Zubi, I can confirm that I cannot check my power either. I have also found out that the bluetooth drivers aren't installed for the wing either. Eh, but I just noticed that its for p4350.......:o

Got into the wizard to get everything up and running, the thing started the customization, finished it succesfully.

After a reboot im stuck at entering the pincode, sometimes i make it past this but then im stuck watching a blue screen, the background inflated.

This does not work. I even reinstalled bs and still did not work on my wing. I installed X_Button_working.CAB and that fixed the x button. I cant find large start menu icon to turn off large start menu. I use quickmenu and and large start menu has to be turned off. Do you know reg setting is. Thanx

I've already been there, i've deselected "show plugin on Today-screen" and then reselected it, i've taken it off the today menu, and re added it, it just won't show up, plus I forgot to mention that when i get an incoming call, it's all in norwegian.

It's just a standard US keyboard. I've moved off the Beta ROM for now. I'll try it again once itje releases another version.

Bugs Found:
1) Language for incoming call doesn't look english.
2) Pressing @ sometimes return a dictionary and the pda reads "9" instead of @. (May be some feature i need to turn off, any advise?)
3) Accept and Ignore button doesn't appear when call comes in.
4) Battery status options seems to be accessible via only the today screen.

For batterystatus option check the regvalue hklm\software\microsoft\today\items\batterystatus\ type=5

if that is enabled (5)... BS will stay allways at top of todayitems - BUT you cannot get to options by start-settigns-today-options


change it to Type=4 - then you can place BS anywhere AND options will work!

I don't know if anybody has reported already this issue, but when trying to use the calculator, an error message pops up: "The file MobileCalculator cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restore this file."

If you tap the screen while viewing a photo in HTCAlbum, and then click the "i" balloon, and then hit "OK" it will enable gestures. This has worked for me.

Seems to work just swell for me. It just moans a bit about 'cprog.exe' not being a valid application on startup. I guess I'll remove it from the startup folder, no major issue.
So I guess this cprog.exe isn't in the startup shortcut folder. Uhm.. hints? :P
Seems a power off and on has fixed it (for now, anyways). No more cprog.exe warnings and an instant good signal.
cprog.exe error will - in my case - always occur when booting the phone while it's attached to USB Activesync.

Finding a network signal took a while and I couldn't access text messages while it was searching - all better now and working. Think it might have something to do with that cprog thing, google tells me it has to do with the dialing part of the phone.

Hardware keyboard has the problems we've learned to live with; mismatching most symbols (on my Dutch P4350). Easy to patch up with one of the available keyboard fixes.
Installed Duprade's keyboard fix. Works 'for the most part'. The % key will popup a 5 (and a new black 'add word' bar something to do with the software keyboard perhaps?), the # key will do a space. & becomes a 7 and * will do nothing at all. Also the spacebar will not work to create ë or é etc. Far from ideal, but I guess I'll live with it.

Software keyboard seems useful, a tad small perhaps.. time for a VGA screen :D

Yet to find other gripes. For the most part: a slick ROM indeed. Thank you!

Not sure if its just the Beta or maybe something else but I can't turn off the "Big Start Menu" I personally don't like it. (I wear glasses 24/7 so I don't have a problem seeing my screen)

Also, The calculator doesn't work, but you have the icon there. I got it working by installing a cab file. Just weird that the icon was there. That could be because of the 0409 folder issue thou.

Other than that a great ROM. Can't wait for a full release.

I don't think I can disable the start menu either.. uhm.. oh heck I don't want to either, it's easier to control with my fingers like this ;)

ALSO: I haven't put a touch it rom on my phone in a while, what do i need to do? i dont see any directions, and its a little different in installing it compared to open touch. do i just open the rom update utility?

is there a way to get rid of the diamond keyboard... cause with it word completion doesnt work, nor predictive typing when entering a contact during sms/mms/or emails... word completion only works using the diamond keyboard only, not using the slide out keyboard.

Something very annoying I picked up is that if im busy with a calendar entry or asked to view a calendar entry and the phone rings, it doesnt allow me to answer the call. All buttons seem to freeze up and i have to reset the phone.

Yeah, I had a similar problem yesterday. What happened to me was my phone rang, and when I clicked the green button on the S2U2 screen to answer the call it popped up the contact info into a Notes entry. At that point, all key were frozen.

My phone continued to ring the whole time I was saying "Hello", and when I finally called that person back they said they could hear me saying "Hello".

This rom works for me, until I enable Exchange synchronization. After that, the phone is always in slo-mo mode, rendering it entirely unusable. A soft-reset doesn't help. I've even flashed the other rom (Touch-IT Diamond v1pb), which had the exact same effect - which is to be expected as the cores of these roms are identical. I've gone back to Touch-IT v7.1 for now....

Great rom btw! First one I've stuck with for more than a few days since I started flashing my phone a month ago... ;) I had MMS problems on a few of the others I tried using but don't think I will on this one. Honestly I haven't tried that yet. I'm using the lite version with ultimate launch and a few other 3rd party apps and games (spb mobileshell, spb weather, spades, casino, etc...) but I'm having a few issues

Palringo: Before I started flashing, this program had no issues saving settings I gave it as well as storing the login info. The only difference is I haven't 'installed' the program since I installed it to the SD card. Is it not saving the settings because of this? It not being in the registry?

MMS: for the lite version when I got to txt's > new > mms it seems a bit broken. I don't get the option to tap the MM area and add something, then when I got to insert, it gives me the normal looking selector that the original rom uses but everything is blank. I see the grid where the pics and options are supposed to be, they're just white.

Opera: I haven't been able to get opera v9.5 (installed to the SD card) to load a web page. the program seems to load fine, but webpages won't load. It just stays white.

System tray: I'd like to completely disable this from appearing. I've searched around the forum only to find how to turn the icon's off for different programs. Maybe I've missed it, but is there a way to completely hide it so no program can make it appear?

Other than these minor issues this is excatly the rom I have been looking for after learning and switching a few times. Open touch, JustClean easy bake oven, and Touch-IT are the three I've bounced between but after learning with their roms I looked for a very light app that I could add the stuff I wanted but didn't have to figure out the basic things you need... (NetCF, touchflo, MMS etc...) I'm getting an average of 20mb of free program memory and still have 30mb left for storage :) I haven't run across to many bugs at all either, mainly ones like above that are probably my error anyway except for the MMS one.

Oh, also, with all this going back and forth I have to re-do all my user settings like sliding sound and ringtones every time. Is there a simplier way of doing this? The backup app's I've tried just save contacts and such...

My next endeavor is going to be to find a good GPS program to go with the bluetooth GPS I ordered... Suggestions anyone?
