Hi Guys,

This is my first contribution to xda so a big thanks to all those chefs who contributed a lot to this forum.

This ROM is similar to Alex's Ultra Clean ROM. I uploaded the ROM and the ROM Folders for all you chefs out there. It's been stripped down to the most basic ROM and removed almost everything except for HTC Device Drivers. ROM itself is only 44MB.

To cook, simply build everything inside the Packages folder (containing only the required DLL and Drivers). Packages-Optional folder contains all applications that were removed, and ready for cooking.

I also included some packages that I ported from Diamond, still a lot to do. I saw some implementation of ATI drivers as well so maybe we can port it Kaiser. :)

No tweaks were made in this ROM.

The ROM is based on RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.28.405.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.16.25_Ship and has been tested only with 3.28 HardSPL.

Update 1:

For the Program Memory, it only shows around 85mb. This is because of dynamic PP. Please refer to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390471. If set to static, it will show up around 91mb. Play around with the PP.

Update 2:

Minor release. HTC Lite v1.1

1. Separated PhoneSetting package from PhoneCanvas. PhoneSetting allows you to see the tab PIN, Band, PIN2, Time Zones, Data and More, under Settings->Phone.

2. Separated the package for NewMailAccount.

3. Removed some packages from SYS. (See SYS-Deleted)

4. SMSInboxThreading package - Inside is the file SMSInboxThreading which you can rename to SMSInboxThreading.exe. This will allow you to enable/disable SMS Threading.

To use, simply delete the folders OEM, OEM-Deleted, Packages, Packages-Optional, and SYS and replace with the v1.1 ROM Folders file.

Update 3:

Minor release. HTC Lite v1.2

Managed to get more free space out of this ROM.

To cook, use the kitchen from Alex, then replace the OEM and SYS folder with this package. Make sure to use the official HTC ROM 3.28 WWE when coooking. Don't forget to replace the BaseROM and ROM folder with the original WWE when cooking.

3.29 is the dopod version. It should be basically the same thing. The 3.28 is the official WWE kaiser rom.

For now I'm sticking first with WWE versions. There shouldn't be that much difference except for the applications bundled with it.

Basically, dynamic PP eats up the program memory but if you try to make it static, like 6MB, you will get 91mb Program Memory.

Benchmark results wouldn't be that good since I didn't tweak it. My intention for releasing this is for everyone to have a clean ROM Folders for all you chefs to customize.

Does anyone have the rom folders for the tilt wm6.1 from one of the leaks? I need the dump files. I would dump it myself, but my computer just wont execute the app or the command prompt just flashes for a second.

Don't worry about it. I made a post last week in the thread designated towards rom dumping and reconstructing, but with all the other posts it just got ignored. So I thought I should try this thread since there aren't too many posts.

Ok so far everything seems to work OK.

I used the rom folders and kaiserkitchen to build my own rom.

I left SYS in-tact without modifications.

On XIP I only changed CacheTime for GPRS disconnection to 180seconds instead of 600 seconds - I added registry tweak for automatic disconnection on idle time for GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA in rgu from Packages\Devices.

I replaced HTC Home plugin and the task manager. Most of the normal day to day stuff is in-tact in the form of packages whilst unused applications were left in the optional packages and not built into rom.

Rom runs fine with all applications I use including TomTom.

Now.... I wonder where the pads (pin pad, dial pad etc) are hidden?

Also... how to remove the default calculator completely?

Hi andret, the dial pad are located at PhoneCanvas folder. Also look at SmartDialing and VideoTelephony.

To remove the calculator, go to the SYS folder. Don't forget to modify initflashfiles.dat as well.

Picture Viewing ...... Pictures & Video is working perfectly but no camera.

SMS ....... Working 100% . Just excellent.

Texting with Keyboard ...... Not working , added the tilt keyboard fix.

Voice Command ...... Not installed . I added one for myself ..

Well since this is a lite rom it should move very fast . Been installing apps and thus far it is holding its own.Internet explorer is not working past the first page. But opera is browsing perfectly.

I noticed no splash screen when it boots as my splash was still there. Guess this seems to be present in a lot of kasier roms.

Bluetooth is working flawlessly. Good sound quality and conecton speed. The beaming also worked flalwlesly. Even tried to beam to a phone that never works it reconized phone but as usual wouldnt beam . Beamed multiple filles in and out of phone.

