkTask's exclude list (those in there are only minimized not closed).

Fisrt of all, thank you very much Fixin for the great ROM.
One question, does anyone experience system stop responding for a a min or two while you try to access a folder with many subfolder in your storage card.
I have experience the system just hang for like 1 or 2 mins when i access this particular sub-folder with the about 105 Megabyte of files. If i access another folder with my music in it( it is 1.2 Gb in size) do not have any problem. Can any one please help.
I had this problem since 3.1 rom.
Please help. Thanks.

i was a bit reluctant on flashing my stable mary 3.7, but i thought, well, i'm bored, so i took the plunge to flash my device with your black rom.
first impression... ewww... i don't like the whole black theme... even the dialer...
so kindda regretted my action...
so i thought... well... since i've flashed my device to something that i don't like, so i might as well try other rom before i go back to mary rom again.
so i decided to give your gray rom a try... and to my surprise... i LIKE IT!
I even like the dialer!!! :D
And i feel an overall increase in speed! so decided to keep this rom on my device!
i haven't tested all of the features yet, but so far no problem with wifi!
Thanks for the good rom!

It's 3.4. It was my mistake when creating the post. I corrected it.
One thing I noticed that when using USSD (*xxx#) and I receive the reply from the network, I am missing the sound. Anyone else noticed?
Yes, I'm aware of it. It happens because I was trying to remove the beep when starting a call, and that also removed the sound when receiving the USSD message.
To get the sound back you must change this value:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InC allFeedback]
"InitVol"=dword: from 00000000 to 00000004

Maybe I'm a bit tired, or maybe we were not on the same page, so the next time when you have a question, just ask instead of making unlucky comments that will inevitably get an harsh answer.
So, to answer you, in a polite way, it doesn't really prevent it from being sold, but it will let the user know if he/she has been played for a fool, by buying something that was meant to be free in the first place. And with that take some action by exposing the seller.
Instructions for the ROM Licenser:
Download the ROM Licenser cab, copy it to your device and install it.
After that you should have a link to the licenser in your programs folder. Run it and press the register me button. That's it!!!

The rom licenser was a good idea in my opinion! You only have to run it once and your fine!
as for leachers the rom licenser cab gets lost and you end up with a naggy rom!
IMHO leachers and sellers should not be "thank you"'d for a work they haven't done!
I would be pro-selling a rom instalation but never a rom distribuition.
And besides... you can always UC the cab... and a copy link to startup... that way it's auto "unnagable"

Hi FInixNOver,
Thanks for the rom first and I have been using your rom since ver 3.1.
However I experienced a slow card reading with this version. My Kingston 1G micro SD runs very slow while installing applications. Most of the applications like HiCalc, MapKing was installed slowly. Is that just my problem or a compatiabiliy issue on this version?
Thanks in advance.

"unlucky comments", good description for our incident. all cleared, hope no hard feelings, i understand that my apologies were accepted.
i did everything you say, tried to install on my sd card, didn't find any prog in sd's program files, now i reinstalled on the device and the only trace of the unlocking program i found it under windows/appmgr/finixnover rom licenser, a single file called 4001.tmp. you have to admit that this is frustrating and can be the cause of "unlucky comments"...
still in fog....:confused: show me the light.

After successfully installing and registering, the nag screen will disappear, you can uninstall the licenser tool and delete all files except for the license itself, which is in My Documents and is called RomLicense.

I posted this problem on the 3.3black thread without getting any response except from another user with the same problem. I have now installed the 3.4 ROM but am having the same WkTask problem.
I have never used WkTask with any other cooker's ROM so I don't know whether this is ROM related but my OK hardware button doesn't close the apps completely, it just minimizes them. I have to tap the top right X to close them fully. I can't find anything in the Preferences to control this.

Of course you won't find the Rom Licenser under Program files folder since it's installed in Windows folder. What I told you is that you would find the link to it in Start->Programs.

This isn't meant to be installed. It's the skin packs I used in my ROMs. I just decided to make them available in case anyone is working on their own ROM, and may not like the default skins, and may not have the skills to create a new one. Or many other reasons... There's no need to install it in my ROMs, since you already can chose the flavor you like best!!

From 7pm-7:30am - all idle time. Im down to 60%.

This is not a bug, or a problem from either the ROM or the program. WkTasK closes applications by pressing the X button on the top bar ONLY. If you want to be able to close applications by pressing the OK Hardware button you must find another program that does that.
That's a shame as I have learned to use my Trinity with minimal Stylus usage and I am sure there are many more like me out there.
Anyone knows about any small app which closes apps with the OK hardware button?
I used Al3x's WM6 rom before and from memory I think it had a little HTC app which did the trick. Anyone knows which app that is and where I can find a cab.
More importantly, would any app like this interfere with WkTasK? I assume I would have to deactivate the Actions in WkTasK preferences for the X/OK button to avoid that both apps would capture the X-tapping event.
Thanks

Once again, battery life checklist:
check to disable WiFi;
check to disable Bluetooth;
check to disable Beams (in case of some ROM versions there are 2 beams);
check to switch 3G/UMTS off;
check for running background apps;
check running processes/tasks list;
try recalibrating the battery;
try reflashing your ROM;
try switching Radio version.

