newbie Q, how do I remove an icon from programs?

I tried to uninstall sprite and then installed a newer version and then it didn't work so I did it again. One works but now I have three icons for it under programs. Is there an easy way to remove two of them? I can't uninstall because it never seems to complete and uninstall :confused:

Use your file explorer and navigate to window/start menu/program. You should see three icons of that applications there. If they have the same name then the other two will probably be named sprite(1) and sprite(2). Delete them there.
