View Full Version : [ROM][WWE] HTC Touch Official 6.1 ROM - ALMOST [Tabish ROM v3.3.6.1]

My Latest Official Flavour Rom
Tabish Rom v3.3.6.1 is here. The OS core is based on an extract and port from latest official HTC release (Opal ROM) which is closest to the HTC Touch sys folder. Base ROM remains 2.20.456.1B for OEM part which is the latest HTC rom for Elfs. This ensures 0 bugs, fast stable Rom which is VERY much what an official HTC Touch WM6.1 Rom would have looked like had they released one for us. Ofcourse mine would still have the advantage of being BIG STORAGE :)

Features/Updates from Tabish v2.x to v3.3.6.1 Rom
1. Wm6.1 (19971 Base from OPAL)
2. Esmertec JBed updated to 20080610.2.1
3. Default Pagepool to be Elf and Elfin friendly (though dsixda's EXCELLENT PP changer attached)
4. Task Manager updated to 2.1
5. HTC Random Access for contacts added.
Changes included from 3.3.6.1
6. .NETCF 3.5 (upgraded from 2.0) (Some people swear speed improvement, plus compatibility with new programs like Adavanced Config 3.x)
7. Bluetooth Activesync problem fixed
8. MSN connection fixed
9. Full Cities list (or atleast I think this is most complete list available)

I have also now included RUU files with download for people who are new to this.

PAGEPOOL and Memory
Rom is released with default 8mb PP setting but dsixda's excellent universal PP Changer is attached. I would like to give a disclaimer at this point that though the PP Changer works well with the ROM but I am NOT responsible for any damage caused by using the PP changer or my ROM for that matter.
Rom works very fast and very stable with 4mb PP with Elfs. Memory after first boot is as follows (for Elf with the default 8mb PP)

Storage
=======
Total: 47.94mb
In Use: 6.26mb
Free: 41.68mb

Program
=======
Total: 47.65mb
In Use: 25.44mb
Free: 22.21mb

But program memory quickly drops to
In Use: 28.39mb
Free: 19.26mb
after Cube is loaded in memory.

If you want more, you should shift to 4mb Pagepool but memory management for this build is very good and I have included the task manager screenshot below that shows 91% memory used while Audio manager, JBed, IE, SMS, connection manager and File explorer were open. For the record I was listening to a song, connected over wifi, downloading Opera Mini 4.1 on PIE and running Opera 4.1 on Jbed which was browsing facebook. I had the threaded SMS open and so was connection manager and file explorer (and ofcourse the screen capture program was in memory) AND cube was loaded n memory and I still had about 4mb free AND all this with the 8mb PP so you can imagine how it would be with 4mb PP.

Recommendations and Misc.
I strongly recommend installing the excellent IPL 2.27 and USPL 2.28 by htctouchp with this ROM. Its also recommended that you softboot and restart the phone once after first install before using it full time (works best after 1 normal restart)
Also I have attached a cab file for those who want to disable thread sms feature for whatever reasons.
Discussions, comments for this Rom starts on Page 10

DOWNLOAD & DONATION
Before you download and install the Rom think that if HTC offered an Official Wm6.1 upgrage for $5 for our HTC Elf/Elfins would you get it? What about $1? If yes, consider making a contribution for my work after you have tested and used the ROM because this is as close to an HTC Official Wm6.1 Rom as anyone could hope to get for our Elf/Elfins (and countless hours went into this)

What kind of memory leak are you talking about? How long until you run out of memory?
When I reset it in bootloader mode it says SPL 1.11.0000 - Am I concerned with this possible leak?

I know that memory tends to diminish in time, but since I installed the auto-hibernate tool, it's better (even though it still runs down).

Zeflash if you have 1.11 SPL then you are probably using the 1.11.707 version rom which does not include the new keypad etc or one of the cooked roms.
Memory runs down on all Pocket PCs but with the new 2.20 series there was a leak where the memory would disappear for no reason till it got to low memory warning in matter of seconds specially after opening IE.
This ROM is intended for people who want the original ROM feeling, speed and stability with the new keypad included and want additional storage over the measly 25 mb offered by original Roms and are sick of the memory problems.

Ok.
Just a note, I believe it's quite anormal to provide a SPL in a cooked ROM. Usually it's only the system segment, sometimes the radio is included. Anyway. I'm fine with my SPL.

