[HELP] MPX200 Can't Charge and Keypad Light dissapear

Anyone know how to fix mpx200 which can't be charged again ??? I can sync to PC just fine, but the battery didn't charged. I also can't charge the battery using normal charger. I know the fix from another website. It said I have to change the fuse or bridge it. But that thread is from about 2 years ago.


I don't know where to buy the fuse mentioned there. And I can't buy something from the Internet. :(

I live in Indonesia, I have asked that "fuse" thing in some phone repairing services, but they didn't know. Maybe it has a different name here.

And my keypad backlight also dissapear.

yes you can bridge the fuse if this is the problem! i encounter also like yours but when i checked the fuse it was ok! i remove the batt, sim and sd overnight, then it was ok by morning. try it!

my keypad backlight also disappers from doing the BASS MOD! i maybe did something wrong during the process, if you've fixed your backlight please tell me how you did it, thanks in advance......

but how do i "bridge" the fuse ???? I still didn't get it. i'm not a technician :(

bridging is just joining each end together! get a piece of thin wire and solder each end to the ends of the fuse.....

the fuse is a safety precaution of the device! it has a maximum capacity of current that can pass through it thus when it is over its limit, it breaks the circuit connection to avoid damage to other components.

if you bridge it, you are not using the fuse anymore since your fuse is broken anyway i guess.

p.s. i'm not a technician either.........

if your phone works, it is not the fuse. Prob the battery
