The reload the homescreen option is ONLY for the forecast panels. Your weather will update, even if you turn that off. And yes, the info on the clock panel IS just another place to put it :)

Well my app is specifically designed for the Excalibur. I am currently working on NRG Chome MINI Weather which is slimmed down a lot, and will only have ONE layout.. the 6 day layout. It will also display current temp and today's high lows in the Clock panel. But the cab size is 1/4 of what chome weather currently is. The app is done, I just have to debug it a little bit today as I walk around..... ;)

CHome Weather existed before you played with TestUIPlugin... I was using the welcome center panels. While you made a GREAT discovery and it made Chome Weather way better, I think it's a little too much to say it would have never existed. But, THANK YOU for making that discovery :):p

Hi NRG,

I was using your weather panel 1.0 until recently, which used to display the weather icon in the clock panel along with the day of the week. Yesterday I installed the latest version 3.1 which does not have the weather icon and the day of the week. Could you please add those features back to the latest version? See the attached image for what I am talking about.

Hey i think i set it to the 6 day forecast but i get 4...it looks amazing and i'm not complaining but i'm just wondering if this is right? check the screenie. Btw if you see anything wrong with it, please let me know lol it looks perfect to me and gives me all the essential info that i need from weather...plannning on updating it every morning when i wake up through wifi

The funny thing is that when i change homescreen layout it does not bring the 6day forcast back. I tried rebooting and changing layouts and nothing. The way I have got around this is re-installing it.

you will need to find and install sktools lite (free) and use the notifications option in the program and clear out the notification that points to that program .

This baby really ROCKS, now that it updates hourly like it's supposed to, and without me having to reboot the phone to get the daily forecast updates. It does slow down the phone just a tad, but I can live with it. (Actually, I'm not sure if it's NRG Weather or Dashwire that's doing the slowdown; I'll hash it out eventually.)

I didn't take any chances on the install, I completely uninstalled the previous version prior to installing the new one.

Answering my own question :

I installed NRG 3.1 on my BJII with WM 6.1 and it appears to work fine. I had to use the CHome Configurator ver 1.0.5 to customize the sliding panels to my taste. I just need to figure out how to get back the Default "bold" font in the panels. I'm using the Default font, not the LCD font. If anyone knows how to get the bold fonts back on the panels, please let me know.

EDIT: Oh well... I did completely read the last page of the thread and did not realized that there was a new version called MinWeather 1.0. I took a "quick" look and assumed that 3.1>1.0 Arrrrg - It took me two days to get 3.1 working... I'm moving on to try the "newer" 1.0 MinWeather on the BJII. I'll make sure to read whole thread this time.

I uninstalled the program and it seems that it accidentally deleted my standard sliding panel home screen layout.

Have any of you guys experienced this? any ideas on how to get it back?

Additionally I received a notification window stating that "weather.exe" couldn't be found but I already saw on a previous post that using SKtools lite will help with this.

Any help/info that you guys can provide will be great.

Could be a glitch in Yahoo Weather providing info to device? Have you tryed a couple more times i use ODSHOWeather "amazing app" and if i haven't got a net connection and try to connect it says no connection, it takes a couple of trys to get the update.

Ok, so my weather thing is also stuck at 30% downloading, and I am unable to connect to internet radio stations with the phone now. I have tried updating several times, and rebooting the phone. When the phone comes back on, it still says 30% Downloading. How do I get this to update, or uninstall? Also, when trying to open web pages, this thing says "The remote party has ended the connection". wtf ?? Is the weather app interfering with everything else?

You need to remove all "security" on your phone. Use an application called SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe and run it. Install the cabs that claim to remove "security" you can find! lol Then.. try again :)

I have installed this on the Ricky/Stylez Re-Made Rose ROM. On the weather panel I get the temp and a red circle with white X in it and on the forecast page i just get the request to update.

Any ideas?

I'm using a HTC Touch Diamond and it seems that the program doesn't run with my mobile. However, I've a problem when I uninstalled this program. After uninstall and reset the mobile, sometimes (about every 10 minutes), there's a Error notification on Today screen : "Impossible to run \program files\nrg\chomeweather\weather.exe" .
How can I do to make disappear this error ?

I don't use Touch 3D in my Touch DIamond because it's poorly slow, that's why I try this program, but it doesn't run as I think, so I must unistall but with a problem. That's the hell where I'm :rolleyes:

I want to ask some questions : i'm using NRG Weather 3.0, it's really nice ! But when I use "CHome Configuration Tool" to add some panels to my Homescreen, after I save the configuration, the weather panel disappears (I can still see the forecast panel). I tried to reboot, but it won't appear again. So what's the solution for this ???
And can someone please tell me the differents between NRG Weather and NRG MiniWeather ? Is NRG Weather stopped developing ?

Hi, sorry if this is a repeat. I searched but came up with no answer. Does 3.1 not allow for changing the glassy panel color? It has the option listed in the "weather options" after you install the cab file, but after you change the option and reset it stays with the clear glass sliding panel.

It's not for CHome on PPC WM Proffesional, it's for Smartphone WM Standard, so no wonder it's broken something, look for Titanium Weather as i'm sure will be one in the rez of your device.

Guess I am in the wrong thread. I too have a Samsung Jack running Windows Mobile 6.5. When I first install 3.1 I choose layout option 4 and then choice 3. I tell it yes I want the weather background. Everything looks perfect but I only have the forecast pane. It will auto update just fine. When I choose a different layout option I get a red X and then when I update I get a 100% beside the red x. When I go to the pane all I get is a nice picture of a sun. I guess this is not suppose to run on the Jack?:eek:

I've experienced same error. Question mark has no right side double qoute on the error line

If your locale is not in latin area you may meet this error because degree char is not shown properly. I attached utf-8 converted Weather.mscr. Try this.