The older SPL is the actual fix for the 2.20 Roms and thats why its included with my original Rom and seperately for those who dont want to reflash the whole OS but want to get rid of the memory problem can just flash the SPL part that I have uploaded

Would really appreciate if you could mention the details of available RAM and storage after using your ROM. I use an ELF.

Would really appreciate if you could mention the details of available RAM and storage after using your ROM. I use an ELF.

I am currently using it with a 6mb Pagepool using the attached Activesync PP change (was originally at 8mb) and so currently I have

Storage:
Total: 49.18 mb
In Use: 5.12 mb (after installing a few programs. was more after immediate flash)
Free: 44.13mb

Program:
Total: 49.72 mb
In Use: 27.43 mb
Free: 22.29 mb

After leaving it on for DAYS it runs down to 19.81 mb but I can easily launch Audio manager playing mp3s over bluetooth stereo, Wifi connected running IE and Opera mini 4.1 in Cloudyfa's Esmertec JBed and still have a 1-2 megs ram free... :)

Cloudyfa is one of the most talented cooks EVER so of course his work is VERY good. This rom is more for people who like original roms. This is an original rom just with ext.rom removed for big storage and patched spl to fix memory leak experienced on Elf with the 2.20.xxx Elf/Elfin Roms

I prefer 6mb PP cuz I think it works faster than 4mb PP for things like touch scrolling through programs etc. And I like HTC keypad better than the diamond keyboard. But whatver you prefer, I am just glad you are using my ROM :)

Yeah original roms ROCK in terms of speed and stability. This SPL fix can also be used with the Australian Official HTC 2.20.710.2B ROM or any other 2.20.xxx Elf/Elfin ROM for that matter but if you get sick of running out of STORAGE memory as well, flash my full rom which is exactly like the original rom with just 1 difference that it will have 40+ mb free and if you miss the programs in ext.rom then ZIP is attached with ext.rom included cabs :)

Thank you so much. This is totally original ROM flavour with no add-ins. Tell me how it works out for you. For all those who dont like ROM's original midlet manager, I am attaching here Cloudyfa's excellent Esmertec JBed that seems to work without hitch on all platform roms I have tried

...For those who are running some 2.20 Elf/Elfin original ROM and dont want BIG STORAGE and just sick of memory leak problem can download and flash the SPL only version of my work (you will not lose your data this way) and get rid of the memory leak problems. Download here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/120062331/Tabish_SPL.zip

Mmmh Well ok everything its ok, the device run smooth with your TABISH_SPL... BUT... on elfin it shows SPL 1.11.0000 and... the most important as you have an SPL from ELF the device will have half of memory as you can see:

http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/3680/sshot001dv8.png

So, is this intented only for ELF devices?, because you have mentioned both Elf/Elfin.

Mmh or did you forgot the link for the ELFIN version.

Any way GR8 JOB!...

EDIT: The device was not able to get back to SPL 2.20.0000. I was lucky because i did a Sktools backup before flash my phone with your SPL, because i had to flash my device with the original ROM to recover SPL then djvw's USPL for elfin.... then flash my own ROM... then recover all my stuff with sktools... SO TAKE CARE.

Sorry for the trouble but I very clearly mentioned in my first post
"Word of caution though, this is ONLY for ELF and will create memory problems with the Elfin.
ROM INFO:
2.20.707.1B all original programs (except the add-on cabs in Ext.Rom)
Radio Rom Included: 03.07.90"

The base ROM used was the original 2.20.707.1B Elf/Elfin ROM which was causing memory problems with Elf but worked fine on Elfin so yes, my rom is for ELF ONLY

It would REALLY HELP if you bother to read through first post before downloading and installing this or ANY ROM.

BTW, as i told you gr8 job, when i did flash it works very fluid. Shame its SPL for elf only.

Good ROM however it lacks very important network wizard it's too much pain to install network manually. Also at 6 mb page pool RAM comes to maximum 20.34 after restart. Good stability and speed though.

Cyzeek I will upload a version hopefully today without SPL included so you can just flash the OS if you want, but if you have an Elfin then you are better off with the original 2.20.707.1B rom since the Big storage would not matter to you. Let me know if you need the original 2.20.707 rom

I believe Network manager can be downloaded and installed but yeah I left it out cuz it does not have settings for my provider anyway.
And yes I did notice that with 6mb Pagepool, initially it was giving me 23mb free memory but eventually it came down to the same around 21sh after restart as 8mb version. Very strange!
But with 4mb pagepool, you get 25mb+ EVERYTIME!

