> NOOBs:
There are instructions which should get you started in no time, ready to test ROMs. :) The whole process to getting ready to use ROMs might take 30-40 minutes for a noob.
IF YOU CBF READING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SPENDING 30 MINUTES, PISS OFF. Instructions are HERE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=399827).
> WARNING BEFORE FLASHING:
While most people have not had any problems, a small but consistent number have reported lockups with various ROMs, requiring either soft or hard resets, depending on the conflicting program.
Have backups of your data, and be prepared that something you install might break the ROM you have installed.
UPDATE: It seems like lockups are possible even with (practically) nothing installed - while they do seem to be less likely the less you install, apparently there does not seem to be any P3600i immune to this issue, whether full of programs or not. Note that the newer ROMs seem to be more stable.

> HOW TO MODIFY (HEX EDIT) A ROM FOR THE P3600i:
This is actually quite easy, and takes all of 30 seconds (literally).
Please note that not all ROMs will work using this method (and thus they will never be able to run on the P3600i).
Download HxD (http://mh-nexus.de/en/) and install.
Download the ROM you would like to modify.
Open RUU_signed.nbh in HxD
You will see a whole bunch of numbers. Look for a number 04 all by itself, usually (but not always) on the 6th or 7th line (offset 00000060).
Change the 00 in front of the 04 to 01, so that the numbers will now read 01 04. Below are two examples (each from a different ROM):
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj227/joncgde2/hexeditpictureforxdadevguide.jpg
Click the save button and exit HxD. HxD makes a backup file (in this case it will be RUU_signed.bak) - delete this, since it is not needed.
Test it out!
If the ROM boots to the today screen (and does not get stuck on the boot screen), upload the ROM and submit details so I can add it to the list. Instructions are below.

OK to keep it short, things have become a mess lately with all the successes and failures of flashing the phone. To keep everything neat and tidy I thought I would create this thread so that ALL P3600i ROMs that have been tested and work can be housed in one nice place for everyone to see, instead of trawling through heaps of threads.
I will maintain this first post and keep updates of all ROMs that are made available for the P3600i.
After ajajaj's success with Mary v3.7 Lite, I also got the SuperLite variant working without any issues, it gives 28MB free (with nothing loaded of course :p) but might be something a few of you might like... so here you go :)
NOTE: don't upload to rapidshare cos it really is shithouse... use mediafire

If noone has replied it's because the anser is in the first post and asking that question two posts later means that you probably didn't read enough.

I am now running Mary lite (no touchflo) but find I cannot sync to my Outlook.
Other than that it is really quick and immediately after boot I have 30 meg free Operating.....very impressive....now if only I can get the bloody thing to sync.

thanks for the links amanx, i'll try them out soon - can't right now cos i'm a lil busy exams and such
some questions though: the yaka lite ROM you posted is v3.11 - the one i tested was 3.12... maybe that's why mine didn't work
also your PDAVIET is v32... isn't that like 5 versions older than v37? do people still use old ROMs when newer ones are available? :p
hehe in any case i'll put them in the 1st post once someone else can confirm they are working, thanks for uploading them
also, can you give me links to the original threads? so people can look to the old threads for more info on the ROMs
cheers

OK..after trying all day to find a fix to the BT problem I have given up. There are other issues with this ROM as well and I suspect they may all be Registry issues.
First one is that Advanced Configuration actually does nothing. You make changes yet they don't stay that way. I tried half a dozen times to "Not show SIM card contacts" yet it just wouldn't work.
I also tried to change the backlight settings so that when on External Power the backlight stayed on...yet it always defaults to turn off in 5 minutes, This means you cannot shange anything.
The good things...I love the Dialer, keyboard etc...all from the Touch Diamond I think.
Massive problem though with BT not being able to find other devices...no matter what settings or hard resests etc.
So I gave up and loaded PDAViet 3.2 and BT works...it seems like all the other little grips are OK...I will see how it goes over the next day or so as I am sick of re-flashing...lol
Never thought I would say that about my P3600i.

