PTT and Cooked ROMs

To all the ROM chefs, please consider leaving the PTT functionality on the ROMs you are cooking and allow the user to re-map the PTT after flashing at his or her discretion. This will take care of the issues encountered by those that attempt to re-install the PTT function after flashing PTT-less ROMs.

For some strange reason, when you cook a ROM and have the PTT button already remapped to other program, you will not be able to revert to having the PTT function as intended by AT&T, and glitches might occur.

In the latest build 213 that was released, there is actually a cab that is strictly dedictated to PPT. Have you tried downloading it and seeing if that fixes the problem

my new death rom will fix this problem.. button 6 and 6hold is mappable, should be out later today or tomorrow

however i did just notice something interesting in the OEM package for voicecommand..

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ButtonApps\Microsoft\Voice Command]
"AppFilePath" = "\\windows\\voicecmd.exe (file://windows//voicecmd.exe)"
"Parameters" = "-ptt"
I bring this up because this allows me to map the button on the stock rom to voicecommand.... but not other apps!

i would imagine in theory you can add reg entries for other roms that had PTT not fully ripped from it...

I ran into a registry tweak that adds a second function for most of the hard buttons, by press and hold. However, when I open the registry for those keys that were altered the second press and hold feature registry can not be located. maybe I was looking in the wrong area.
