I might have use for this application soon, but I'm wondering.

I have a unlimited data connection with Sprint and I don't want to be charged
at all for Phone as Modem or what ever its called.

So, my question is.... Can I make my laptop use the phone as a hotspot in the car and NOT be charged at ALL?

Thanks

Been thinking about the same thing lately, and I don't see why not. When you go to a website on your phone it downloads the same data as your computer would.

The only time when they would maybe start charging you is when you start downloading files. For browsing websites, I would say your fine. But do more research first.

I tried researching but too much spam.

i replied to ur thread on ppcgeeks but ill do it here too so everyone here can see it too:

yes u can, all u need to do are these three registry edits:

Go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WModem" key, and set the "CheckProfile", "Multi-NAI" and "WModemDUN" DWORDS to a decimal value of "0". Remember to soft reset for the changes to take effect.

enjoy,

I'm sorry I never replied regarding the success of this reg edit. The reason was because WMWifiRouter wasn't working correctly for me and then I simply forgot to tell you guys.
I am going on a trip soon and I'm wondering if this Reg Edit still makes the internet sharing in WMWifiRouter free even after the 6.1 updates and WmWifiRouter updates.

Thanks!!

(I know the mods are gonna get mad and delete/move this thread. Well... a certain mod deleted my new thread in Questions and Answers so I decided to reply to my old one to check if this still works.)
