Nice and quick, Shame that the Diamond Keyboard is included, this means no hardware keyboard!!

This is a Touch Dual, we buy it for a hardware keyboard, All these roms coming without support for it are annoying.

Will continue to test, but won't be keeping the rom for long, no hardware keyboard.

For me the Normal keyboard, Touch Keyboard and Touch Keypad don't work, they only input numbers ie, 123456, they do not input text at all.

Many thanks for your work. I've just installed v 0.3 and I do confirm, the xT9 isn't enabled and therefore the HW keyboard only gives numbers as an input. Any clue on how to enable/activate xT9? This would solve the reported issues I guess... I do use a 16 Keys Nike.

I've just flashed v0.3.1 and I also have to say that on my 16keys Niki, only numbers are displayed and no letters typing on the HW keyboard :( I'm ready to try any kind of suggestions as this ROM seems really good... BTW, I had severals slow downs, nearly hangs on v0.3 today... only Phone and SMS application running... strange tough... let's see the behaviour with the 0.3.1.

Any idea how to fix the HW keyboard issue :?

Thanks HelloNaStY :) Why don't you try to build up a ROM without the Diamond Keyboards, as it seems it may be the cause of the problem?

The rest of the ROM seems good to me... have still a strange behaviour: after a soft-reset, it lasts minutes before I'm able to enter the SIM pin code... don't know why!? Anyway... Still testing.

Looking forward for your HW Keyboard solution :)

Hi, I wanted to say thanks for the rom, and I got a question: one of the cool features of the HTC Home screen is the "Favorite People" tab which is enabled in the HTC settings menu but it doesnt show up here in this rom, is it a bug?

The only way to get it back on is to pop the cover and soft reset the device.

I am not sure. Everything else seems to be working fine. I'm going to flash the Tom's Niki Project v1 back on to see if it still happens. I kind of don't think so because I can turn the screen on/off with the power button and it's fine. It just happens when the devices goes to sleep on its own.

This occurs most of the times. I've reflashed and tested again and still the same behaviour :-( So it seems to be a Bug with the MMS application....

i THINK i resolved this issue. i hard reset and then reinstalled the newest version of S2U2 and things seem to be better. i'm still configuring my phone so won't know for a bit. i usually like to run with a ROM for 4-5 days before declaring whether it's working or not.

since i reinstalled S2U2, i haven't had problems. knock wood!

OK I've patched the ROM to 16MB Page pool and flash it to run some tests... let's see if it changes something with my MMS hangs...

EDIT: After reflashed with 16MBPPsize, no changes to the MMS hangs... Well :-( No changes for me, the MMS application hangs after a soft/Hard reset or new installation... I've noticed that if I wait for 1 night, the next day it work tough... weird!? Any clue what could it be?

yesterday I flashed the 0.32 and today the touch keyboard soft and hard is not working anymore it's showing me only numbers .I has mms application bug ...

I had an issue today the phone just started vibrating in my pocket, so I pulled it out thinking it was an alarm set or the phone was ringing and sound had failed.... but it was just a fault with the rom. I have tried lots of roms including both Toms roms and I have never had this problem before.

Also I used a link from email three times today (3 separate emails) to open a web page and 2 out of the three times the phone jammed, had to removed the battery to reset.

This rom seem quiet fast but I have never had so many issue in such a short period of time.

Not complaining, just reporting faults that I have found so they can be fixed, if possible. Keep up the great work, I love using new roms, there is nothing more boring than sticking with the original rom, even if it is stable, it great to having something new and interesting.

Thanks for the pointer, but these all had the total crash type of freeze, i.e. a remove the battery job.

I'll track down the page pool editor though and see if it helps.

@Hellonasty - thanks for the great ROM. It's fast and stable, just like you said.

Here are a few things that I've found having played with it for a few days:

1. My PIE and NetFront browsers seem to lock up my phone about half the time I try to get to a webpage.

2. I used the auto config feature to configure my data and MMS connection settings. It created one called "T-Mobile Data". Now I can't see that setting in my connection settings at all, but when I connect to the internet, that's the one it's using. Very strange. I actually saw a new connection setting that I never created show up. I removed that one and added a new one called "T-Mobile Web". Now when I connect, it still uses the original "T-Mobile Data".