cheers mate, that should make things a lot easier to find for all :-) hopefully we can eventually get our own P3600i subforum, hehe
And if it didnt work I can go back to the original wwe rom?
i don't see why not... just make sure you know of a ROM that DOES work... don't want to need to flash back and then find no ROMs that WILL flash on your device :p
but i know i've tested ROMs that haven't worked... and i've flashed back to working ones without any issues
Please note to anyone following this thread I'll be a bit slack over the next 5 days while exams wind up, so I won't be updating the 1st post or anything... but only for 5 days until my exams finish - after that I'll update everything and we can keep step up the challenge of getting all Trinity ROMs working :D
In the meantime, please keep reporting on ROMs you test that work and don't work... when at the end of the week I will update the thread with all the posts I see.
also, can you PLEASE post links to the original threads for the ROMs you report, either working or not.. that makes it much easier when I can link back to them for people to get more info
cheers

I did find that with Mary Super Lite...although I thought it may have been due to a conflict with S2U2. Anyway I found it to be too lite for me so I tried PDAViet 3.7......good ROM but the BT issue killed it for me.
I am now on PDAViet 3.2 (since 9pm last night) and I have it configured the way I want. It runs Tomtom really well, S2U2 works...I haven't received any MMS yet (and I rarely send them) so I don't know if that works. I don't make Video calls so that isn't an issue for me. I have all my programs loaded on the device and still have 175.57 meg free Storage and 24.92 meg free for Program memory.
So far it is looking good.

You may end up waiting for a very long time then....all WM6.1 ROMs are ports from newer devices which are modified to suit the Trinity (P3600, D810 etc) and as there are a lot more of them than the P3600i that is the way they will be cooked.
As we have found there are certain WM6.1 builds which work and some don't. As we go through and find the better ones we will get to a point where we have a good stable ROM....until the next best thing comes along...lol.
Stick with it....note down what bugs or problems there are and lets see if amongst those in here who are much cleverer than me can come up with some fixes.

After flashing my p3600i with the PDAViet ROM everything is looking good - apart from my email doesn't seem to work any more. Previously it was receiving email from the Three network every five minutes, now I can't get it to connect; it just says that "Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device".
I have checked my account settings and verified that i can connect to the internet via Planet 3.
Anyone else out there on the Three network having issues with this?

Sorry...I am with 3 but I don't bother getting my e-mail onto the phone these days. I have enough coming in on my work Blackberry so more on my P3600i would just be a pain.
Which PDAViet ROM did you flash? If it is 3.7, try version 3.2 I am finding it to be much better....apart from a few minor problems.

Unfortunately I need to have it. The PDAViet 3.2 is also a pretty good ROM, for what I do I am not sure if either of them is faster than the other so I am quite happy so far.

Hey guys
I've also encountered several problems using the MARY rom,
but when I've installed the MARY super lite, all the problems seemed to vanish.
I'm working with this rom for about a week, and i must say it's very very fast and stable. no hard-reset issues whatsoever and no BT problems that i can put my finger on...
Cheers,

ok, but when i install the mui the problems begin, so i called to the company that sale the mui and they told me that my licence is ok for 6.1 but the trinity doesnt have official 6.1 and the mui doesnt work well with some cocked roms, so i asked if its in all the cocked and she told me that there is some cocked roms that their mui work great with no problems... so i think that my solution for me is to try all the roms... and untill now i tried all the roms in this tread.

Unfortunately not all the Trinity 6.1 cooked ROMS work with the P3600i. As more are tested and become available you may find one that works. Until then all we have is right here.
You may be better going back to WM6 if you really need to read Hebrew, at least till some more ROMs become available for testing.

I did a little investigation and the following Operating systems seem to be the ones which work on the P3600i
5.2.19209.1.0.2 (PDAVIET V32)
5.2.19199.1.0.0 (Mary V3.7)
5.2.19949.1.2.0 (PDAVIET V37)
5.2.19213 (no more detail) Yk 3.11
We know that some of the other which don't work are also 5.2.19213 base but there are also quite a few more in the 6.1 ROM collection which are yet to be tried (based on the above build numbers).
For the life of me I cannot figure out how to change the settings to try any of them, so anyone who can make the changes.....lets see what does and doesn't work.
With doing that and the work Jon is doing maybe we can get a good collection of working ROMs that will suit everyones needs.

