JUST GPS on Verizon

I'm happy with my vx6800 except for the lack of GPS... my question is, can I JUST flash the radio rom and nothing else, thereby leaving my phone essentially stock except with gps?

If anyone lives in the Tampa area, I'd love to meet up over a mocha or beer and talk about upgrading this thing!!!

Short answer is no on verizon; unless you switch to sprint you must void your warranty and hack the phone (read caveat below).

The upside is that you can switch back to stock Verizon Rom if you know how (I just did successfully) but you have to take the jump and change the bootloader, Radio and Rom.
