Wm6 Rom

I have done everything to flash my T-mobile MDA to run WM6. But no luck. I have run all of the roms discussed on here. Downgraded and upgraded and still running Wm5. Which is fine, but I'd much rather run wm6 or 6.1. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I also have read all the discussions on here, but I seem not to understand how to upgrade. Is there a physical link to WM6. Any suggestions would be very greatful.

I, myself, am rather new at this also....but I think I may be able to help. I recently unlocked and flashed my TMO MDA (G3), and also an AT&T/Cing 8125 (G4) for my son, with complete success. And to be honest, the MDA-G3 was a bit more tricky. The best advice that I can give is to follow the two threads below. Best o print out a set of them to refer to when you're in the process. At some point, you'll jump from one set of instructions, to the other. Follow the instructions to the letter, and reFlash with the Button ROM if necessary, as instructed in the 2nd thread. In the "The Definitive Guide to Unlocking & Rom Upgrading G3 Wizards", pay special attention to Steps 16 and 17. Above everything else.....Be Patient, and don't unplug or restart anything unless you're instructed to do so. It took me a few times to get it right with the MDA, but it does work. Download WST_4.2.2 tool and check the phone version and CID lock/unlock status by hitting the 'CID Action' button,post the result here.Then CID unlock the phone accordingly,if its a G3 follow this guide at xda-wiki,but if its a G4,it can only be upgraded with either SoftSPL or HardSPL,you can read about it in the G4 forum posted as Stickies or in this guide :-
