HTC WM6.1 issue

Not sure how many other people had the same problems... So here goes.

I downloaded HTC's official WM 6.1 update for the TyTN II. The installation went flawlessly. No errors. And that's about when things stopped going right. There were two major issues after the update and they were so bad that I had to revert to 6.0.

1) The touchscreen would just stop responding. For several seconds or even a minute or two at a time. This is with no applications running in the background, on the home screen.

2) GPS. Where to start? Tried it with iGuidance, Tom Tom 6 and Route66 v7. They all lagged. The unit would track my position, but it would be about a kilometre or to behind my actual position. Or worse. Worse, actually, since it wouldn't catch up to my position unless I was actually stopped. Which got interesting when I was on a highway.

So yeah... WM 6.1 for TyTN II to be avoided in my opinion.

Obviously you didn't search the forums or you would find your answer. The lagging of your screen has been addressed in several posts. The GPS fixes are out there also.... so make sure you read the WIKI and do a search for these questions. I would post a thread but then that would be too easy for you....

Noob slap, eh? Thanks. Like I said, new. Still getting used to the site. I've been doing some digging since I posted the question, and found a few of the posts you mentioned. Like I said... Lots of good info.
