I cant wait to get an at least 90% good rom so i can sell this thing with a clear conscience and be done! most annoying phone i've ever owned.

Hi. I use netfront as my default browser. I too have this problems. Have stopped using netfront all together or at least rare occations. I tried all sorts of options both those that are inset with the netfront software, reg tweaks as well as changing via an imported font to force the display to show in landscape but nothing works.
big shame as netfront looks great. I also cant view any flash content. Thought I would be able to. Have changed the file attributes in the netfron options but still doesnt open my chosen app for viewing them.

I have the same issue, and as a work around you can write text blind, then select it to view & check it, but I know this is not ideal at all.

Opera 9.5 is ok, but netfront does pretty much the same thing but takes a lot less time to start etc.

This is the only proper bug I've found in V8 so far, so thanks Laurentius for a great ROM!

Try going to Settings -> Screen -> ClearType and DISABLE "Enable Clear Type". This solved the issue for me using IE in Landscape. Maybe the ClearType function in this ROM makes the font color CLEAR j/k :P.

Nope, the reply all softkey seems to work fine for me using the normal Pocket Outlook. It would be nice if it was just Reply as in 6.0, I fear I may get into trouble doing an inadvertent "reply all"...

I have looked around and I have found no way to change the "Reply All" soft key to just "Reply". Anyone know how to do this?

I'm using the same version and build without any issues. The only thing is I can no longer change settings on the device by hitting the little task tray icon. Otherwise it works great.

Yes I am having the same problem. Pocket Controller loads and runs fine however I am not able to control the program as the task bar icon does not work properly and the program icon(which loads into System Settings) does not work either.

I talked to Soti and they could not replicate the problem but they did not have this ROM. I went back to an earlier non-diamond ROM and Pocket Controller works fine.

It is definitely a bug in with Pocket Controller.

i downloaded the diamond keys and when i try to change to either one of the key its still the regular keyboard...i downloaded the SIP change cab. file and its still doing the same thing can someone help me with this

So has anyone figured out how to fix the bug where when receiving an SMS, there is a huge white space and the bar scrolls down, causing the very last conversation to be at the top of the screen? It almost defeats the point of threaded SMS's. This problem is driving me crazy.

Use advance config tool from Shaps and set the 4 way navigation under Internet explorer disabled. Soft reset. This should work.

Does anyone else have this problem. I've tried the search and i didnt find anything there. using a different radio could make a huge difference. Different radios work well in different areas. search radios compatible with your phone and read about them. See what works well your area and maybe areas where you plan on going. Also read about the battery life of the radio, some radios have been reported to have longer battery life than others, some better photo quality, i think. Also it would be a good idea to read up on flashing radios/ROMS from your SD card. congrats on your first flash BTW! good luck, hope this helped.

I have two further questions one that may be a bug???

1. When I used to connect to 3G when finished I could simply double click the 3G icon at the top of the screen and I would have the option to disconnect. I can't seem to do that now?

2. I have reinstalled most of my applications and so far all is well and dandy however I have now reinstalled Airscanner Firewall and all I get is a message from the program saying erro 2 and wont start.

It used to work fine on the HTC official 6.1 ROM so am not sure it does not lke the cooked one....but I wouldn't have a clue?

Do a search for a WindowsLive10.6.0034.0800(Fixed) CAB, install and that should hopefully do the trick for ya... I had the same problem and this worked for me...

Hi I am using this v8 and trying to use some midi as my ringtones. But I found some can be played in the "Sounds and Notifications" and some cannot. Actully they all can be played in other softwares such as windows media player. And I used these midi in my Treo750(wm6.0). I don't know if it is resulted from the ROM. I searched in the BBS and found someone asked the same queation but no any answer. The file is the midi file which cannot be played in the ringtone setting. You can try it. Hope to solve this question. Thanks.:)

Been playing with this all night and am very pleased with what you have done!!

I have a few problems, 2 mentioned a few posts back but will consolidate here and would like to know if they are bugs and I need to wait for a fix or if it is something yu are not yet aware of.

The issues below did not exist on the HTC stock 6.1 ROM

1. When I reboot my device I do not get prompted to enter my phone sim code password and I have to play around trying to activate the phone to get the prompt to appear. Pressing the green phone button on the device does nothing, but it does open the phone AFTER I have managed to get the sim password entered.

2. When I connect to 3G the phone icon at the top changes from the normal phone one to the G one to show I am connected to 3G. But when I want to disconnect I have to play around finding a way to break the connection whereas before I could just click the icon and a disconnect button would appear.

3. I have installed Airscanner firewall 3.0 and when it starts I get an error 2 and it won't start at all.

Yeah, as I recall it had to do with file associations - on the stock Tilt ROM, .mid files were associated with RealPlayer (I think, again I don't totally remember) but changing the file association for those from player.exe to wmplayer.exe fixed it...however, I looked thru the registry on this build, and messed with similar associations a little (there are associations for wmplayer.exe and player), but had no success.

I would try a hard reset, or a reflash. Could try just flashing a new radio first. I have had this problem on some roms, and as far as i can tell there's nothing wrong with the rom, just a fluke kind of thing.

Well if you have the hardspl'd your phone, then you have nothing to worry about so long as you only flash kaiser roms. I had this that issue with Dutty's Diamond rom actually. Anyway, flashing a radio is exactly like flashing a rom. You take the steps and is as safe as you can be when doing this kind of stuff. Just make sure you hardspl'd first. Can't emphasize that enough.

Is this a bug in the rom or an error on my part? I'm running hardspl 3.28(i switched from SPL 1.0 olipof) w/ radio 1.58.25.17 when i enter my call log the screen will freeze up if i hit the "End" button if i hit the "OK" i can manage to get out of there and everything is fine. I then tried to flash a DUTTY rom and for one reason or another it would not take not matter what i did i ended up with L26_Kaiser_Diamond_V8_light release again. I read over the dutty rom thread and found that particular rom had the bug where the end key would fudge up the screen and you had to use the "OK" key to get out of it. What step have i missed ive been searching threads for 3 hours and i havent found anything that has helped me flash another rom successfully.

For some reason, my USA.NET IMAP email didn't work with this ROM. I could successfully log in, see my folders, but it wouldn't sync with any of the data in the folders. I loaded the original OEM ROM and it worked fine. :confused:

I also duplicated the issue on a friend's device with the same ROM so I know it wasn't specific to my phone.
