Anyone else having issues sending via Gmail SMTP?

My account was working for the previous year or so, but as of Sunday, it's not sending anymore. It gives me the:
The message cannot be sent. Be certain that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again.

I can download mails from the account, so the account information is accurate and I do have network coverage, so I'm at a loss.

I tried to start up the entire account over again, but no luck.

Help?

GMail is more than likely running some system changes. I would contact "GMail" or at least check their faq or support section before coming here. You'll get WAY more help there. Here will be a bunch of back and forth of "huh" to each other on this kind of subject. Plus, there are "tons" of threads about Gmail on this forum, just use the search above. If anyone knows anything, They have probably posted it already, otherwise, give it a week or so, see if you are still having problems. Talk to gmail, other people that use gmail, see if they have the same problem. I think you'll have better luck on a gmail thread than a smartphone thread. Later;)

I was having issues from my desktop, and found through a little troubleshooting that one of their ports is not responding ...

smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587

I was originally configured for port 465 - but it stopped working. I changed over to port 587 and all is good again.
