Firstly should this skin be separate from the SPB program? I thought it would skin the SPB program somehow.!
First: Which SPB program? Phone suite is only used to change to loudnes of your phone.
Second: It is a theme for the tool "XIAMultiTheme".


Home- Resets the background on soft reset.
Until know there is no solution for it.


Programs- Of the nine tiles, the calculator and note pad work.

People- The up and down arrow don't take me to different people and there are just colorful default pictures along the right side of the screen. When I press the center picture it takes me to "Add contact name/ number input page.
What is the problem? Add your contact informations and use it in the future.

By Spb I meant the shell.(I don't have the spb phone suite.) Actually I thought this program would skin the Spb shell. At the moment only my htc page is influenced by the install. I did a hard reset of my phone before applying the skin so, at the moment my SPB shell is just the ordinary shell.

The tool you refer to is what makes it possible to view albums and contacts without opening other programs, right? I guess your saying it has nothing to so with and won't have any effect on the
spb shell?

People-Yesterday I was fiddling with this after stumbling onto a post that described my issue. I found the directory on my phone. My problem was where to go from there once I found the directory. Is it just a matter of placing my contact pics (from my pictures folder) in this folder along with the colorful default pics?

P.S. There's a popular manila shell the appears to give you various options to skin the SPB shell. Examples of these options are carousel A, carousel b and so on. Each basically varies by what tab directs you to what or how many contact pages are available to you and also what clock appears. It all depends on your preference on what you'd like to see tweaked I guess.

But I think I'll deactivate this tab I don't want to pay fortune (for gprs transmision) to my mobile provider ;)

LOL I hear you. I'm feeling around in the dark at the moment. Reading post but somethings aren't quite clear to me.

Contact pics- I delete the default ones in that folder and replace them with my own. Once I place my pictures in the folder what do I rename my pics? And I can simply edit them there on the spot, right?

Weather- I was reading up on the weather and still no luck:( While nulll appearing on the screen is not an issue, the actual icons for weather (clouds, sun, rain) do not appear at all-nor does the actual temp. As far as i know weather only updates when you hit refresh button.( i'm not really sure i update when connected to wifi)

To get the comm working you might have to check if your registry settings are the same as the ones used by the theme.

About new features you propose you should ask chriscsh if he can make that happen in a new release maybe ( i did not create this theme chriscsh did all the work i just converted it to vga).

Contact pics- Once I place my pictures in the folder what do I rename my pics?
The problem is that the script expect that the contact pictures are all in the directory "contactpic" and have the names "1.png", "2.png", "3.png" and so forth. Therefore you must rename your pictures which normaly not have this filenames. And: they must be in the PNG format!

Weather-
How do I access the weather?
a) press on the location (town) at the bottom. After it (normally ;-) a dialog pops up where you can add your locationcode. To find out the code go to "http://weather.yahoo.com". Enter your City (and Land) in the field "Enter city or zip code:" and press RETURN. After it a page with the weather of your town was loaded. In the URL is now your locationcode:
"http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/XXXX.html"

And like Gentox write: press the update button and wait some seconds (after you have access to the internet).

Okay, here is a simple german version. Simple because I didn't translate the texts in the images. I also correct some errors in the code and change the order of the pages.

Unpack the script in the ZIP file in your manila theme directory. Restart the theme.

I solved the problem in the communications tab....the phone switch that disappears...i checked the registry keys and I noticed that the values were different relating to connections type:
My registry key (HKLM\System\State\Phone\Cellular System Available) on hermes rom 6.1:

Phone On value is 8
H value is 64 or 17 (if 3G active)
E value is 9
3G value is 16

So I copied the "green switch icon" inside my "phone" folder and I renamed the files to all the values found (64.png 17.png and so on)!:)

i think... the only guarantee is the 0.. the off value!:D

Hi i use this theme to get the bars black.

Unpack the file and copy DiamondBlack.tsk to your windows folder.

Now you can change the theme you use in your today settings.

Ok here is the modified files for the Samsung I780 Download and install all files as per orignal instructions on first page of this post. Then unzip this file and copy all contents to your XIAMultiTheme\Themes\Black folder

Hope you enjoy.

There are still a couple of known bugs unresolved so install at your own risk.

Still unresolved: Data indicator will not terminate a data connection when clicking on the idicator. (You can tap on the Data icon to the left and close from the Data Manager)

Appointments and read sms will not clear until soft reset.

Yes, I was figuring out on how to overwrite the counter. It seems that for that portion, the screen is not refreshed, like it was stuck at the background.

Tried to figure out what was wrong, but eventually given up hope in finding a solution.

U can install thumbcal in main memory or sd card, but if u want to use the oem calendar all u have to do is to navigate to program files/xiamultitheme/themes/manila black/link n the calendar link in dat folder would be replaced by the oem calendar link in ur windows directory.

