Hello,

I know there a ton of articles regarding the HTC WEATHER fix, but no matter what I do, I cannot connect to the server to download updates for my city or any city I choose.

I'm using a T-Mobile MDA, with WM 6.1 (TNT version) and I'm using the T Mobile $5.99 plan to access the internet. I'm able to browse the internet and use google mpas just fine. Anytime I click on internet or google maps, the phone says it' s connecting to GPRS (T zones ) and everything works, except the weather update.

I'm using the HTC home version 1.0 because whenver I install the newer versions, it will not show on the today screen, as if I never installed it. I tried un checking and recheckig HTC under settings, soft setting the wizard and still nothing. So I'm using the 1.xxx version of HTC Home.

I've tried installing proxy patches, even went into the registry and edited the proxy and proxy type, like it says in some other articles and still nothing.

The HTC weather will update if I have the phone plugged in via Active Sync, but cannot find the serfer via the t zones
I've tried several things and spent days trying to figure this out.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm willing to try them and I will let you know f I already did try them as well

As far as I know, the Weather panel will not work with T-zone but full Total internet. Try to use SPB Mobile shell 2, I like this program the most and weather panel will work with t-zone.

I'm in the same boat as you.

Does anyone know if there is a hack out for HTC home weather that simply changes how it pulls the weather data so that it could be used with t-zones?

I've used the SPB before and it worked well. I just reinstalled it and it downloads fine. I think I was getting wrapped up in the challange of making it works vs. actually getting the weather forecast. I'm going to take your advice and just use the SPB. Thanks for making me come my senses.