Hey guys,
Once again thx for all the hard work been contributed over the last 6 months of hell!
I have tried all roms listed on post 1 by big man, joncgde2!!! Thank you!
I love Mary 3.7 SL THE BEST. This gave me all the feature I needed.
Over a week of Mary 3.7 SL I have encounter one major problem:
Phone occasionally hang (usually twice a day). SR will stuck at window load up screen. HR is the only way. Note, have tried re-download and reinstall rom.
I guess that's similar to "Mario_R_83".
There are too many pros:
1. Super fast! Official rom going into /Windows takes over 15 secs. Mary = 2 secs LOL :)
2. Super clean
3. Loan TomTom fast.
4. O2plus actually works with "sound" profile. This unable to work in the official rom, as this causes constant SR. I like this sound profile particularly the 'random' ringtone feature. (I can't work out call surprise lol)
5. After Oxio CloseApps give me over 28-30mb free memory :)
6. Going to Start > Settings is a bomb. No lag like official rom :)
This alone gave me many joys. However, the hang problem gets quite annoy as I need to install everything again and again everytime it hangs, as a HR is required.
Anyone else share the same pain as me and "Mario_R_83"

I have been using YK 3.11 for 3 days. First of all, it is a working ROM with good Chinese support. Unfortunately, my machine was stuck at the HTC logo screen after SR an hour ago. Finally, I had to use the final resort - HR, but all my new data was gone.
I don't know if it is my bluetooth headset problem. I am using Sony VGP-BRM1BT headset. The voice quality is bad (sound was dropping) with the YK ROM. The quality was quite good with the original ROM. I am using the 1.5 Radio.

I've experimented with Mary and PDAviet for some time now and also had the problem of getting stuck on SR after running the OS for several days. For me, the only way to recover from this was to do a HR and lose all data - good thing I run a daily PIMbackup on my phone.
I've narrowed this problem to some SWs that I installed on these OS'. I noticed that the following 2 apps consistently caused my phone to get stuck after SR over time: PocketMax PhoneAlarm v2.0 and SPB Mobile Shell v2.1. I have since installed a new PDAViet OS and have not installed these 2 apps. For more than 1 week, my OS has been running very stable and have not gotten stuck after SR. I wonder if there are other SWs that may have caused similar problem for other people. May want to experiment with a fresh OS without installing some of your favorite apps.

I am running PDAVIET 3.2 (as I need BT) and have no problems at all. The only apps I run are S2U2, GroupSMS, Quick Position, HTC Home Customiser, OPMON and Tomtom7.
I have 165meg of free Storage and 20.85meg of Operating Ram on my phone right now and I have not done a SR for over a week and the last time I did a HR was when I reflashed my phone after trying the Yaka light Rom 10 days ago.
Overall I am really happy, but would still like to see some development on ROMs for the P3600i.
I really don't have the time to learn how to Cook a ROM right now, so hopefully someone else out there will come up with something good soon that I can try.

I have been using all of the roms listed, and each seems to has the same problems, hang on the startup after SR when the phone is kind of stuck running some software, even though on different roms they stuck at different software. All the marys will stuck if you used s2u2, opera browser 9.5, and lite version stuck on mapking (GPS software), yaka will also stuck on opera 9.5 and at one time stucked when performing mortscript run to change today plugin, the weather panel, so I dont know if its really the mortscript or marsware weatherpanel, and pdaviet37 and pdaviet32 stuck on unknown (but possibly opera browser too), therefore, you guys should add to list not to install opera browser 9.5 until there are a really stable version of opera browser, in addition to the situation explained above

well sorry it took me so long, was busy (physically and mentally) with work, and just couldn't bring myself to do this until now (even though it's only taken 10 minutes... go figure :p)
So according to Olipro's advice I was to generate a dump from the phone at the point it freezes up using MTTY... I've done that, and can't make heads or tails of it... I don't want to msg Olipro and annoy him yet again so maybe we can take NiaX up on the offer of help?
Anyway, here is the log dump for anyone that might be able to get some use out of it (attached to this message).
I'll send a msg to NiaX and see if we can get some feedback on what the issue is...
Cheers

I did some experiments on PDAViet (build 19213). After using it for some time, this OS would hang on boot screen after a SW. In the past, I would have to do a HR and lose all my data to get out of this. Yesterday, when my phone hung on the boot screen, I pulled out the battery, my 8G microSD card and the SIM card. Without re-inserting the SIM card and the microSD card, my phone was able to boot up properly. Then I shut down my phone again and put all the cards back and I was able to use my phone as normal.
Today, my phone hung again after a SW, I decided to just remove the SD card only and not the SIM card this time. After this, my phone was able to boot up OK. And then I pulled out the battery again and put the SD card back in and it was able to boot up properly and work as normal.
I have no understanding of wm6 at all, but I wonder if the recent hangs reported by so many on this forum is related to the driver for the SD card or SIM card?
Cheers,
Robert

I tried Karmba's latest Diamond ROM tonight as he has a P3600i version for download. It is like the other later ROM's in that it flashes OK but will not load past the 2nd splash screen.
it would be really nice to figure out why this is happpening. It must be something in the OS as it appears to be only certain OS versions that will work.
Bakc to the PDAVIET32.....
Luckily it ony takes me about 10 minutes to get back to my fully loaded system...I have flashed and re-flashed so many times over the last few weeks it is pretty quick now.