Well i think you are right. Tell me does the ChangePPviaAS tool change page pool on the fly or do i have to dump the ROM n do it. I tried changing the page pool through Activesync but nothin it said could not copy itsutils.dll but page pool size changed. However nothin changed RAM is a measly 19.34mb at start. IF you can look into this matter coz i am not a cook or a programmer just a simple user of your ROM.

Oh it can do it on the fly but prior to that you need to app unlock your phone to allow installing of itsutils.dll. I included this in my first post. These need to be changed using a registry editor such as PHM registry editor or Resco registry addin for Resco explorer. Let me know if you need more help

Note: To use attached ChangePPViaAS the archive has to be extracted in your root directory with no spaces in the path and the following changes must be made on your device PRIOR to running the scripts

Navigate to: HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\
Change "00001001" value to 1 (decimal)
Change "00001005" value to 40 (decimal)
Change "00001017" value to 144 (decimal)
Reboot your device.

Dear Tabish, I have tried everything you said but RAM is not more than 19.5 megs at start, also the leak is still there. Appreciate your effort though. I have an idea if you take the 1.17.. Elf ROM and extract the good parts from a 2.20.. ROM like Touch keyboard and the new HTC home plugin and the updated smart dialer, task manager n all and replace them in the 1.17 ROM then you have a winner at your hands. If you have a problem doing this tell how to do this coz i would sure like to try.

Thanks webwiz. I dont like changing anything in stock official Roms except pagepool and making is bigstorage.

My main work was with the SPL so that the weird memory drain issue experienced by Elf users where memory would run low in minutes could be fixed.

But feel free to make any tweaks you think improves performance by using Auto Config 2.1 tool. I personally thought that this Rom was more responsive than the Tabish v1 with 4mb PP. Anyway, user experience varies I guess... Thanks again :)

Anyway my SPL is not really optimized or anything, just to make it work properly with the Elfs but go ahead put it through its paces :)

yup! running your tabish 1 ROM works like a fly at 4 Mb PP increased the font cache to 32 Kb for better performane. didnt flash the new ROM cause this one running fine.

Would love to see a 6.1 based ROM like the original ROMs. other cooks mess it up too much with custom softwares. Good work man. Keep it simple.

Hi Tabi, just installed the v2.0 on my elf. Running it with IPL 2.27.002. Thanks!

Would it be possible to run this rom with USPL 2.28? Or will the memory problem come back with upgrading the USPL?

Flasht USPL 2.28 with this rom. Had to do it twice to get it working (first flash no gsm connectivity). Hence running IPL 2.27 and USPL 2.28. Will test it this week.

I used a patched SPL 2.xx to avoid memory problems so cant guarantee how the newer USPLs would do. However from my inspections of the USPLs, HTC has resolved some memory issues the 2.xx SPLs had with Elfs so I think it should work fine.

Good luck with the tests

Hi Tabi,
I bought a second hand Touch yesterday and flashed your v2 rom. The device is running fine. But I discovered it is an elfin device (107mb program memory and 163mb storage memory). Because everything seems to run very fast and stable I am wondering if I should upgrade to v2.1, 8mb page pool. Another thing that comes to my mind if it is wise to upgrade the IPL (2.7) because you mention that only elf devices have the memory problems ....

Did you modify the ipl only or is the os part modified as well?

Yes, use the v2.1 cuz that will give you better performance.
And YES try the SPL 2.28 or 2.27, shoud not give memory problems on Elfin

OS was modified only to include the Modaco Redbox fix in which switching from T9 to ABC mode in HTC keypad or HTC keyboard puts a red box around the ABC button so that its more obvious when keyboard has switched from T9 to ABC mode.

Edit: I never patched the IPL. I only patched the SPL

Hi. I have been waiting for an original version of WM 6.1 to come out for the touch because the whole philosophy behind my roms is that if you base it on an original ROM for THAT device, its going to be more stable. I am gonna wait just a little longer and if HTC doesnt release a WM6.1 for Touch, I will make one.

In the mean time i have used some files from your base. (and my own old 2.2 and many others)

So it's a weird way of me giving compliments to the Rom.

