View Full Version : Upgrade a wm6 device using ubuntu?

Hi, I've just put Ubuntu onto my laptop (not dual boot) and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to escape microsoft, however I was wondering if there was any way I could upgrade my spv m3100 without reinstalling vista/xp or doing a sd card upgrade as my card is full of tomtom maps. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

ps only doing this in preporation for Schapps latest release !!

probably the easiest way is to use the SD card flashing method, raises the least questions about USB and serieal compatability etc...

I agree with Vanx, the SD card method is the easiest and, IMO, safest way to do it.

However, if you want to try it under linux via USB, check out this thread from Pof:
