i agree, when i first got this phone in late feb 2007 or early march, i thought it was the same speed as the phone before it which was the hw6515 and it had half the mhz but its ok :)

Sergiopi is dubbed moderator, and the single most useful sticky in this forum appears. Very nice keep up the good work. Maybe its just me, but i'm quite sure there has been a serious lack of moderation around here.

I think the above post meant to say that he's not the author of the chinese ROM, but a guy by the name of deadwood is.

Also, you might wish to include the spl1.2 version of the same ROM mentioned in the other thread.

I suppose it is because these people have genuine difficulties in expressing themselves in English and understanding English. Same reason for other post in German, French etc on our Athena forums. Personally, I think it is not okay if they do it on a thread meant for everyone here. However, on thread which are specific to those who understand the language, I don't see why not.

Anyway, the post by the author of the ROM, expressing his madness, has nothing to do with the language, but probably the fact that someone has posted his work without his permission.

Actually I have great interest in his ROM, although using in Chinese is going to be very challenging for me. What I understand is that it is based on Diamond's ROM, which is just about the latest. If it works in Athena, I think our wonderful cooks could use it as a starting base to modify to English. Would'nt that be nice.

朽木头, I think you have a good piece of work there. We all know it was due to your great work that this ROM is posted here. I believe that zqx0531 has told everyone that you're the real author. We hope you don't mind your ROM being shared here. :)

I have the HTC x7500 with Athena Project Black Dual by PK 3.0 (SPL 1.2) installed.

1- Since the HTC diamond and the HTC touch pro is out on VGA, has anyone tried to make a new rom using these ROM?

2- From going over this forum, I couldn't make out if there was a new ROM which includes windows mobile 6.1. am i mistaken?

Yes, there are several WM 6.1 Rom's..See the first post in this thread..It lists some of the available 6.1 roms

I think I listed ALL the cooked ROM available for ATHENA.
AP3, German and HTC original are the 6.0 ROMs, other ROMs are WM 6.1

Thanks for c0rnholio for the direction, I have modded a HTC official WM 6.0 ROM (SPL. 3.5) to make it BlackBerry connect ready. Its working perfectly fine with BlackBerry connect version 4.0.0.97 (currectly running on my athena).

Though it was an easy task, but i guess will save lot of time spent in experimenting and hex editing for new-bees.

It's really great that we have so many roms. I know the best way to find out about a rom is to test it yourself but that requires some time. It would be helpful if some of those who have tried a number of roms gave us their views of their differences.

hi everybody!
quick question(s).. because i'm getting really confused with all the rom releases..
i'm using standard software from T-mibile right now..
So please correct me if i'm wrong..

First athenawrapper for CID unlock
then flash AP4 for SPL3.5
then flash the SPL3.5 ROM I want to use
correct?

So now, what ROM Release could i use to get the Home Interface (I don't know what's it called exactly) from the Diamond on my ameo?

and why should i flash a new radio release before flashing?
isn't it gone after i flashed the other ROM Release? Can't I flash it afterwards too?

If all that you want is the Diamond look alike today plugin, you don't even need to change ROM. Simply install spb mobile shell, than the diamond skin cab. Search for my post in the Diamond interface for Athena thread. I have links to two cab files that work on vga devices.