OK I flashed PDAViet 3.7 last night and ran the BT fix and it connects fine with my car kit and BT headset.
Initial impressions....love the Diamond theme, I installed HTCHome customiser and have changed just a few minor things (coloured Icons and trasnparency).
I think this ROM is a little slower than PDAVIET36 but time will tell.
One annoyance is that in advanced configuration, no matter how I set the "show sim contacts" it doesn't save and on each re-set it goes back to the default of showing them.
More info as I learn about it.

I agree with you about the performane of this ROM. It seemed a little slower, but so far appears to be stable (need to run it for more than a week to confirm though). Regarding advanced config, try installing the latest one. I had problem using the one shipped with the build when I tried to changed some connection related parameters. After I install the latest version, I was able to change those parameters.

Well so far I am reasonably happy with this ROM, once you get used to it it doesn't seem as slow anymore (subjective I know).
I haven't had the chance to re-load Advanced Configuration but I did check and mine is showing as the latest version...I will over-write it and see if that fixes the "hide Sim contacts" issue.
There were a couple of other cabs I tried that don't seem to work either...one of them being coloured battery % cab......not really sure why it doesn't work. I could always have a look at the reg entries....but I really don't know what I am doing there so maybe not....lol.
Tomtom 7 works well on it as does S2U2.
More after the weekend when I can play with it a bit more.

Mary 3.7SL stuck in Avantgo with Activesync stucked.
Tried your method but no use... had to hard reset :(
I did some experiments on PDAViet (build 19213).

Yeah...I was running PDAVIET v35 for quite a long time and a few times I was able to recover using this method, but eventually, there's always a lock that I can never recover from. Eventually, if I run this build long enough (about 7-10 days), I would have to do a HR.
Two days ago, I upgraded to PDAVIET v37. Since the upgrade, I had a lock on SR, but was able to recover using this method. I'm not optimistic that I can run this build for more than 10 days without a HR. :(

I'm going back to the original firmware :(
I've tried mary and pdaviet and yk's
pdaviet was the best, but something happend (ie.mobile hanged and had to do a soft reset) and even a reflash wouldnt allow the mobile to boot. it kept hanging when the windows mobile 6.1 setup screen should appear. you can see the windows 6.1 green title screen, windows start menu icon and the connection icon at the top, but it is all locked up from there.
mary's died on me today. I was taking photos, then one photo froze. I did a soft reset and my phone was wiped. The phone automatically did a clean re-install from flash rom, thus I lost contacts, photos etc (yes contacts all backed up, but still I lost photos).
This has happened to me at least 4 -6 times over the weeks while playing around with these roms. There is something wrong with the roms imo, cause the phone hanging and then a soft reset should not cause the phone to wipe everthing and start from scratch again.
I dont know enough about all of this, but maybe the hack has side effects, thus why other roms wont work. ie. maybe a program / something writes to that address space causing the phone to restore from ROM. in marys and compatible roms, this code is only called on certain conditions, thus why it happens sometimes..... incompatible roms call it at the start, thus why the phone hangs on the startup screen....
I dont know, I see schaps.. maybe I'll give it ago. but I'm very sure there is something wrong if while taking photos, the phone crashes and restores the o/s from ROM on restart.
BTW: other times it has been tomtom that has caused the phone to freeze and do a auto ROM restore.

The issue is with IGO8, you actually need to change the system cache values using Advanced configuration to get IGO8 to work on any of the Trinity phones.
Problem is in the available memory provided in cache to keep it running.
I tried it and while I was able to get it to start and navigate OK, if I received a call the phone would crash, requiring a soft re-start. It was just way too memory hungry. The new Tomtom7 works wonderfully though. I doesn't minimise TT when you receive a call, it mutes the voice instructions but leaves the navigation screen up so you can still see where you need to turn. In TT6 it not only muted the program but minimised it and you needed to tap the icon to bring it back up again....annoying when you are trying to drive.