I think the only fair way to test the rom for battery drain is to do the test after hard reset with no other apps installed. If there is normal drain, then add one app at a time to find out which one is causing it.

MP3 Trimmer lets you trim an MP3 file before you set it as a ring tone for your device. By trimming, you can also cut down the file size of the MP3 file.

Sure it's an issue of settings, but a 32 MB RAM device just won't do it. The best a ROM can go is 29 MB free RAM tops.

1-time for a full sync (immediately after hard reset) is aprox 30% of the time it use to take before this rom
2-excelent battery life.
3-even after i opened and close 5-8 programs i still got the initially amount of memory, no "losses".
4-no need for daily soft-resets.
5-not a single freeze.
love this rom!
one more thing:
i was so impressed and pleased with this rom that i donate. i was amazed to found out that i am the only one (yesterday).
ppl! pay a small tribute for the time this dev invested in this rom! our ppc are nothing without a good rom. if you payed a few hundred $ for yr hardware i think it is fare to pay a few $ for the software.

Its a great ROM, keep up the good work! I would like to ask users here if you encounter any problems running Streaming Media properly, meaning that you can call up a RTSP site and the video file plays after buffering ... so far since 3.1, no luck cos the Streaming Media App shuts itself off after buffering till 99%.
Would appreciate your kind expertise.
Was previously using AX3L rom and the Streaming Media works just fine.

I have just got my Trinity two days ago and as soon as the battery was charged, I flashed it with Black Normal. I also have Olipro's HardSPL 1.30 and radio 1.50.
I quite like this ROM so far but I have encountered some issues.
- In settings --> Buttons I can only see buttons 1 and 4, whilst the other hardware buttons don't seem to respond correctly.
- The green dial button, will call the last number in my call history instead of bringing up the dialpad.
- My memory is running too low. I only have 12-13 MB and no applications running in the background. Also, when I open 2-3 tabs in opera it freezes.
Except for these, I have no other issues so far.
Nice rom. Thanks.

For me as well, IGO8 works very nicely on p3600 with this rom.
Is anyone know how to deal with the date time saving, every SR it changes?

Great job on this release FInixNOver.. You might wanna post this on your 1st/2nd post:
Changelog (3.3 -> 3.4):
CE OS 5.2.19701 Build 19701.1.0.2 -> 5.2.19213 Build 19213.1.0.4
ArcsoftMMS 5.0.31.16 -> 5.0.31.19
Esmertec Jbed 20080222.3.1 -> 20071119.3.1
SIM Manager 6.42 -> 6.47
Out of curiosity - other than these points, is there much difference between 3.3 and 3.4? Overall speed? Battery life? And are there any new features in going to the later Arcsoft version?
I just loaded 3.3 last week and am feeling too lazy to reflash again :p
Thanks,
Nick

I had the same problem, IGO8 uses the GPS time and causes the device to change the Sync. time.
Go to Igo /Settinings/Regional/Time & TimeZone Settings, uncheck the 2 Boxes fill in your GMT Zone etc, play around with these settings and you should resolve your problem.

You may already know that iGO8 has a bug which changes the PDA's Time Zone setting in some cases.
If you haven't already done so, copy/paste the following to the SYS.txt file on both the SD-card and the PDA:
[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0
This should take care of any Time Zone problems you have, at least those caused by iGO8.
Cheers!

Nice rom. Thanks.
[EDIT]For the buttons, probably you have installed an application (most likely Voice Speed Dial) which has registry entries not meant for this device.[EDIT]
For the rest, it seems to be a bad flash. Also there have been reports of ROM issues related to Olipro's HardSPL 1.30. You should try to put another HardSPL (maybe DES crash proof - that's what I'm using) in your device, and flash the ROM again.

i just have crashed (again lol) my 3600... so why not try the new version from Fix :D by the way there is a classy black version (i don't like the full illness green version neither the deeply depressed grey version lol)...
and this version rule... i love it... my only regret (because i am still the most never fully satisfied guy) it's not a french version... so i go back to my Netdrg rom... but i still continue to promote your version to my international friend:cool:

That is what I thought too, but thought it was better to ask, just in case. I have flashed your Grey Normal rom and the buttons worked. I then flashed Grey Light and again all worked, whilst the speed was more satisfying. After installing some programs, the button issue came up again. My first suspect was LENG keyboard (despite having disabled both interface translation and external keyboard support), which I uninstalled and the buttons now work as they should.
I will also check Des' HardSPL you mentioned.
Thank you for your reply. The reason I chose your ROM was your good support you provided in your previous ROM/threads.
Keep up the good work.