Man I am sorry to hear that but one should always have their original ROM before trying out custom Roms (read the stickies and disclaimers) cuz its always risky with any ROM.
Last I checked there was no original ROM available for the Orange HTC Touch sets. There is just one guy who provides solutions for this problem with Orange HTC Touch but he charges money. There could have been new progress. I suggest you start by reading here:

You need to use USPL first to temporarily CID unlock your device. Please read the stickies and make sure you have your phone's original shipped ROM before trying an update (I cant stress enough how important this is)

EDIT

I am releasing the ROM on 1st OCT, 2008. Want to be sure I have tested it throughly before releasing.

Its going to be a official flavour ROM with Cube, Office, Windows Live, Messenger (in short nothing removed) except a European languages from the keypad for added storage space (English will be still there of course)

Only addition to stock rom will be Modaco Redbox fix that was in my 2.x version which basically just puts a red outline outside the abc key when shifted from T9 to ABC mode so that its clear that mode has shifted.

And yeah since the new IPLs/SPLs work problem-free with Elfs and Elfins, my SPL fix project is scrapped and my ROM will be IPL/SPL (even Radio) free

Hi,

I'm a newbie with a new HTC Touch purchased in Singapore and running WM6.

(1) As a newbie. should I even consider trying to upgrade to WM6.1 with an unofficial HTC version. Will I need adult supervision? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
:))

(2) Same question about upgrading my ROM.

Here are my phone specs:
ELF0100
ROM 2.20.707.1B WWE
ROM date 10/02/07
Radio version 03.07.90
Protocol 4.1.13.51
Ext ROM Setting version 2.20.707.101

Tabish i found problems there are no file associations for jpeg, gif and other media files in the registry, they do not open when clicked you have to open picture viewer to view them. Activesync doesn't detect activesync enabled PC via bluetooth. Other than that not faced anything else so far.

Lisa absorber has answered most of your queries well. I would just like to say that Wm6.1 definitely gives the touch a speed boost over wm6. Phone feels faster and more responsive. Also by flashing this rom you will get Zoom in Zoom out feature in IE, threaded sms (which can be turned off if you decide you dont like it), better memory management and hence MUCH fewer "Device low on memory" errors and more storage space.

If it sounds like you would like all those things, this is the best place to start
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406721

I would just like to add that I ALSO have the same device as yours bought from Singapore for which an original released ROM exists so flashing your phone is 99.99% safe cuz if it gets stuck in bootloader, or doesnt boot up, it can be recovered with original ROM (which can be downloaded from HTC/Dopod singapore website)

Yeah thats the page alright. If you were able to register your device and login on that page, its entry number 3 on page number 4 of "Download System Update" section.

OR...
Use this Rapidshare link

Alright, FIRST thing you should do is make sure you have original shipped Rom for your device.
Then you CID unlock your device by using this file if
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=99975&d=1216310922
if you are using 1.xx IPL/SPL
or this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=101826&d=1217023119
if your device has 2.xx IPL/SPL

You can use RUU update utility and other files from any ROM replacing the NBH file by my NBH file.
I am also attaching a RUU folder which you can unzip and put nbh file from ANY ROM into to flash to your Touch (after CID unlocking).

However I think its best to wait a day or something because I am about to release a new build of my ROM (with bluetooth Activesync problem fixed) and you can use this time to read this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406721
which will be very very useful for all your flashing questions/confusions

Though I have to say, man dont go there :p
This all started with me trying to cook a custom ROM for myself and it just EATS UP time. Flashing and reflashing.
INFACT I just remembered that one more philosophy of mine is that you should have one working ROM and then reflashing should be minimum. I would not be releasing a new version had there not been the bluetooth activesync issue. (By the way, new version is coming tomorrow so hang on!!)

INFACT I just remembered that one more philosophy of mine is that you should have one working ROM and then reflashing should be minimum. I would not be releasing a new version had there not been the bluetooth activesync issue. (By the way, new version is coming tomorrow so hang on!!)
YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Now you made me happy!!!!! :D
I have just flashed the ROM into my Elf, and so far no issues... unless that I was configuring the MSN account and it kinda "crashed" and booted... but this was only once...
Still no major issues with Activesync... I'll still test the Bluetooth...

But since your new rom is coming up tomorrow, I'll just organize the elf, so then I can use it till tomorrow, when I'll be flashing the new rom... :)

Thanks a lot!!!

He Navrichard,

I had this same doubt, which was answered by Tabi (Yesterday, 04:08 PM tabi13).
He sent the RUU file, all you have to do is unzip the folder and put the NBH file in the sambe folder. Then run the RUU...

