Well, few days ago, I released my first RUL (real ultra light) Rom, but I was no happy with the result, so I've done another ROM.
Now, if you are looking for a bigstorage and clean Rom, you've got one.

I've been a LONG time fan of Ausdim's V4 rom and have tried many, just to go back. His rom is VERY stable, VERY fast, and VERY clean.

Well, you have now raised the bar. This rom is Extremely Clean, Extremely Fast, and so far, Extremely Stable! I'm testing it for a couple days, and if it runs as well as your super lite, I will be modifying my signature soon. (No offense Ausdim :o )

I can't say anything about first question because I've not tried it.
And, no you don't lose any wifi and email account settings. But, please, don't do a soft-reset after settings. This isn't a HD, only a memory, and needs some time to save data information.

Like you I have been using the AX3L ROM for ages (since Nov last year according to my backups), its just been so reliable even amidst all the banter that 6.1 is better I have tried almost every WWE ROM this board has produced and always come back to AX3L.

Like SuperSport the closest I have got to sticking with 6.1 is the Ausdim ROM (just a couple of showstoppers).

Since trying out NiAx, I too finally think I have found a worthy replacement to AX3L. This ROM is so clean and yes just a little faster than WM6 (surprised that WM customer feedback was left in there though).

I'm not looking to change versions every half minute. The fact that nikitto and axl79 are active developers is cool but pending the next couple of days I, think 6.1.4 may be a keeper.

You won't be dissapointed, thanks nikitto!!

Ok, I'm back. First off, I don't regret for a second leaving WM6 behind and going to Ausdim's WM6.1 V4. As far as I can tell, I don't have any more hangups or crashes in WM6.1 than I did with WM6, and probably less. Yes, it is much faster, at least in my opinion.

I run TomTom, Opera, LiveSearch, and WeatherWatcher almost every day. I have it set to check my Gmail account every 15 minutes, and sync my calendar and contacts every 4 hours using Plaxo. I talk about 20 mins - 2 hours per day, and txt about 5-20 msgs per day. Depending on which vehicle I'm driving/riding, I sync to my Bluetooth Stereo, or my TomTom Rider and my Cardo Scala Rider Teamset BT Headsets. All this, and my phone still only crashes about once every couple weeks or so. I'd say that beats the pants off WM6. Remember, it IS still Windows after all... ;) (Luv Ya Bill)

Ausdim's V4 was almost perfect. VERY rarely crashed, or caused any problems, and as far as I can tell so far, this CLEAN NiAX 6.1.40 is EVERY BIT as stable, and a little bit FASTER. I did have it crash on me the other day, but just to be fair, I did not do a CLEAN flash of the OEM WM6 before flashing this ROM (something I always do to prevent problems). I'm going to do an OEM flash, then re-flash this ROM, then watch it again for a few days.

What I like most about this ROM is how clean it is. It is the CLEANEST Rom I've found so far. I can add ONLY the apps/themes I want, and not what someone else thinks I should have.

As far as the Customer Feedback being left in there, I believe that was done because it was a part of the original OS. They were trying to keep the ROM as close to the original OS as posible.

I already loaded it up, but I believe it was around 27-29. As much as any other I've used...

I currently have Plaxo.exe, Batti.exe, FTouchFlo.exe, psShutXP.exe, EnlargeStartMenu, HTC Task Mgr, and VoiceCmd.exe, (along with standard Windows processes), running in the background, and still have 25.13M available. Not bad. :)

It appears that it was just hidden from the System Menu, but not removed from the OS. I guess one less icon to deal with. Seems like a good idea. :D

So far i have only 2 probelms.
1. To kill the idle ActiveSync, i install asynckiller, but it doesn't seems to work with this rom.
2. Camera quality is very poor. (Akeo rom's camera quality was very good)

I can live with this. But if we can improve the camera quality, would be much helpfull.

1.- We're using asynckiller in our Spanish & English versions and we haven't got
any problem. It works properly.
But I remember in older (6.1.30) version we had a problem. We just changed ASynckiller version, and all worked fine.... I've looked afer the version but I didn't find any number. Sorry.

2.- Camera quality ? I don't understand. Isn't a 2 Megapixels camera ? I think the quality should be the same.

Thanks nikito for the quick reply. Am ok with that. But wondering, if you are able to do something with the battery. So far all the cooked roms eat up battery very fast, including yours. I charge fully to 100% about 1am and goto sleep. When i wake up about 7am battery is 80%. In between phone is not used at all. This was not the case when using Original Rom from HTC.
If you could do something to increase the battery life, without affecting the performance or anything else; i would give you 100 marks.:)

1. I use QuickMenu and check the option to Auto Close ActiveSync. This works fine.
2. I haven't noticed any drop in camera quality, I believe it's still using the standard OEM camera (version 4.02 build 27035). Try altering your Capture Setting Quality, default is Fine.

Does any have problem with GPRS? Mine is not working. Unable to connect. Tired connecting using many software.. not working. Since there is no "Network Wizard" in this Rom am unable to check or change network settings. Any help!!!

Guys i just download HTC Network Wizard and configure the network settings. After which able to see the GPRS connection. But it hangs there. Moment i connect to GPRS, whole system hangs.

Since i have a security app that connects to GPRS on startup; startup will hang too if i turn on.

Really need some help on this.. Thanks.

Hello jojithomas.

I think your device needs a Hard-Reset o 'clear memory'. You've got many problems and it's not usual. Maybe the memory is dirty from an old rom.
Try this and report your results. Remember, Hard-Reset deletes all data informations.

haha.. I flashed Akeo's ROM prior to this. Some apps didnt work for me in that rom. Then i took yours. I didn't have any major problem with yours EXCEPT GPRS. I will try to HS later and let you know the result. Thanks.

You have been having some strange symptoms that I have not experienced at all.

Seeing as you have HR back to an empty ROM anyway you should try flashing the official WM5 ROM and download a fresh copy of NiAx HRUL just in case there is an issue with yours.

I am using V1 but the differences shouldn't cause the problems you are experiencing.

Guys, #2 was the Bug in Auto Update Time Zone feature. I uncheck this option and its working fine. :D
