What am I doing Wrong with Flashing Roms?

I have a T-Mobile G4 Wizard. First I did a hard reset on my phone then I used the Offical T-Mobile Update utility. I downloaded SoftSPL uncompressed it. I put the nk.nbf fill in to the directory of SoftSPL. Next i ran SoftSPL. It when thought the cycle. (Tex was on screen then it went white.) I loaded BlackDiamond_3[1].1_Touch to phone. It completed and phone restarted. I set the phone up. Nothing changed on phone. It is still the same as T-Moble shipped WM5.

Am I missing somthing or am I doing somthing wrong? I dont understand why this isn't working.

Plz Help.
