Hi,
I accidentally put actual file instead of lnk into StartUp folder on WM 6.1. Now I can not delete the file becouse it's already launched and it's not even showing in list of running programs. How do I get rid of it in StartUp folder?
Thanks,
G

it might be running in the background. try using a task manager kinda program to see running processes (e.g. wktask (http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm)) and you should be able to kill it and then delete it

or rename it from somethingsomething.exe to somethingsomething.exe.bak
and softreset

Or you can usually cut the link or file in startup and then paste it somewhere else. Reset, then you can delete it.

not if it's not a shortcut but he places the exe file itself in startup in this case it will be locked and cant be cut

Can you rename the file to something not ".exe" and then reset the phone? Would it work? I've read somewhere around here someone suggesting that. After soft reset, in theory, you should be able to delete the file.