I'm on PDAVIET v37 and have been using it for the past 10 days without having to do a HR. However, every 2-3 days I'm running into a series of hang on boot up screen after a SR (sometimes immediately after the phone is rebooted, the screen just displays garbage graphics.) However, so far I'm able to recover from all of these hangs by using one or combination of the method below:
1. Remove the battery and wait for several minutes before turning on the phone
2. Pull the SIM card out and reboot without it
3. Pull the SD card out and reboot without it
It appears these hang on boot occur on a regular interval, about 2-3 days for me and when it happens, I can get several of these hangs on the same day which is terribly annoying. It's really painful dealing with this problem in this way and I hope someone can fix this problem soon. I'll give Schap v4.3 a try if I'm finally forced to do a HR or get fed up dealing with this problem.
BTW, is WM6.1 still considered a beta product?

I don't seem to be having too many dramas with my phone....I did notice the other day that the call button had stopped working so I did a SR and all was good again....Other than that I have been happily operating for nearly 2 weeks without any HR. Actually last time I did a HR was actually when I re-flashed to this ROM (PDAVIET37 with BT fix).
I am hoping to get a chance this weekend (maybe) or next weekend to dump PDAVIET39 and see what is in the external ROM.
It doesn't extract when you use the tools for changing the header so we cannot even try it (No BT) until this can be figured out.

hmm I don't know why people are having problems with their ROMs... I seriously have had NO issues with any ROM I have tested
it really must be something to do with individual programs... the people with problems really need to (if they can be bothered, or have the time) to just install one at a time, use their phone for a few days, then install another, etc. until they run into issues
also as for PDAVIET 39... some input would be good here... is it worth adding to the list? on the one hand I think yes, since it's a working ROM and the list is supposed to have working ROMs...
on the other hand I think that if it's really just more of the same with no real 'improvement' over v38 then it's just unnecessary? and perhaps this list can be a list of 'recommended' ROMs that represent something interesting, rather than just a whole lot of ROMs just for the sake of having them, even if they're not fully stable/useful

hmm I don't know why people are having problems with their ROMs... I seriously have had NO issues with any ROM I have tested
it really must be something to do with individual programs... the people with problems really need to (if they can be bothered, or have the time) to just install one at a time, use their phone for a few days, then install another, etc. until they run into issues
also as for PDAVIET 39... some input would be good here... is it worth adding to the list? on the one hand I think yes, since it's a working ROM and the list is supposed to have working ROMs...
on the other hand I think that if it's really just more of the same with no real 'improvement' over v38 then it's just unnecessary? and perhaps this list can be a list of 'recommended' ROMs that represent something interesting, rather than just a whole lot of ROMs just for the sake of having them, even if they're not fully stable/useful
what are your thoughts?
I vote for the Recommended ROMs.......working ones only from now on or the list of non-working will just get longer and longer.
I agree with Jon on the programs side as well, maybe if you are having problems with a ROM that others say is fine...list your program additions and lets see if anything obvious shows up.

Another thing, lately I had to do 3-4 hard resets in a day and then I got really frastrated and went back to Original WM6 (Aus Version). But it's too slow... LOL
So I went back to Mary lol
But going back to Original Rom, my radio revert back to 1.4xxxx! Is that normal? I reflash back to latest 1.5xxx with no problems...
Just curious that's all :)

I feel your pain! Every 1-2 days, I would get stuck on SR and sometimes it would take me 20-30 minutes before I can get the phone back working normally without doing a HR. This problem is so frustrating... But, I can't go back to WM6, like you said, it's soooo slow.
In a few days, I'm gonna try running PDAVIET v37 without installing any additional SW. Hope I can narrow down the SWs that are causing this problem for me.

Have you tried the BT fix that was used on PDAVIET37????
It may work.....worth a try.
Addition
I just checked and saw that the build on this is the same number (20226) as PDAVIET V38. That also had a BT problem in that when you tried to find BT devices it came up with a Hardware error. It may end up being only a change in the registry that fixes it, but the problem will be finding what setting needs to be changed.
I don't have the time this week to even have a look at it....maybe someone else is able to check.

When you changed the header did it strip out an extended ROM as well?
In PDAViet 38 & 39 there is an Extended ROM that includes a BT fix cab (at least in V39 anyway).
When I get home later on tonight I will post the BT fix from that ROM (I dumped it over the weekend) just to see if that works. Who knows....maybe changing the header effects the Extended ROM somehow?
PS The BT fix from the extended ROM is a vastly different size to Argyles BT fix, so I am assuming it is different.

