Hi, I find the alarm soft included in WM5 very poor.
I would like this features: ability to set more than one alarm, to select in what days the alarm should go off, and to select any mp3 as the alarm sound.
does something like this exist, and as free software?
thanks

Try this - it's commercial but very good.

SPAlarm (http://sourceforge.net/projects/spalarm/)
Free and Open-Source for Smartphone (WM Standard). The UI is a bit lacking, but functionality it's does exactly what it needs to. I've used it for years to play an MP3 to wake me up without issue.
Create multiple alarms with different types of recurrence (daily, weekly, certain days, etc.).
Like I said, the UI is a bit rough, but just google for some themes/skins for the program and you'll find some better options (skins are defined via XML anyway, so it's pretty simple to make your own).
Works fine on my Typhoon (both original WM2003 ROM and WM6 ROM). Having some troubles getting it to work on a new T-Mobile Shadow though.
