Recently I posted about my 7501 not having any Bluetooth audio. Two trips to HTC finally got that fixed. Now I have the reverse problem. I only have Bluetooth audio. Nothing from the speakers. This started intermittently at first & now there's nothing. I use Bluetooth a lot & it acts as if it's just not switching the speakers back on after I've used bluetooth. I've tried turning the mute/unmute on & off numerous times as well as doing the same with the bluetooth, plus several soft resets & battery removal & reinstalls, nothing. Any ideas? I really don't want to send it off again for repairs or even do a hard reset if possible......Thanks.

this happened to me like last year. however, i didn't have the previous troubles you had. what happened was my unit was bonded to my headset. a call came through and the next thing you know all the sounds were being streamed to the headset only. after unbonding, deleting the connection, resets, removing the battery, etc....nothing changed. i had to do a hard reset...that worked but after like 3 calls all the sounds would stream back to the headset only. the speakers refused to work.
i don't know if this fix is applicable for you. what rom version are you using? is it the original? what i did was upgraded my rom to aku3. my unit was using the original rom when the problem happened. i was reading a lot on the aku3 rom but was hesitant to upgrade. let's face it, everyone who upgrades is always in danger of bricking their units. but in my case, i had nothing to lose....if upgrading my unit did brick it...then i wouldn't feel as bad given the problems i had regarding the bt / non-working speakers.
thankfully the upgrade proved to be successful and it certainly fixed the issue i had. to date i've had no other problems ever since i upgraded to aku3....which is another reason why i'm now hesitant to upgrade to the 4.0 rom. my unit's functioning in tip-top shape and i don't really see the need for the upgrade.
for you, if your unit is on warranty then i would suggest that you send it back to the shop. if all else fails, then perhaps you may start considering the rom upgrade. a friend of mine had the same issue and he mentioned that the feedback from the shop was that his rom was corrupted. thus, he did the upgrade as well and that fixed the problem.

In the Universal thread, I've come across that problem of yours. The solution was plugging in a wired headset or headphones, then just unplugged it again. This usually brings back the sound to the speakers. I believe the problem lies in the headphone jack and had to be replaced. I don't know if it is similar to what you are experiencing, but it won't hurt to try.
Good luck.