3. I get an error 608 when I launch ActiveSync. Soft reset doesn't fix it. any ideas what I can do to get rid of this??

In Mary v0.3.2, to keep music playing while the screen is locked using the power button, I went to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences], which was empty, and added a new Dword value using the inlcuded regedit program. The name is "UnattendedPlayback" (without the quotes) and the value is 1. Soft reset and enjoy the music.

After installing all apps and data, I'm impressed, it's damn fast and stable, nomore hangs, non with MMS and and none with the Phone as I had previously.... I'll test more tomorrow but go for it :) None of my previous bugs are in this last build! Great job HelloNaStY!!!

First time i flashed a ROM (had a bit of difficulties with the HardSPL thing, but worked it out). Flashing went fine, but the TouchFlo doesnt work. It only prints the Contacts page fine (same look as original Touch Dual), no animations at all, and the rest of the pages only print the text, and dont even clear the screen.

Ok, I reported the first night I installed this ROM that my phone would turn itself off (the screen, but the green light still flashing) and not wake up when I pressed the power button until I soft reset by removing the battery cover and poking the hole.

Now, two days later, it's happening again! Whenever my phone goes to sleep, it never wakes up again.

The only thing that I did last night was to install the new arcsft version and add a few clock fonts to HHC Home Customizer so I can get a different clock.

Is anyone else seeing this power off issue? It's very annoying for me. I may have to reflash a different ROM.

Update - ok, this is also creeping me out because now my profile will change from audible to vibrate randomly.

I read that someone else using the US Niki Stock ROM that has been ported for us is also experiencing the "black screen of death" issue. I'm wondering if it's a WM6.1 issue??

Whatever it is, I am going to reflash my phone tonight with another ROM and see if it corrects the issue.

In a WM scenario the XIP is used to load the kernel and critical drivers just before the main OS boots and controls these throughout the running of the OS.

Because this ROM and that ROM use his XIP (or a Port that is based on it). Ask the cooks to use a different (base) XIP as its a fairly complex job.

because he produced his new hacked XIP after his v1 ROM, if you add the affected XIP to v1 you experience the same problems - trust me i tried :P

bugger, thats thrown a spanner in the works! So now we have to figure out what is the same in his XIP and Toms XIP as i have proven and had confirmed by people that changing to an older XIP fixes the problems.

but i downloaded the rom wm6.1 mary, and when i launch wlm, the pda reboot, and it's the same thing when i want to create an accounte to receive my mails on my htc :(

Would this XIP issue also cause the phone to act flakey? Here are some things I've been experiencing today:

1. Phone always set to vibrate after a reboot, no matter what profile it is set to.

2. When I click on notifications, the bubble pops up and goes away so i have no way to dismiss it.

3. Surfing on the web only works about 50% of the time.

4. When I go to Messaging, it always opens my personal account even though I have the box checked to go to the account picker.

5. Viewing missed call caused my phone to lock up.

I think my phone is dying a slow death :)

I'd like the default cache for IE, mail, and temp to be back on internal storage too. I noticed this when I inserted by storage card AFTER setting up mail sync. Now I have all my cache stuff stored in a folder in internal storage called "storage card" and an SD card mounted as "Storage Card2".

It's great job, but I've 2 problems in this release:
1st: I'm not able absolving a data (Internet) connection via bluetooth dial up connection with my Nokia E90. (E.g. with the Orange UK ROM (WM6.0) this problem is missing.) The bt pairing with E90 is ok, the Touch can see the E90's DUN service, but when I try to connect,the message is: "Cannot connect for an unknown reason..."
2nd: From the "Call History" srceen the Touch is not able to switch to the Today screen by the End (red) button. The screen is freezed at this time. If I touch the OK button on the right-up of screen, then the switching is ok.

and going back to bugs before, i always got freezing when opening/clsoing dialpad, bug?

Yu need to check T9 in the ROM setting in Programs -> Applications -> Romsettings

Gosh.. when I use this ROm, and then revert back to Tom's v1 ROm, the start screen "smart mobillity" and the "hellonasty" Rom version screen is still there!!!

edit: solved by flashing to factory rom before moving on to any other cooked roms.

Verision 0.3.3 solved my keypad issue (16 key) and the languages are 1.english 2.french 3.german 4.italian 5.spanish for XT9

I try installing this ROM, i make a USB conenction and ActiveSync is fine so i run the ROM utility

After the 3 colours screen it goes grey on 0% stays like that then the host PC side fails and the system recovers fine
