Ok, thought i'd do this so we can look for new apps easily, as we all will have something that someone else hasn't! And will save people (myself included) from trawling the forum every day for something new to play with!!

So Far:

TouchFlo Tweaker (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390345) for polaris, but seems to work fine with my nike
SetVolume (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395695) nifty full screen volume changer, change volume by moving finger round dial + set vibrate, mute, etc. by pressing middle button
pRSSReader (http://pda.jasnapaka.com/prssr/) free and great, Today plugin feature too
Batti (http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/) shows battery bar at top of screen, change height, colours, frame, percentages, always on top etc. nice if you don't want wisbar, etc. installed for this feature
GroupSMS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354164) click menu in sms options then add group of recipients in one go, great for calling the herd to watering hole!
HushSMS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338960) *cof*cof* shhhhhh, great for messing around with friends, use responsibly!
BatteryStatus (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751) nuff said
dcinobar (http://www.hpc.ru/soft/software.phtml?id=12540) get rid of the bottom taskbar, who needs it!? you might need to toggle in and out of landscape view after bootup just to get today plugs on bottom bar
NikiSimFix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1959449&postcount=4) hide sim contacts
SlideActions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359212) excellent app to end call on slider down action plus other nifty addons to help lock phone in call, etc.
PocketRar (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2003491&postcount=2) winrar, need i say more

ok, i've showed you mine, now you show me yours!!

:D

Resco explorer, registry & Keyboard (http://www.resco.net) - The best solution for it.
Schap's advanced configuration (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070) - Excelent tweaker
PDA light (http://freewareppc.com/misc/pdalight.shtml) - Small executable that turns the pocket into a flashlite, with several colors optionable.
Spc clone & plus 4 + transparent iconset (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com) - Again, the best solution for backups and Tabs.
nueLED 1.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=371391) - To customize the led colours.
pdg minimal dialer clean (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395086) - My favorite dialer skin at the moment.
icontact 0.72 + lycox diamond skin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396743) - The best contact manager, now even better.
Softick card export 0.8 (http://www.softick.com) - The only solution to use the pocket as a pen.
Slideactions (http://puna.net.nz/wm6/) - The greatest tweak exclusive for dual.
Wisbar advance 3 (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com) - My favorite skinner.
IGO8 + wm6.1 fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370884) - Map viewer, in 3D (I dont have GPS).
MyMobiler (http://www.MyMobiler.com) - My favorite "use pocket thru pc" solution.
Pim backup (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705) - The only solution for contact backups
TCMCP & Coreplayer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298126) - The best solution for video.

@TWolf can you supply the links also when they are found in this forum. I did a search for PDA light and didn't find the program, it did find a lot of threads on backlight settings though.

The ones I ussually install apart from ones already stated above:

- Total commander (http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm): file explorer and Registry editor
- Modaco NoData (http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/246171/new-free-utility/): switch off data connection while roaming
- FBTV (http://www.breukelman.net/FBTV/index.html): Dutch TV Guide
- Google Maps (http://www.google.nl/gmm/GoogleMaps.CAB)
- Sprite Backup (http://www.spritesoftware.com/), the name explains itself. Came with the install cd supplied with the device.
- Stay Unlock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1810102&postcount=2): prevents your exchange server to force a lock policy onto your device.
- Opera Mobile (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395121&highlight=opera): alternative browser which displays normal pages very good on your Nike.

WeatherPanel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=307781) free today weather plugin
cLaunch (http://sourceforge.net/projects/claunch/) tabbed today screen app launcher, oh and free too!
youtube player (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385227) free, but you'll need HSDPA connection (or maybe EDGE will do), but very good, and yes free!

First thing I always do is install esmertec java (or jbed) then opera mini (mini.opera.com) - far and away the best fastest browser.

SMS-Chat:
http://iwindowsmobile.com/threaded-sms-messaging.html

pretty sleek and simple threaded sms messaging app.
it also has a "notification" feature that displays the text message you receive on your screen :D
