You trade your cruise for such a "thing" with slide keyboard?
tztztz. Can't understand that ;)

You know, I was comparing dimensions and it's not much thicker than our current Cruise. It's not like the Kaiser which is a brick in my opinion. I also like the fact that it has increased memory and a microSD card slot as opposed to the Diamond. Don't think I'm gonna replace my Cruise with either of those devices anytime soon. Kind of jaded with HTC/WM6 at the moment.

You do realise that both the Diamond and the Touch Pro/Raphael will in effect still be very similar to our Touch Cruise right? Honestly, all these 2 new models really have is a prettier verison of Touch Flo. No real upgrades, and likely the same quirks. WM is the root problem (check the Diamond forums for reports video 2D responsiveness); We likely won't see any device as slick or fast as the iPhone in terms of UI until WM7. Save your money, and wait a few more months.

That Pro "thing" actually have a better Touch Flo interface, faster CPU, more RAM & ROM, VGA display, TV OUT, and I can get rid of that problematic Super Tiny WM Default keyboard or that confusing Touch Keyboard.
Yes, it's still a "thing", but I think it's a good "thing". :D

Exactly, which is why I'm jaded by the whole thing. Especially with the $$$ we spend on the device. Don't get me wrong, I like the Cruise, it's just kind of annoying that we don't really get updates or support for the device (drivers, fixes, etc). Instead all I see is new devices being made and ours getting ignored. Meanwhile Apple slashed the price of their device to $199, and continues to release major firmware updates. <sigh>.

I completely agree with the first part, HTC won't really have a major update or improvement on the old device.
About iphone, those firmware update are mostly for preventing people to unlock the phone.
