ok i just got a vpa compact 3, with herms 200.

its running wm6.1 custom, in the setting/system/connections tabi have an externat gps settings, when entering that i have the elusive com 9, can someone explain how i can configure this to be used with tomtom 6, as i also have this program.

G'day, when you 1st start tomtom it will take you through a setup prcedure. Miles or kilometres, time, etc.... It will also ask what type of gps receiver to use and after selecting you can choose what com port....

BUT first... I find it easier if you go to com manager (afte 1st disabling external GPS settings) and pairing gps receiver manually, then after it pairs, tick serial port. Go to comm ports (at bottom of bluetooth menu) and create a new one. It should list your GPS receiver.. Pick whatever com port you wish (please note that com 3 is "unavailable"). I use com port 4 with a lot of success.