I doubt it is the Hard SPL causing the problems, I don't need to HR or SR apart from when I try other ROMs.
It is a little hard to tell how it goes over an extended period as I seem to try a new ROM once a week....lol.
I suspect it may be more an issue with added software. I find that I need to add very little to the PDAViet V37 I am using. All I add is:
SDKCerts
Argyle BT fix
Personaliser
ELias Autohibernate
GPS Quick Position
Group SMS
HHCv10 Customiser
S2U2 V 1.05
TT7
If you were using Mary SL you may add a couple of other items but this is more than enough for me.
I currently have 170.13 meg free Storage and 21.78meg Program Memory...that is having run it since Sunday without doing any re-sets....no turning the phone off etc.
All I do is pop it into the cradle when I get home and it syncs my e-mail, contacts etc and charges up.
The only reason I am keep trying other ROMs is I am hoping to find the perfect ROM....I know....wishfull thinking...lol

OK I flashed the new PDAViet V4 and while it flashes OK there is still a BT problem with the P3600i.
I am back to Mary 3.7 SL with a few add-ons. I am no longer using S2U2 as I have a feeling it is causing some of the few resets I have had.
I had to load up Advanced config and HTC Task Manager as well as my normal Software.

I finally gave up on WM6.1 due to all the annoying crashes and HR and installed a stock HTC SEA English OS. It's a WM6 and slightly slower than WM6.1, but not by much. The biggest thing I missed from WM6.1 is the threaded SMS, but I found a much better threaded SMS app (Vito SMS-Chat v1.1) that works on WM6, so I'm happy for now. This OS has been running very stable for the past 4 days. I'll wait until tytn's wm6.1 build for P3600i is ready before experimenting with another OS again.

Haven't heard from Andy since! Anyone else?
What a mystery! Why some rom can load but some can't? Making it even more, some versions of a particular rom works but not the latter version...
Strange!!!
Sorry guys...I have been sick...but watching as well.
No luck with that BT patch either way. While the ROM dumped and I can see the programs it doesn't create them in a way that they can be ported....well I haven't found a way yet.
I also had some discussions with tynnyt about the differences. It may well be in the Kernel, so even though the version or XIP are shown as being the same, there are differences which make it unworkable.
I am sure tynnyt is still trying to figure it out but he has had another release of his Trinity Roms and is out of communication due to a Business Trip and planning. So we should be patient for now.
I tried flashing Karmba_a V10 and got a corrupt error message so I haven't tried V10.1fix yet. What is the BT error that comes up?

Hello,
I just wanted to comment that it is good to see a good WM6 ROM listed on the front page.
Prior to HardSPL 3.20, P3600i users could not flash their devices at all. Now that they can I think it is beneficial to list both WM6 and WM6.1 ROM's that are compatible on the first page.
I realise it already comes with WM6 but we used to flash our devices with cooked versions of WM6 for all sorts of reasons previously.
For example I don't really care if I have WM6.1 or not, but I was after a good looking, fast ROM with built-in VOIP & RDP... The Schap v4.30 ROM posted on the 1st page is very good (not fast) and fulfils most of my requirements albeit WM6...
I've had Schap v4.30 installed for 24 hours and my device has not locked up or reset like it normally does with all the WM6.1 ROM's.
Just my 2 cents :) Thanks to everyone keeping this thread alive & for your input.
**EDIT** My phone was switched off this morning with 90% battery power remaining. It appears even the Schap ROM causes issues on the P3600i. I guess there is no choice but to return to the stock ROM until an alternative stable ROM is found. Thanks!

so which ROM is the best? or/and working ROM?
I flashed the p3600 ROM, there is an error with NAND 128 as p3600i is NAND 256.
I hope there will be a new rom for NAND 256 with core 20270

Hi guys,
I have followed the instructions and successfully done a HARDSPL update, but when I try and do a ROM update, it verifies the version on my phone, asks me if I want to proceed, and then I select yes.
Then the phone itself displays a message saying do you want to run bootloader unauthorised application etc etc, and once I select yes, the phone switches off and therefore loses connection with the PC/activesync and the update fails. I then need to soft reset the phone and it boots up with the old ROM.
Any ideas or workarounds for this guys?
Cheers,
Jeff

My bad, all good, I worked it out.
Got one of the ROMS going and phone freezes whenever I use MMS.
So I guess my questions is which is the best most stable ROM of all of these?

