Does anyone know if there is an easy fix for the slow text input speed. When I'm typing a text frequently the tilt will struggle to keep up and often miss key presses. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I'm running the stock rom and am planning on flashing to a better wm 6.1 rom.

All I can say is that I'm using a cooked 6.1 rom and the text input speed is great. :)

Aye, same problems, especially when using the Function/Shift key it'll drag the function/shift over to the next key input making end up with things like "don'*" and "I'&l"
Edit: Running Dutty's wm 6.1 WWE, radio 1.58.16.27

If I recall correctly, and I could be wrong, Taiseer (sp?), has both an enable and disable xt-9, which has been reported to help.

Well, I flashed dutty's wm6.1 hybrid v2 and the input speed is quite a bit better but I was hoping for improved video framerate. Is WM just notoriously bad at playing wmv files?

the rate of playback is limited by the processor, so it really depends on the bitrate of the video that you're trying to play, and the resolution.
If you're trying to watch ultra high resolution videos (like 1280 x 960 WMV HD videos) yea, it'll bog down like no tomorrow. But you should easily get 30fps for a 320 x 240 <--> 640 x 480 video size.
edit:
Anyway, getting back to the problem at hand, I had the same problem with laggy response in text entering mode.
So I just opted to reflash to a different rom and went for this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396882
Gave me a massive speedup, and everythings running far faster than it was even on the stock ATT rom.
Just food for thought.

I'm using Death WM 6.1 and I have a big issue with slow text speed and missing keys, if there is a fix for this (besides reflashing) i'd love to know about it.
