Just flashed it - seems faaaast so far. Had a bit of a surprise when it wouldn't connect to AT&T here in the US. Went into phone settings, and the bands are all setup for Europe (no 850MHz GSM). I set it to auto, and then it found the network ok.

I encountered the same problem, so what i did is go to bootloader mode and flash it.. success...rom is fast.

One question how do i disable sim contacts from showing in my contacts? i tried advance config, sktools nothing works.

It's got a great 3G dialer BUT unfortunately the 3G video function doesn't work, well not here in the UK anyway.

Dvha79_ddt - Is there anyway you would consider NOT using icontacts 071? Its a newer bloated version that isn't the same as before. Which basically defeats the whole purpose of the app which was suppose to be a simple contatcs to make a phone call real quick. Now its just turning into another version of pocketcm..

Its also much slower even just using the ABC function..thanks for the great ROM's..

Hopefully I can install icontacts 6 on top of the newer one..

flashed this rom an hour ago. it's fast, but Tyr0 rom based on 19213 is way faster than this one.
the only problem so far is the MMS. when I try to open any MMS message the phone hangs, and I have to make a soft reset.

I keep testing... but so far, I would combine Tyr0 rom with the Diamond design (dialer, commanager, HTC Home).

MMS problem solved by reinstalling Arcsoft MMS client. so far so good. :)

I have big problems with exchange push mail!!
The previous roms from PDAVIET_DVH did a very good job. But this one goes to sleep en never wakeup when I configured pushmail with my exchange server!

Does anyone know if there is a setting that I can change... I have read a long time ago that the bug is caused by a wrong powermanagement!???

Unless I've misunderstood, there have been two different ROMs posted in this thread...

The one in the first post is by PhamQuang and is a lot less clean than the dvha79_ddt ROMs previously posted in the forum (19213 etc...). Having said that, it does have some nice looking HTC diamond apps in there. I flashed it this morning and haven't had any trouble so far.

There is also a ROM posted in post #27 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2262913&postcount=27 ) by Abid885 which seems to have been cooked by dvha79_ddt.
This one is probably the one people were expecting as it is a clean os build in the style of the other recent PDAViet roms.

Is this the Rom people were having problems with the Push mail notifications during sleep mode? (Definitely need that to work) Or was it the original Rom as posted at the beginning?

As for myself, neither ROM gave me push mail problems, which was suprising as PhamQuang's has the new Diamond COMM Manager which, by itself, killed my push mail in the last few ROM's I've been running. This includes no problems when the device goes to sleep. I've been running PhamQuang's all day and am going back to the cleaner ROM as this one seems laggy to me and also my dialer's not working as usual...

Using the full (diamond) rom, I get lockups and hard resets when I'm installing programs on it (the same programs as I used to install on other PDAVIET roms).

Using the black clean rom, I've had no problems yet.

PS: I've never installed any BigStorage roms, so that can not be the source of the problems with the full rom.

Loaded the PDAVIET ROM and it still has the problem where is my phone is locked I can still click button 5 and get voice command to launch. It should not do this only the power button should work..

Oh and the comm manager is coming up when doing txt msgs's again..

For some weird reason this rom is having trouble every time i try to change anything on the home screen. (plugin order, Installing new plugin, removing plugins,) PhamQuang's rom seems a little more stable this time around.. :)

I've got an odd thing on this ROM - if it turns off on it's own (1 minute timer to sleep), and then you turn it back on, the screen flickers on and then turns off again. You have to then turn it on again to make it work. If you manually put it back into standby, it works fine as expected.

I have the same issue, plus it disconnects me from the cell network and i cannot connect unless i reset the phone or go into airplane mode and then back.

I still have problems with the battery drain, I have 3g off, no wifi, no bt and as soon as I pull the phone off the charger it goes straight to 95% even with a full nights charge, is this normal?

If you've got the ROM version with the 1% battery increments, then going instantly to 95% is what my phone did too. I'm using the other PDAviet 19588 ROM now, with the old 10% increments, and it doesn't do that.

Hi

Have tried many, many roms the last 6 months (at least 50).
My first goal is speed, as the Hermes is rather slow with a standard rom.
The really difference is PDAviet-roms. All of these I have tried is significantly faster and more stable than any others I have tried, and this also includes the other rom in this thread.

What do you mean? Even if this ROM is quite unstable it won't brick your phone... At least it hasn't bicked mine...

Hehe I meant to say that if there's something I want to communicate back to the chef (kudos, bug, questions, etc.) I have no way of doing it due to my lack of skill in the language. It's good that people can benefit from it or use the rom as base for cooking and share it here maybe.

PS: btw looking at the screenshots, is the ROM itself fully WWE?

Run the Connection Setup exe file directly from the Windows directory. It won't run from the Settings menu for some reason. I don't use the Network Wizard, but you might want to try just running the executable directly for that too.

Hey thanks for the tip. I ran the NetWork Wizard exe file from the Windows folder and it worked. I created a shortcut in the Start Menu for easy access.

Not that I care much, but anybody knows how to make it run from the Settings Menu?