OK no MMS .. ... Well it is a lite rom but no MMS ..... GPS worked even with the clouds , thundeer & lighting and the rain ....

I added Microsoft Voice Command US PPC v1.60.4622.0 working flawlessly.

Now for you folks who ask the same question 100 times. NO !!!!!! The MMS/SMS 1.2M hack is not working as MMS isnt working.

So if you want to complain about a rom remember if you don't speak up and tell the cook what you do and don't like then don't say anything at all. The cooks here are doing this out of appreciation , admiration and love of the art of cooking. If you think it is so easy then put out your own rom.

Now remember I tested this on a at&t tilt with t-moible simcard . A lot of these problems may not occur on all phones. So if you have a different phone please post your findings.

I noticed the bug when making a call or recieveing a call there is a slight annoying click in the bluetooth on connection that bothers me and its here. I wonder why its doing that .

This is a wonderful lite rom that can be used for a person who wants to add what they want and install it how they feel it should be . Good job dlee69 Guess another cook is emerging from the xda ...

I hope my review of this rom helps many in their questions as I tried to cover as much space as possible. If you feel something is missing please make a note of it so for future note my reviews will be as full as possible.

And a note to gambit For testing rom after rom with me ...... I hope you get a Kaiser soon to test these roms with me as well ....

To remove the calculator, go to the SYS folder. Don't forget to modify initflashfiles.dat as well.

Lots of patience! :D Figuring out which files goes to which took me only a week or two, but the daunting tasks of editing the RGU and creating the scripts to automatically split and organize it also took about two weeks.

I've cooked ROM using your folders and included some essential (in my opinion) progs like Camera and QuickGPS. So everyone who don't know how or have no free time can use it. All copyrights go to dlee69.
ROM is still lite and about 124Mb is available after flash. Pagepool size is still 6Mb, as in original ROM. Tested with 3.28 SPL and 1.65.16.25 (original) and 1.65.20.29 Radios and it works OK. SPL, radio and splash screen are not includued.
This ROM still has all original HTC ROM problems like no cleartype in landscape, freezes with HardSPL and large pp etc.
I also suggest to use Advanced Config or KaiserTweak to make it a bit faster.

The shortcut is actually created in:

OEM\OEM_Lang_0409\initflashfiles.dat

Look for:

Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Organizer"):-File("Calculator.lnk","\Windows\calc.lnk")

And remove/change the line to get the link out.

Thanks, dlee69. Yeah, I figured it wasn't contained in any rgu or provxml, but I figured I'd try and ask. IIRC, I tried the "Redirect"="\\Windows\\CommManagerLink.exe" and it didn't do anything (looking to achieve the 'diamond' icon look). Though, now that I think about it... I think I just specified "CommManagerLink.exe" and not the whole path. I'll have to check it out and get back with you.

UPDATE: Still a no go. I can use "Hide"=dword:00000001 to hide the icon. However, I just cannot change the icon for the life of me. Odd thing is, the 9 button Kaiser Comm Manager worked in changing the icon in Alex's kits. Tried that exact package and it still doesn't change. I'm completely lost on this one.

Ok, sounds good. I'll try to cook one based on the updated one when it's ready. If I have no luck, I'll package up my packages folder maybe, maybe it's something in there. Then again, I've successfully cooked a 3.02 build using the same packages with alex's 3.02 HTC kit.....

Basically, dynamic PP eats up the program memory but if you try to make it static, like 6MB, you will get 91mb Program Memory.

I too had the same problem. I tried a few different PP sizes, with no luck. Atleast now I know it wasn't just me. I'm wondering if maybe something is missing? I have successfully cooked roms based on other rom folders (Alex's cooking kits), but no dice here..... Dlee69 was supposed to release a new 1.1 that had everything, not sure if he ever did, I gave up cooking my own (time issues), but if he does, I'll give it another shot......

Thanks for the offer. I guess the biggest thing is speed. I have been flashing like crazy to checkout roms and poking around. and DK's roms seem to be the fastest bare rom. But don't know how everyone else is slow. Such as when you slide the phone. Dk's rom is lighting quick, Although I like your base I am wondering if there is something I am missing that would allow for the kind of speed you see in DK's for yours.
