Its already running on my Qtek 8310 :) Looks veery nice. This sliding panel is great and this green scheme and wallpaper are realy nice. After 10mins playing with ROM i didnt find any bugs.

After 24 hours playing this rom, this rom is great very fast and stable for me much better than GnatGoSplat version because the only bugs I found when Playing Windows Media Player backlight doesn't turn off and the CHOME issue....although rick posted the hot fix for the backlight issue I will wait for rick to integrate all the changes in the rom concerning the bugs before I will reflash again when rick update the rom today...Thanks a lot rick for your effort hope to see an update from you today:)

ah sorry, i didnt notivced u meant xt9.

I found a bug in ROM. When option 'recive incoming beams' is ticked its impossible to turn of bluetooth/visibility but when u have it unselected you are albe to turn bluetooth on, but of corse u cant recive any beams.
I thought its coused by any of programms i've installed but also hard reset didnt resolve this issue...
Have you experinced it? Ill add im using v2 posted 10 jun

When I call to somebody I recive screen Massage from Sender: 111 with call raport (talk time, cost, ect.) - this function (flash sms?) didn`t work.

I test WM 6.1 pre [1.3] on my Typhoon and this feature works fine. It`s possilble to compare this rom and check what wrong? It`s really important to me.

Okay, I have used the T-Mobile USA Tzones proxy on my MDA and SDA successfully for a long time. I flashed this ROM, and can't get connected to the internet. Anyone else have this issue? It is making me CRAZY! Any suggestions? I want to add that I LOVE this ROM! Thanks!

italian language is not included, but you may install an italian T9 file for SMS etc. with wifi i have not heared of any problems and mp3 works as usual with windows mobile - no issue. skype is working with all wm6 and wm 6.1 roms i have tested - so it should work with this one also. and asking about pro - these pro versions are for pda with touchscreen. if you are not experianced or if you want hazlefree usability, don't use it on smartphones. :cool:

and ... no ... i don't say nothing about the italian performance at the european football championship :D

the last 2 questions can be answered by using hte CHome Settings application. it's under settings, app 9/9 on the sliding panels. as for ringtones i dont know and i want to know.

There are many ways to do this.
You can put new files on windows directory and change names in registry;
You can find a program to do it for you, etc.

Here is what I did:
First go to:
http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/SDAapps.htm
and download "Silent Boot/Shutdown"
once you got that put it on your phone and run it, this will save you 450KB of phone memory.

Now to change startup and shutdown pictures do this:

Connect your phone to PC, run active sync and browse to Windows folder of your phone (not memory card). Once there find these three files and copy them to safe place on your computer. Files you need to find are:
carrier_splash.png
ms_splash.png
carrier_shutdown.png

Remember first two are used for startup and 2nd and 3rd for shut down.

Now go make 3 pictures of your choice and resize them to 240 x 320 pixels and save them as png files.
Once you got these ready just copy them to windows folder and when asked do you want to replace - say yes - as you got backups on PC which we made earlier.
All done and you got 450KB spare.

Thanks for the ROM rickwyatt, but i still do find a usual bug that some ringtones were like corrupted (Settings - Sounds) and the overall audio quality is not that good. But what more can i say, thanks still rickwyatt, i hope you can still find time to fix the issues. :)

Well for my taste this rom is by far best one I tried.

Missing programs and ringtones are not bug, its just that files are missing (proly they were on storage card to save space).
As far as ringtones there are tons of them on the web.

Hi, I've just tested it on my phone (C600), and it works correctly.
Maybe a hard reset will solve it? You can also see if you have the same problem with others roms (wm6.1 or wm6)...

its becous something inside get stuck. When i have this problem i keep pluging it in and unpluging it out until it fix (keep doping this while your music player is on and you can hear when its fixed). Some people are blowing inside :)

Hello,

I just "successfully" updated my Cingular 2125 (Faraday) the the version 2 ROM above.

Everything seemed to work fine except the the up directional button (joystick).

Then when I synced to my Exchange email account it promted me to enter a simple PIN password (as expected) but not I can not use the directional pad/joystick at all -- making my device effectively loced because I can not scroll down to enter the PIN setting.

This ROM is a very good one. However I have a huge problem. I want my t9 back :D this xt9 sucks i think. How can i disable xt9 and use t9 only???

Hi, the rom works great on my tmobile sda.

Is there a way to show more upcoming appointments in the cappointments panel? I believe it only shows appointments for today and tomorrow only. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, congratz for this excelent rom!
altough i'm having a few issues:
bluetooth does not work, the blue ligth is flashing, but bluetooth does now works and according to the software its off.
another issue is with notifications for email, they don't play the defined sound(i've tryed witha few sounds)

Bluetooth works fine for me and I am on old plain Jane, but works for my wife as well and she is on new plain jane; so better look what you did wrong.

Dear sir,
now i got a HTC Faraday, and i'm trying to reflash the ROM to WM6!
but after using "SDA_ApplicatioUnlock" to unlock the device, and using "TyphoonNBFTools.exe" to flash the ROM, the device is dead, totally dead! i could not turn it on, even remove the battery....
does anyone who can help me to solve this probelm?
or i just let it go, dust to dust......

First of all, do not give up,
I am sure if someone had same problem as you - this would be the place to find it.
I didn't understand what was "TyphoonNBFTools.exe" for? but I am new to smartphones so ...
In case your phone comes back to life please use karhoe's instructions to install WM6.

I am having a gprs issue, (at least I think I am?) I have at&t, I have tried every possible combination of settings I could find and the 2 auto-setup cab fi;es and have had no luck getting this ROM to operate with gprs on my tornado. Everything else seems to work ok. Under WM5 I got my gprs set up in about 10 seconds, the same setting no longer work. Any ideas?

Well I've messed around with this rom for a while longer. I am using AT&T not t-mobile and still cant get the GPRS working after many many attempts with different settings that supposedly 'should' work. Another thing I noticed was that my bluetooth headset cant do voice dialing. Is there a ROM available with the MS voice connect or whatever already installed, and with the mobile office installed?


One thing that worked that didnt work under WM5 was google maps 'my location' feature that read what cell tower you are on to give a general position. At least with ATT this wasnt working under WM5.

Any suggestions of other more feature enabled roms would be appreciated, I am still new to modding the smartphone.

Try turn off the blue tooth visibility and it will work

Has anybody figured out how to change/add alert sounds in this rom yet? I add .wma files into the windows directory and they don't show up in the alerts list.

It seems like the list of alerts is static, like it's not looking at the directory to see what's there, like it's getting it's info from a list or something.

I know that works for the ringtones, but I'm talking about the sms and email alerts..