Just take a look in a few posts above in this same page.

Cheers :D

Hi Tabi!!!:D
Just a quick note I'd like to post here... as I told you, I've flashed the rom into my elf, and everything seems to be working fine... I also installed the WisBar Adv and the WisBar Desktop in it and it's fine as well...
Internet connections and weather running smoothly...

I have just a single concern which is regarding the MSN... I don't know if anyone here had the same issue...
everytime I reboot (reset) the elf, when it starts I get a message saying: "The Operator does not exist in the database. Please contact your operator for the connection settings. Connection Setup will redirect you to Connections screen."

But as I mentioned above, my internet GPRS is configured as usual, and everything (downloads, emails, internet, weather...) is working perfectly, except for the Messenger.:(

Could it has any relationship?

I appreciate your feedback about this!
And I'm still waiting for the new rom!!!

See you!!
Cheers!

hello, some ROMS are not working in my HTC touch maybe because it needs a CID unlock.

I can't do a CID unlock without having an already working ROM on it.

My HTC rom is not working and I have a BLUE-YELLOW-RED screen on the startup. no os installed.

how can I CID unlock it in order to install the rom?

thank you

That message comes if your network is not on the network list in the connection manager I have included. With the dismiss button you should choose "never ask me this again" (or similar)
So if connection manager is not auto-setting up your connection, are you doing it manually?
Try using MSN over wifi and report back how it works.

p.s. I am JUST uploading the new ROM. Dont be TOO excited cuz only changes are NETCF3.5 (from 2.0) and Bluetooth Activesync fix

Hi. You will need an official HTC ROM (one that works without CID unlocking) for your device. Just connect your Phone in Red, Green Blue screen mode to your USB and run the installer.
Once your phone is working again you can use links in post 113 a few posts above yours to CID unlock your phone and install my ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2750583&postcount=113

You should also read the last link in post 113 to read about CID unlocking, unbricking and ROM info your your phone

Hi Tabi,

I just got the msn working, I have installed a msn which I had here and it works... the only issue I have is that after a certain period using the msn it consumes all the memory ram.... it easily gets to 11MB... =S
Don't know what to do...

Regarding the message from the network, I have only a "HIDE" option... :(
No dismiss or any buttons like this...
any other tip??

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It indeed IS a problem. MSN not working in 3.1 or 3.2 build. Just hang on, new build coming today that will fix this problem.
As for auto configuration, you can go to settings->connections->connection setup->menu and uncheck Enable Auto Configuration but you can try that on the new build that I will release in a few hours from now :)

Cool, thanks for the connections tip! :D

Just FYI, the version of the MSN which I installed is the "Windows Live 10.6.0034.0800 (Fixed)"... I don't know if this could be the reason of the memory issue when using the msn...

Please lemme know once you have released the new build... and if it's not asking to much, could you put it in other place than Rapidshare? Maybe 4shared or any other... I always have problems with Rapidshare...

dear, i already made contribution as u mentioned..waiting to know more abt how i can download and install the rom.
if it feels confortable for me a i can advise to a lot of my friends, having htc p3450 like me in dubai, u.a.e., to do the same.

Storage
=======
Total: 47.94mb
In Use: 6.26mb
Free: 41.68mb

Program
=======

No, I am afraid it doesnt. I am using XML list from the 2.20.707.1B rom so if it doesnt show up in mine, it probably doesnt show up in that either.
Maybe Indian HTC's had a custom ROM built with more Indian cities?

Hi Tabish,

I successfully installed your ROM on my ELF : my first cooked ROM ever on a mobile !

Everything is working fine, except :
- some memory problems, mostly with memory hungry apps like with Opera Mobile or WorldMate,
=> I might try "dsixda's excellent universal PP Changer", but I'm not sure yet it will help

- keyboard : is it possible for you to provide the french language file ?
(I don't need any other languages than English and French)

Thank you very much !

First of all, thank you very much for downloading and trying my ROM (and the feedback)

On the Elf and its limited RAM, memory will always be a problem specially if you want to use the cube. But do try the PP changer cuz I dont feel any performance difference and it gives me an extra 4mb to work with.
Opera Mobile is a HUGE resource hog so well, thats that I guess.
I am attaching t9 cabs for French and Spanish. Tell me if they work.

