2578 files in /Windows? Is this normal

Just doing a clear out of clutter on my device and noted 2578 files in the /Windows folder. Needless to say, it took a while to enumerate the directory via the Activesync link.

Should I expect to have as many files here? Seems like a lot of bloat which surely must slow the device down...

It depends on what you have installed... Although programs usualy have their own installation path, they allways place quite some «bloat» in Windows folder.
I don't know what you have installed but I'm using quite a clean ROM with almost nothing installed and my Windows folder has 1728 items...

it all depends on the ROM you using...as long as your phone doesnt lock up or anything, just keep using it...
