After testing I found the following problems:
- Diamond Keyboard does not work anymore when changing key options to German.
- When changing to normal keyboard, the auto correct function is not working.
- standard ringtone is not working (no sound). changing to another ringtone works.

I now use the ShadoW 2.1TE ROM, which is also very fast.

hello.. i my old rom was shadow 2.1.. and i liked a lot.. but i gaved a try to this one and flashed it to my elfin, for first impressions.. i loved the welcome screen lol ;)
The rom is quite good, fast and stable so far... after instalation this is the memory settings screen:

In programs ( i must say its very tidy and organized.. my compliments to the chief..lol ) , new folders icons.. cool ones..with 9 choices..
1 folder with the default explorer and Total comander..
1 folder with the default htc games
1 folder with the default media
1 folder for office with a new calculator
1 folder for settings with:
active sync, Bluettooth explorer, comm.., Oxios close apps, oxios hibernate, a new reg editor, search, and task manager..
---And other folder with the same name with:
Advanced config, modem link, pim backup, s2u2, SAP settings, and syncrotime
Back to the 9...
1 folder for web : internet explorer and sharing..
1 app called iContack.. ( i don't use it..but looks cool..)
1 app for reset mobile...( we never know.. lol)

So.. i just make a brief of it.. and now i'm gonna test it for a while..

But a couple of things I have noticed.

1. When in contacts and then go menu, tap on Sim Manager, nothing happens, any ideas ?

2. te WiFi keeps turning on with out any input from me.

This morning I installed this ROM, and it works.
I was working with the ShadoW 2.1TE ROM, and it feels like ShadoW is still running faster and more stable than this ROM.
I had a few crashes already......
The OS version is the same, 5.2.19199, not the newest one.

The Diamond Keyboards are not working stable, sometimes a part of the keyboard is appearing black, and when pressing a key, you'll get different letters, so I turned back to the old standard keyboard.

I will test it more, and put in here the results....

Update: The standard T-Mobile Internet settings are not okay, I had to set it up myself, not so good !!
I hope there is a better version coming out soon....

Because the "&" is also used in programming as a symbol to make the next letter in a menu a keyboard shortcut. E.g. when you see "_F_ile" in your menu bar, this may be created by a menu entry "&File". It is obviously misinterpreted as this instead as a part of the provider name in your case.

what u can do is install EnableRapi.cab and Cert_SPCS.cab again and make a soft rest. THEN, press the power button, off ur phone. YES OFF! and then take out ur battery and leave it for arnd 1 minute and then ON and try. why?

cos u remember, that USPL writes to the virtual memory. yeah! and virtual memory makes the bootloader process stuck with the linux penguin as u said. and i have also got this 2-3 times. so once u take the battery out, the virtual ram contents is erased. and now u can continue with a fresh bootloading

I was surprised to see how nice this ROM was. I had been set on using one of the PDAMobiz or PDAViet versions because of the speed and included apps, but this version works very well. Speed is very similar to the fastest ROMs I have used (with apps). I like how the program menu folders are set up - different icons and very clean.

One thing to note is the screenshots in post 1 are not of the WWE version. The calculator is different (not iPhone look and German menu key), I don't see set volume in this version and it does not have PS Shut. No big deal, but don't flash based on the screenshots.

First I got the ROM corrupt message, after installing Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab and run the start.bat (from another thread), WWE now installs fine.

Doing Device Information gives some older ROM date though:

1) Assuming you are talking about the picture with the volume meter, that is SetVolume. As I indicated in my post above, it does not seem to be in the WWE version. Do a search and you can install it. V3 is the latest.
2) The "nice" file is Welcomhead.96.png in the windows directory. Replace it with a 240X320 png image of your choice.
3) I installed the latest version of S2U2 and was able to delete the version on the ROM - programme folder.
4) The WWE version does not have opera. I installed opera 9.5 build 781 on the SD card and it works great with this ROM. This ROM is only the base OEM, very few of the actual (VGA) diamond files are present. Look at the thread in the dev. section called Diamond OEM Files. That will give you an idea of what apps can be used on QVGA (Elfin) devices.

With this rom and also with the Merlot Roms I have the problem, that I cannot sync 2 PC (Xp) with the Phone.

1st PC --> ok
2nd PC --> ok
after the 2nd sync with the
1st PC --> I can wait for a half day - so sync.

Argh! Ok 3% fail is beating me

2. I've ran both Enable_Rapi and Cert_SPCS, then soft rebooted
3. Then Powered off, left battery out(as suggested)
4. ran the ROM update but always error 270 at 3%

I am running on XP into a direct USB (Not through Hub)

Any other suggestions? I installed Shadow 2.1 previous without issue!

***UPDATE*** I restarted the computer and ran everything again - and it's working! So another hint for those having problems - restart the computer!!!

Contacts and agenda are not stored in ROM.
Nothing can be stored in ROM.
So when you dump you dump the rom the way it was when you first turned on the phone.

2. What does the iContact do? I mean it shows the contacts...fine...but then...as I see it, it should work whenever I push the Contacts as a default aplication...

all sorted - i think i must have done a soft reset before it had finished configuring itself the first time. re-flashed the rom & all is present & correct. most impressed with this rom so far :)

Also, It would be good if the first post could be edited to say what is and isn't on it - I use the 3d cube a lot, and it is not there!

nice rom! there are few minor bugs! "x" for closing progs appears on drop down of taskbar. 2 icons over each other. is it generally the letter recognizer so bad in wm6.1? on my orginal wm6, it was very nice and easy. it could recognize the whole word(s).

I was referring to WWE version. It just locks up, no respond at all. I have to softreset couple times. I reflashed it again but still same problem, it just locks up after a period of use. I change it back to Shadow 2.1, no more locks up. Also there's a problem with the comm manager, see my post #127.

Hi.

Just flashed this nice ROM to my new Touch. Looks very good, but have an issue with the ringtone - can't change it. If I change it under "Sounds & Benachricht." it is always set back to the standard "Ring-WindowsMo".

In case of that I try to change it via Explorer menu "Als Klingetone verwenden" I get the error message that there was an error to copy to \My Documents\Klingeltöne\
Same issue with the MICRO Version. The WWE Version works fine concerning this issue.

Any idea what is wrong here?