So I guess my questions is which is the best most stable ROM of all of these?
Well I would have said Mary SuperLite... BUT today I experienced my first hard reset :(
I put my phone down on the bench... next time I picked it up and pressed the power button to turn the screen on, everything was frozen.
Pressing the soft reset switch at the bottom didn't just perform a soft reset, but a HARD reset - the same effect as booting a ROM for the first time where everything was gone, messages, contacts, etc. Booting also took a VERY long time.
The significance of what happened to me, as opposed to others, is that I had practically nothing on it - as far as I can remember, only a dialler skin, and I doubt that this has caused an issue, so the problem must be inherent in the phone itself - not software conflicts per se - although conflicting software might be increasing the likelihood of this issue coming up.
So there you go... mind you, this is the first time it's happened to me ever, after around 6 weeks now of flashing? and 4 weeks on the same ROM.

EDIT: PDAVIET v41 and Karmba v10.2 - Diamond currently being uploaded to mediafire, both work fine... not sure about bluetooth though :/
Been testing these two ROMs... Karmba_a seems sluggish, despite having a nice amount of RAM free (26MB) - switching back to PDAVIET shows a big improvement in responsiveness... PDAVIET it is for me (until my next crash lol)!
Just something that might interest some people... mediafire has stats for how many downloads per file, and Mary v3.7 - Lite is leading with 434 downloads! :O wow
Mary SuperLite has 221 downloads, and PDAVIET v37 has 218... exciting stuff lol

OK...well I tried PDAVIET 41 and it flashed fine.....but no BT....still comes up with the BT hardware error. I tried going back to previous Radio roms and it still didn't work.
An interesting thing I did notice though, when I check the Device information and compare it with the screenshot on the original thread....my Protocol Version shows 32.89.7020.20H where the PDAViet screenshot shows 32.83.7020.20H.
I figured this was just the difference between P3600i and P3600.
I then flashed back to PDAViet 37 as BT works well there and thought I would check the Device Info.....hmmmm 32.83.7020.20H WTF????
I also remembered earlier when I was running Karmba_a 10.1 fix that the Protocol was 32.89.7020.20H
Does this have some bearing...at least on the BT issue and why is the Protocol changing from the original to a different version, after changing the header?
Needs someone smarter than me to figure that out...
PS...the actual Protocol in PDAViet 41 may have been 32.86.7020.20H I really can't remember now.....but it was certainly different.

I'm suspecting a few issues:
1. the kernel: nk.exe (this I can solve)
2. the physical addresses for the device are different since the device itself is different. I'm referring to address maps used in cooking (for instance, with insert.exe). I have tried to contact all chefs that have ROMs which have been reported to work on 3600i regarding this issue, but none of them answered. I'm kinda stuck and blindfolded since I cannot test.

I already tried to replace the registry entries from pdaviet v.32 and bt files from 002TNYBSN - CE OS 5.2.19588 (Build 19588.1.1.4) WWE. None of them are working.
I found this in the working PDAVIET v.32 registry entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Bluetooth]
"BTAddress"=hex:00,17,83,8F,10,C4
"BTFirmwareVersion"="BT_Init_Script_TI_331.txt"
"BTCOMstatus"=dword:00000000
I found this in karmba_a v10.1:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Bluetooth]
"BTAddress"=hex:00,00,10,01,00,00
"BTCOMstatus"=dword:00000000
No matter how many times I changed this it always return to the second one.
With files replacement in the karmba_a v10.1 from PDAVIET v.32 , I manage to make my device stuck AFTER bootscreen (instead of showing today screen, it was only showing white screen).
I also tried to change the radio firmware to 1.46.30.11 since it was the last wwe version. No luck also.

If you said that after you change it return back... the only two ways that registry changes is:
1) manualy
2) by some program.. maybe in karmba rom there is some bt fix or some bluetooth explorer that at the boot load and change the registry to the default of the rom...
karamba: you have any solution? you have any idea why it changes?

Yeh no worries... the only problem is that the archive you've posted contains only the NBH file, and some people may not know what to do with this. I added the other files so it was easy to flash by running the exe with no fuss.
I've kept a link to your thread though, as a single listing here makes it easier for people to see at a glance what ROMs are available... saves a lot of time/effort/confusion in having to dig through thread after thread...