Nice ROM there.
Personally I've not flashed the ROM because just got the phone. Get the phone because I see all the ROMs available here. Too attractive.
My suggestion though to any ROM:
Make it as clean as possible. Those who want to have AppA to AppZ, go and install yourself. It's not that difficult isn't it?

Hi all.
QUESTION 1: Do both the LIGHT and NORMAL version of FInixNOver 3.4 Rom include the fix to stop losing data (like device id) after a soft reset?
QUESTION 2: Is there not a cab file (or similar) just for this fix, or is it only available by flashing a rom with it cooked in?
My current ROM is "Mary v3.7 SL" (runs great apart from this issue). I like using it with a simple "Spb software" look (mobile shell, pocket plus, etc) but if flashing the FInixNOver 3.4 Rom is the only solution to stop my device id changing, I may have to get used to the HTC software.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help answer my questions (and of course FInixNOver for his time and effort),

Your idea would be good, if it wasn't for the fact that installing many and many applications, will eventually slow your device, so, the clean ROM, as you mention, is the best choice for those who install few apps and are storage hungry. A ROM that has some commonly used apps (by the majority of people), will prevent that slow down because the apps are already built in the ROM.

All ROM versions have that fix, and it cannot be implemented into a ROM without flashing a full ROM, because this fix is located in the XIP part of the ROM.
If you like SPB software you can still use it with my ROMs. All you have to do, is flash the light version, and you will not have HTC software, for the exception of HTC Random Access.

I've found that 3.3 to be a lot faster/responsive. than 3.4 I'll stick with 3.3 until this works as fast as you Black 3.3 version of the rom. 3.3 is just the right ballance. I can rdp through wifi and make calls. One thin I have found is that the contacts program, the Imac wannabe doesn't seem to work any more. I super CID and unlocked the phone then ran the 3.3 rom update. I may need to reset again. I'll let you know. The comms manager is a bit funky too. it's not turning off or on WIFI. Your rom is fast and these faults have only surfaced in the black version. the green version worked on my White trin. I got a replacement over the weekend cause the Screen was not working right. Can't decide on black or grey though. black is very cool.

To answer some questions:
I didn't notice that this build is slower compared to the previous version. Well, at least not in the way some users are saying, when they say that 3.3 is much faster. I find it really hard to believe.
Even so, one thing I can tell you for sure, this build is the most stable so far, as I changed many things in the OEM part of the ROM to eliminate some issues.
Why build and release normal and light versions? I've already answered this before, but for the ones that still don't know, those that just got here, and for the lazy readers, I started with the normal version as my personal ROM, but eventually decided to share it with the rest of the trinity users. I made it to suit my needs, using applications I find to be useful, and that many of the users in the forums are also using. Cooking the applications into the ROM will ultimately save some space and increase ROM speed in opposition to installing everything yourselves.
Of course, there are always some users that don't use many of the apps I include in Normal version, some prefer more storage, and even others that install just a few apps, and the ones that want it naked!! So, I made the Light version. Even then, there are some users that are not satisfied, but hey, I can't make a personal ROM for every user...
My advice to every user here:
Read alot
Try as many ROMs as you can until you find the one that suits your needs.
Don't complaint about the missing features, there will probably be another ROM that has it.
If you like a particular ROM and you find a real issue or bug (sometimes, issues and bugs are caused by some other user installed applications), report it to the cooker, so it can be corrected if possible.
In the end, if you can't find the ROM for you, learn how to cook, that's what I did!!
I have yet much to learn, and always try to provide good support for my work, but I'm not perfect, neither are my ROMs, but I'm trying to make them better everytime.
Have you read the guides (http://trinityguides.info)?
tnyynt, no matter how many times you say it, and you can even SHOUT, there will always be people to lazy to read and learn how to do the procedures correctly. I don't even know why someone bothered to make a very complete thread with all the needed information for one to learn plenty about available ROMs, cab collections, how to flash, and so many other useful information.
And what about the tutorials and guides that very generous people took the trouble to make, to simplify other people's life. Let's tell them to throw them away???
And the WIKI??? A nice collection of information, ready to be used just a mouse click away...
Read, read some more, search, search some more, and finally ask! I promise you, that 90% of the times, you'll find the answer, without having to ask for it, or even writing a post or a new thread, and with it helping to keep the forums cleaner.