I've tried the theme, everything is fine except that I have a Hermes, and I gest this sticky bottom bar on the today screen, with a battery and communication manager icons/shortcuts... I've tried getting rid of it, but no way (startup folder, plugins...). Anybody faced this problem and sovled it?

on my phone you say RENAME the XMT to
XIAMultiTheme and copy it to main memory but what one is the XMT file when i unzip it has three file
in XIAMultiTheme folder that say XMT so what one do change ?

1st is XMT Autorun_Services.exe

2nd is XMT OnPoweron.exe

3rd is XMT UserConfWrite.exe

I was wondering if anyone with a bit more skill than me has been able to extract the seperate themes from the cabs. I am currently using a slightly tweaked version of the Rumball Ultimate Launcher theme but I would like to incorporate the Home and maybe the Program tabs from this theme. Of course they are all in cabs though so I wondered if anyone knew how to do this?

I intend to include the alarm time next to "Alarm on", I know the alarm time is in HKCU\System\State\Shell\Alarms\Next. But the time is in Binary (e.g. 004A63161EF9C801), anybody know how to get the normal time(6.15am).

Have you tried the update button.The first time you update, you will be asked to input your location code.(ie. CHXX0049). I'm a NOOB also but did a lot of reading.

You need to rename the Directory folder to Program Files/XIAMultitheme in your PPC (remove the Nightley-build) and try again. Also your PPC need to use QVGA version download at http://asapload.com/124775. Good Luck.

search your location at yahoo weather, then check the address, it have show the location code :)

MODIFICATION: It is really a windows machine , I should have known.. I rebooted my HTC Wizard and and now the small icons are created :-)

PS: I have played with Throttle Launcher, SPBshell and Greatball Manilla Skin and Rumbells Diamon Skin but this one based on XIAMultiTheme is by far the best and most similar to the real Manilla Diamond Interface, A superb piece of work All credits to Chriscsh

Call me crazy, but when i opened up xmt in program files, there wasnt a config exe. I opended up my winrar and extracted the config to xmt and completed the steps, but when i go to settings>personal>today>items there is no xmt 1, 2,3 or 4. Almost there!:eek:

Got 100% THIS MORNING and now this evening it's down to 50%, and i have made ONE call for about 5 mins today...

When i try to make a call with the only contact i have managed to insert i get a window saying:

And when i look inside the Themes folder above i cant find the MarBlack folder.

And a countdown 5.4.3.2.1... sort of...


And when i'm trying to edit a contact i get the number edit screen and then it automatically makes the call and the edit screen disapears.

And mostly when i try to edit a contact i get:

I've tried to solve this shitty calling problem for a couple of days now without ANY what so ever luck! Soon i give up and go back to the Greatbal Diamond theme. That one works!! And much more easy to handle....

So pissed of at this now, i must blow of some steam! :)

First and foremost EVERYTHING HAS TO BE INSTALLED ON THE PHONE MEMORY NOT STORAGE CARD

Extract the XIAMultiTheme-Nightly_build.rar and copy the whole EXTRACTED Folder to \Program files folder on your phone memory.
You will see that the folder is named somthing like XIAMultiTheme_20080630_rev2...Rename it to XIAMultiTheme


Also copy the 2 font files in \Program Files\XIAMultiTheme\themes\Manila-Black\Font to the \Windows folder

Install all the following to your phone memory:
MortScript
Oxios Hibernate
S2P
VJVolubilis
SPB Phone suite

Where a program asks to reboot ...REBOOT



Once everything is installed:

Open File Explorer and go to My Device \ Program Files \ XIAMultiTheme
Click on XIAMultiThemeConfiguration.exe

Then do the following steps:

1. Click on Theme Tag -- select- Manila-Task, click Apply this theme for default
2. Click on Today Tag -- Select Manila-Black at XIAMultiTheme4 and click Apply these themes
3. Click on Start Menu Tag -- click "Refresh Start Menu XMT Links"
4. Click on Install Tag -- click "Install Today Plugin"

Once all that is done goto Start...Setting...Today and click on items deselect evertyhing, and SELECT ONLY "XIAMultiTheme4"

This should get you up and going

MUST ask someone about the reg post for this theme:

The HKCU that is mentioned in the install for the theme is the main regkey = HKEY_CURRENT_USER right?

If it is (and i'm sure it is) i realy can't understand what is going on...

The problem is likewise when i use the Music page, here is what i get when playing something:

Invalid main key

Delete your cover.jpg from all your music/albumname/files - you don't need it anymore..

I've done that, but the ONLY Album art that shows up is one with embeded cover art. Then i refuses to get any album covers...

Where does it takes this cover art from? The internet or what?

and the problem is XIAMultiTheme haven't update a long time
so still some bug on it.