Also if anyone wants any other language file, let me know

Tabi,

Sorry, just got around to trying it now. Everything, including Bluetooth, works great for me with a 4MB PP. If you have the Chinese language laying around somewhere, that'd be helpful, but not necessary (as I have a 3rd party enabler).

Thanks for all your work!

I switched to a 4MB PP, I'll tell you in a few days if I noticed an improvement.

I am attaching t9 cabs for French and Spanish. Tell me if they work.

I installed the french cab by copying it on the HTC and clicking on the cab file to install it, then restarted the device.

Unfortunately, there is something wrong :

1. I can't get any word completion anymore with the "Keyboard" or the "Touch Keyboard", even if I switch back to English language : the "black line" where words were suggested doesn't show up anymore.
I restarted the HTC, checked off & on the word completion option but it doesn't change anything.

2. When I select "Touch Keypad" as input option, it is the "Touch Keyboard" that appears.

Any hint, clue, suggestion would be welcome...
Thank you !

Damn! I am so sorry. I just searched for extra language cab files and posted them here. I am going to manually extract the files and send them to you. In the meantime see if uninstalling the french cab gets your autocomplete going again. If not I am afraid you might have to reflash the ROM

Ok. Hum, how should I do that ? :)

I could uninstall the T9 French cab with the standard "Remove programs" application, and things seems to work fine :
- Word completion ok (with English language)
- Touch Keypad ok

So if you can provide an other way to install the T9 French language, and a French keyboard, things would be perfect ! :)

You I wanted to address specifically cuz its a unique problem. I too have operator settings without a password and I get no such issues and GPRS works fine.
Whats your provider? My guess is operator settings stored in my version of connection manager do not match with settings of your operator. Also were you using connection manager to config settings from Onyx?

Many thanks to Tab13 and Absorber for these thoughtful answers.

Just in case I mess up, where can I find the original ROM. I've looked here:
http://www.asia.htc.com/HTC_SEA/members/others.aspx
But didn't see what looked like the original ROM.
Where else can I try?

With that info, I'll be spending a happy weekend reading and then flashing my phone.

Thanks,
Lisa

Yeah thats the page alright. If you were able to register your device and login on that page, its entry number 3 on page number 4 of "Download System Update" section.

OR...
Use this Rapidshare link
http://rapidshare.com/files/113557640/RUU_Elfin_DOPODASIA_WWE_2.20.707.1B_4.1.13.51_03.0 7.90_BLUE_Ship_Reduced.exe

NOTE: Run this exe and its its able to flash your phone without JumpSPL or USPL then its confirmed original ROM for your device (battery has to be more than 50%)

Can anybody tell me why, when I write S.N. there, says : Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.

I download then from rapidshare, but I don`t know if can be something wrong when I will update.

Thank you all:)

Im having issues with this rom. Everytime i restart the phone, it does not give me time to enter my pin, the pin screen will be lost in the background because it does not block the phone from loading.

How can i correct this?

Downgrade to USPL 2.28 using the white screen method.

Yeah.. Just ignore the fact that it wont allow you to do it at start up. instead let it load and when done, press up at the top, where the antenna icon is. Then you should be able to press "settings" and from the press your pin

That is so annoying, i think that is one of the biggest flaws of this rom.

I think this is the best ROM for ELF. I have tried lots but none suits me better. All apps are appropriate no missing MMS software no added crap. This thing rocks.

Hi everyone,
Yesterday I installed the ROM. Everything was fine. But it suddenly shut down. I tried to open with hard reset. It didn't helped. I just seen "smart mobility" and black screen. I tried to pull out the battery for a few minutes. I tried to fill the charge full. What can I do more? Plz help!

Hi,
I am a newbie to this.
I started upgrading the ROM and got stuck at 3%, later after going through the forum I realized that I will also have to run the CID which I did and was successful.
Again when I come back and start the ROM upgrade it still stops at 3%.

Am I missing anything here?

Hi i'm rave

and i just have a little query if i could upgrade my ROM through Windows Vista..

i downloaded about 3-4 ROM Upgrades from here...
and tried everyone of them..

the ROM Upgrade Utility begins it's process... and right when it reaches 3% the process breaks and an error pops up...

it says
ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR

The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility.

HI!

I need a fast reply. Will this change deutsch language (which I'm barelly using now) to english?

Thanks!

P.S.: I have HTC Touch brought from Germany and its somehow called MDA Touch, but it looks the same.

Why am I getting Invalid Device ID error? My device is ELF0300 and this ROM was made for it.Whats wrong?
