Please, please, please help me...

I've got a real challenge for all techies.

TYTN II original DUTCH rom (Hacked: No, Simlock: Free).

The problem started:
After a softreset it went straight into the 4 color bootscreen.
(the softreset was given after software update, so there was NO crash or some other errors).

This forum is full of solutions for failed rom updates that result in bootscreen boots, but i tryed them all, but NONE WORKED! <sniffer>
My bootscreen problem started as result of a softreset and not a result of some sort of update.

In MTTY i can connect and tryed several options as described in these forums.
Command: set 14 0 (tryed, no result)
Command: set 16 0 (tryed, no result)
Command: boot (command error!)
Command: task 8 (device resets and returns to 4 color boot).
Command: task 28 (some sort of format happens, but no effect).
Command: task 0 (no effect).

"boot" command allway's gives error, also when issiued as first command (read it somewhere this could help).
The "boot" command just is not available in my tytn ii version.

Offcourse i followed all suggestions to the letter (remove battery, reset, remove SD card, etc, etc. I realy did all the right steps exactly according to the solutions posted here).
But whatever i try it keeps booting in 4 color screen ?!

And to make things worse...
Command "boot" does NOT work (command error!). So i can not get past the bootscreen by using MTTY commands.

Only one way to get it booting to OS:
Remove battery for > 4 hours... then it boots into OS.

After booting into OS:
- Soft reset.. returns to 4 color boot.
- Hard reset.. returns to 4 color boot.

After i tryed all forum tips i desided to install the official HTC WM6.1 update (dutch).
Result ROM update: succesful 6.1 update installed from SDcard.
- But... Still booting in 4 color bootscreen. <aaarghhh>.

My 5 cents:
I believe the device has another bootflag set to 1 that needs to be reset (so another flag then the 14 or 16 option).

Status:
Now I have a succesfull rom update (HTC 6.1 dutch).
I do NOT have the RUU.. text in top of screen.
The device goes into bootscreen and can only get past it by removing the battery for >4 hours.

When booting i see a short 1/2 second screen stating:
Loading.... "No image File !!!"
Then it returns to the 4 color bootscreen.

On bootscreen:
KAIS130
SPL-3.29.0000
CPLD-8

I Hope someone can find the correct command to boot past the 4 colored screen, and even better; find the command that will reset the flag so it will boot normally allways in the future.

Thx all for all the help so far.

Thnx for trying to fix it gsleon3.

After spending some time on MSN with MTTY tool en gsleon3 as support, it seems this can't be fixed.

gsleon3 will hopefully do a bit more explaining (he can do that much better then me) about the problem so others might be helped when they encounter this problem.

One thing i learned... When phone is NOT unlocked many commands do also not work and is therefore more difficult to fix.
Is that a reason to unlock? Not for me... HTC should have made a good phone without stupid locks anyway.
But one thing i know now...
I still have warranty on this device and mine is going back for repairs. But i will unlock this sucker 2 day's before warranty ends ;-)

Thnx all for the help in this forum.

I've made some progress on this.
It seems the phone is working better now and bootscreen problem is partialy solved.

What i did..
- I removed the battery for 4 whole day's.
- Insert battery whitout SD and without Simcard.
- Startup phone... all worked well.
- Shutdown phone (holding on/off switch for 5 secs).
- Insert SIMcard and SD Card.
- Startup Phone... all worked well.
- RESET (needed after simcard detected)..
- result.. RESET OK! No bootscreen?!

I installed some software and settings, all ok.

- I installed more software that needed reset.
- Reset stylus.. result: BOOTSCREEN?!
- Remove battery for about 3 secs.
- Insert battery (keep the phone OFF!).
- Wait 2 minutes.
- Phone ON.. result. OK ! NO BOOTSCREEN?!

Now after a few day's the results..
Every now and then after reboot the phone goes into bootscreen mode.
Solution: Remove battery for 3 secs, insert battery, wait 30 secs. boot all OK.

Not every reset results in bootscreen but about 1/3 do..
How, What, Why? Only the HTC-God knows....

Do you have garanty? Send it in for repair.
Don't have it, or just don't want to miss your phone for 5 weeks? Then try the above steps and let us know how it went...

It worked for me, and the bootscreens i now get are resolved in a minute.
I don't know how or why.. it just worked.

Yesterday the exeption..
After a reset it went into the bootscreen again.
The simple steps (remove batt, insert batt., wait 3 secs) didn't work..
I removed SIM and SD.. and what the hell.. it booted into OS ???!
Shutdown, Installed Sim and SD, booted into OS and all running again.
After that i since then rebooted about 5 times without bootscreen problem.

Hope this helpes someone.

GL to all.

Same problem here.

I started a thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402562) about it, and commented about this problem in other threads (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=371154).

If any1 has any info about this problem, please help us!

After reading a lot about it, it seems that GSLEON is the closer one to a solution.

I don't know if there is a command for task 2a into HardSPL 3.29 (my case) but... if it does exist, would it solve the problem to try it + frankenkaiser ?

I'm really desperate... want my poor tytn II back :(

Thing is, after reading the forums for 4 days looking for an answer, all I've found was a lot of ppl with the same problem...

Ok.

After reseting the device countless times, including removing the battery etc., finally, it booted CE once. I managed to copy SSPL and flash the original HTC bootloader, along with a default OEM ROM.

Didn't work, the cellphone STILL boots into bootloader. Difference is, now the bootloader reads

KAIS130
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8

I'm officially out of ideas. Now I'll start running in circles and banging my head against the wall.

helP!
