rlToday, SPB Weather, Today-agenda.
rlToday with direct links to alarms, agenda, emails, text-messages, missed calls, contacts, toggle ring/vibrate.

If I feel to restricted with touchflo 3D, I might go with one of these two...
Especially that WM7 skin looks sexy... if you choose the HTC today screen backrounds and customize the menus a bit, this might come very close to touchflo (maybe)... but much more customizable.

I would suggest: Share your themes or tell us what you are running on your today screen (and how)!!!

2. I've been themeing, skinning, hacking, moding, etc for a long time, and this is the first theme I can manage to enjoy from all aspects withought freezing, or screwing up. You'll see when you get yours. You wont skin it, I do how ever would like to customize the flow itself.

I don't mind the TouchFLO myself - but it is a bit sluggish at times.

I've tried SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 but it wasn't as slick and needed a bit of configuration to get it as functional as the default touchflo. If I found a good theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 that I liked (and works in VGA) I might be interested, but they all seem to be aimed at QVGA only or look average imho.

+1, I've always used SPB PocketPlus instead of HTC Home but I like Touch Flo 3D, a few problems though :

1. Can only map programs from program page, not files/folders as with P+ - hopefully someone can figure that out. Would be nice to have several tabs too for different catefories of apps...

2. No battery bar at the top

Mine will have WAD2, with Vista skin, including full start menu, and stuff like that, then on another page PocketPlus 4 with SPB Diary and Weather integrated,and then if its possible TF3D on another page too. But the swiping action of WAD2 might fuck up TF3D.

what version of rltoday are u using? can u provide links, as well to the skin u using? i downloaded the latest rltoday but when i install, its only a quarter of my screen, like qvga resolution. yours appear VGA resolution, is it a different installation file, or some setting i'm missing?

Thanks nice looking theme. Took the liberty of changing the skin.xml to do some minor changes in fonts and programs to suit my diamond in case anyone is interested. Just unzip and copy and replace skin.xml in the direcory program files\rltoday\full diamond.
Note this is just a cosmetic change and all thanks and credit to Keon-ronse.

Edit. Forgot to mention I only use the top half i.e rltoday. For the rest I put them on a seperate screen using ultimate launch so that the rltoday theme can be longer.

I also agree with you. I've been playing with my Diamond for the last 5 days and I'm happy with it.
There are (for now) a couple of things I would like:
- Ability to have more than one appointment in the 'Home' screen (calendar);
- Ability to choose other cities in the 'Weather' screen (for instance, I live in Funchal [Madeira-Portugal] and there are only 3 cities for Portugal - Lisbon, Oporto and Amadora)

My calendar items always pop up, and SPB shell provides app. launching and quick dialing via the soft buttons. Wanted it clean and minimal.

I did remove tf3d intinally and had an alternate home screen (see earlier in the thread). But after upgrading to the new rom and adding .net cf 3.5 (not sure if it did anything or if it was just the rom) TF is just fast enough for me to enjoy it, and IT IS a useful and friendly interface. I don't get into wm6.1 anymore. Not needed.

Has someone been able to get the original HTC home displayed right in VGA..? I mean the size to fit like the QVGA would but ofcoarse ALOT sharper with the VGA quality..? I know some other NEW VGA HTC device that was just released has the original HTC home in VGA and displaying properly. If someone can rip that we would be in good shape.

I must admit, that I am not that fit with skins...here my problem:

I installed SPB Mobile Shell on my German Diamond. Mobile Shell is also in German. I disabled TouchFlo3D and made Mobile Shell to run. Fantastic. After that, I tried to install a specific theme "WindowsFieldNowAppts.cab". After installing that theme, I am not able to see it :-(

Question: Do this skins published in this thread only works on English Diamonds?

I tried all day yesterday...unfortunately no success....

Can anybody help me?

I agree too - TF3D is pretty; very pretty. And with Dutty's new ROM, I have no more worries about speed/performance because it is 'insanely' BLAZING FAST. If speed/performance is the only issue with TF3D for you, do try Dutty's ROM.

Have you tried Diamond TF3D config? It lets you change the order of the tabs, remove any of them, and has some neat tricks and tweaks.

Is indeed for QVGA. You can change that in skin.xml

I liked Touchflo, more for the effort than the final product but after I showed it to all my friends I realised that there was nothing about it that was actually useful. Everything I did (that I did regularly) took far more key presses than just reverting back to spb diary and the windows mobile interface.

I won't list it out, because it's all been well documented but I've ditched touchflo today and I feel relieved.

wad2 = Wisbar advance? Looks interesting, how is it for fuctionality?

I'm using SPB Pocket Plus, in auto-hide mode so that it hides away most of my other plugins.

The only plugins I've left visible are Pocket Player and DevState 1.5, which I'm using as a simple Today task manager. It works great, if I want quick access to running tasks, without using the stylus, I just have to hit the Home key. For more screens, see my signature.

I got fed up with the TF3D slowness and random actions so i went for something simpler...

I have S2U2 for the lock screen.
The clock is "Pocket Digital Clock" http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/pdc
The icons are "Easy Today Launcher" www.loffactory.webs.com
I did have to adjust the Today screen colours to get rid of the horizontal lines though.
Lock Device invokes S2U2 and My Phone launches Total Commander...

I don't need any messaging or calendar items because of S2U2.
The phone seems faster without TF3D
One slide and a tap for most apps... Bit like the iPhone, but without the issues!