Hi!
I flashed some roms into my Trinity. Some was slow, some was unstable.
Finally, I found FInixNOver 3.3 normal. After, my face looks like a smiley---> :)
The rom was stable and very fast! Thanks for it!
I'm waiting for 3.4 and when its online, I downloaded and flashed it.
Hmm, not bad but I download the Light version. Wow, its great!
72MB free rom ~28MB free ram :D
I install some applications, what I want to use, and all of them works stable and fast! No bug, no freeze, just working fine. Thanks again!
After I installed all applications, 45MB free rom and ~26MB free ram. Its enough. I think, this is the final rom for my Trinity! (maybe not, if FInixNOver cook again a new rom :D)
(sorry for my english:rolleyes:)

I have yet much to learn, and always try to provide good support for my work, but I'm not perfect, neither are my ROMs, but I'm trying to make them better everytime.
tnyynt, no matter how many times you say it, and you can even SHOUT, there will always be people to lazy to read and learn how to do the procedures correctly.
As a matter of fact, there is always some lazy one.....for me, i don't even know how to cook a personal-use rom, but i did try as many roms as i could since i started playing around with my pocket pc.....
i am even using your WWE6.0 3.2L..............it's brilliant stabel and fast..
cool man

Just a quick note,
I was one of the people who felt the new build 3.4 is slower, and my trinity was crashing at least once a day. However, I checked my IPL and SPL, and realized I was running an old version. I have since upgraded my IPL and SPL to Olipro's Hard-SPL 1.30 found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299659 and the performance has really become super. The machine is faster and after 48 hours, not a single crash and my program memory is stil more than 20Mb.
I am no expert, but it really seems to make a difference.
Thank you FInixNOver for your great piece of work.
Best Regards,

That has nothing to do with improving performance.
Maybe the improving performance is due to your reflashing the ROM (this time properly maybe).

Hello everybody.
I allways recommend to do a Hard-Reset or Clear Storage after an instalation.
Remember, we don't have any Hard Disk in our Trinity, just a memory. And it's always dirty. We can't do a simple 'format'. I can explain many curiosities and anecdotes, but it's not place. Just do a HR and enjoy your Trinity (ROM)..
Warning: If you make a HR time after, you'll lose all your data. Be careful.
Best regards !!!

Hi,
i just tried this rom after a long time with a WM6 rom installed (Gelly Greek WM6). I must say I am very impressed with the speed and responsiveness. However I run into a deal-breaker. GPS navigation software Destinator (V7) does not work any more. I loads as usual and in the end it crashes taking with it the status bar on the top that it does not appear anymore. In fact the whole top area of the screen is crashed so no tapping anywhere there works. Only soft-reset seems to solve it.
Anyone has experience with this program or a similar type of crash?

When connected to WiFi, I tap the WiFi icon on the Start bar and normally a balloon appears. And on that balloon, usually, we get the AP name, the "Connected" status and the AP signal strenght. Now this signal strenght graphic I miss on my balloon. Is it just me or is it a WM6.1 thing? ...cause, to be honest, it's the first time I've noticed it since upgrading to WM6.1.

To fix missing HTC Random Access sidebar:
1. Open Contacts, go to menu, options, check "show alphabetical index";
2. Ok;
3. Close Contacts;
4. Open Contacts, go to menu, options, uncheck "show alphabetical index";
5. Ok;
6. Shut down (not soft reset);
7. Soft reset.
Cheers! ;)
Even with this fix ... the Sidebar comes and goes ... is this the case with u all or is it just me ;) ???

After that workaround, mine stayed for a few days with no problems untill I've decided to disable completely Random Access.

here it's around 60% random access 40% normal contacts !!
when i press the power 4 secs to shut down ... it asks me if it's ok ... do i agree or go directly to soft reset!

I hope you have some sort of HardSPL installed!
Do not touch anything, just start the utility again and it should work (except if you are running Vista, in this case try below).
...or you could try the safest way upgrade, through SD Card (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_SDCardFlashing).
off course i have flash an hardspl before flashing and i try to flah the rom again.
i hadn't any problem with elegance or lasagna, i really like this rom and i don't want to change it , what i have to do???

i have the exact same situation as yours. it's always good to know the signal strength so that we can switch around the available wifi networks. and no, i'm not connecting to activesync either.

I too am using Destinator with no problems. Check that you don't have too many application running in the background. If all else fail, try reflashing the ROM. BTW I'm using Black Normal.

Nice rom. Thanks.
After all it wasn't a bad flash. If you enable file system cache with Schap's Advanced Config, about 8MBs of program memory disappear.

Hi
Nice one, just one question.
I have Voice speed dial installed but with this rom when I press my headset button the application doesn't start. With any other roms it does.
Is it possible to make it work with this one?

Has anybody found a complete solution to the disappearing alphabetical index in contacts yet? I know you can go to "options" and uncheck "alphabetical index", but that only works for some time. Can this issue be fixed entirely?
Thanks
