im making my own rom called BlackCore.
Ive just started and this is what it will include:

Heavy Rom:
OS - WM 6.1 Pro
Games - PocketNester, FPSECE, Mobile Mines, Chess, Solitare, FreeCell, and Kevtris
Apps -Opera mini, java, pocketRAR, BT Explorer, TouchFlo, Youtube Player, TCMP, HTC Album, Audio Manager, Total Commander, and Battery Status
Other - iContact, Slide2Unlock, and the iphone calculater. (note: not trying to make an iClone lol. As i mentioned, this is pretty much like the PointUI and i dont like using a stylus. So im making it as "touch-able" as possible and those apps are perfect for the rom)

Lite Rom:
OS - WM 6.1 Pro
Games - Original Pre-loaded games (bubble breaker, and solitare)
No apps

Now the rom im making will have be prety much just like the PointUI. I dont like using a stylus that much so im making the thing as touch sensative and touch friendly as possible. It will be released in a few weeks (balancing out summer school, a job, this project will be pretty tough) And also im going to be gone for 2-3 weeks for some military training down in Silver City, NM. So im hoping i can get it done before then. I have 2 more weeks of summer school left and then the training 2 days after. So i basically have 16 days to finish. Well, better get started.

Beta Tester's Rom:
OS - WM 6.1 Pro
Games - PocketNester, FPSECE, Mobile Mines, Chess, Solitare, FreeCell, Kevtris, Ms.Pac-Man, SPB Brain Evolution (full version), Zelda, and Metal Gear Solid Mobile (comes out on the 19th lol i will get the file free and so will you. full version too)
Apps -Opera Mobile 9.5 (build 1004), java, pocketRAR, BT Explorer, TouchFlo, Youtube Player, TCMP, HTC Album, Audio Manager, Total Commander, Battery Status, Skype, and Google Maps
Other - iContact, Slide2Unlock, and the iphone calculater. (note: not trying to make an iClone lol)

NOTE: This will include a registration key (different for all my beta testers) or a pre-registered version of it cooked on the rom. (not to sure if thats possible) You may have also noticed more stuff has been added to your rom. This is only because yours will take longer to come out. So im making yours better then the public release one. I will be making 2 versions of the beta tester's rom. This version with everything included and a lite version with the exact same thing as the lite version of the public release (just with the Mobile Shell theme style)

if you could have a theme style, would you prefer something like the Point UI thme style of SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 style?

im stuck between these two styles. Im leaning to SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 because its alot better in my opinion. Or should i make the heavy rom theme like SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 and the lite rom theme like Point UI?

and then when i get more time i can make a Point UI theme for the heavy rom and a SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 theme for the lite rom.

:confused: so confused! need opinions lol. its 11:21pm now. i got school in the morning (8am-5pm) so im gonna be very busy.

but yeah i can see where people getting $30 free for installing a rom would be a problem lol. well......that means im gonna have to start over.....on second thought, i will continue this rom im already making.

that rom will be given to my beta testers and my beta testers ONLY. In the mean while, i will start working on a new one with a point UI style menu. That rom will be made for the public.
i suppose i should start on the new one now considering people are looking foward to it and everything. Gotta meet the supply and demand rule i suppose lol.

NOTE: to my beta testers. your rom will be made but it will be out after the public release rom. just stay patient. its gonna be worth he wait.

wow this rom sounds really cool!!! I cant wait. I am tired of the official Rom. The only reason I have it its because a lot of the other Roms dont have Windows Live Mail. Is it possible to cook it in the Rom? Or is there a cab file for Windows Live Mail?

I also have the Full Monopoly game if anyone is interested. Midian if you like to cook it in the Rom let me know.

Midian if there is not enough space I can always attach the cab file here so those who want it can just download it. As far as windows live mail .... I can always deal with it since your Rom sounds soo cool. I cant wait for the screenshots too!!! So youre on the military? Im a Marine myself. Like I said i cant wait for your Rom. and yeah im gonna join the military. For now i just go to a military school. The school is navy seals but im probably gonna join the air force so this way i can still get a degree and serve my country.

Thanks for the offer but thats not my style. I want to do this. And i want others to enjoy my work. So i do it for free. I know its eating away at my time but still, i feel like me contributing to rom development and others being happy with my rom is payment enough. I know it sounds a little silly (i mean who doesnt want money lol) but still, i wouldnt feel right accepting it and more then likely if i did, the money would just be donated. Perhaps i will setup a paypal and put the link for whoever wants to give. But none of that money would be going to me (as i said, wouldnt feel right) but to some better cause.

Well, im gonna get back to work. I found a couple bugs that i need to get out.

lol thanks. and of course you can be a beta tester. i was just about to ask if you would be interested. ive been mainly doing work on the beta rom (sorry to all non-beta testers lol) ive been trying to get guitar hero 3 mobile cooked into the rom (of course a full version and i actually didnt download the game this time lol) but it doesnt seem to want to work. i can get it cooked on the rom but it never accepts the activation key. oh well maybe i will just send out the key with the link.

im running out of time. i just spent 4 hours in a car cooking the damn rom on my laptop (i got one of those cig outlets - regular outlet and i spent all that time in my car and guess what....now my freakin car wont start so i have to get it fixed ASAP. So a little time delay on the rom. not much because i can still cook while i get it fixed.....even though i have to go to church and finish getting all my stuff. i have probably fit 30 minutes of cooking time in their. So yeah, expect the beta rom to be done soon. (hopefully by monday and if not then, definately ext wednesday!)

Wow, working 4 hours outta your car? That doesn't sound really comfortable at all. I used to kill my battery all the time way back in the day when I would work on my sound system, tweaking it, etc, and then kill my battery! lol...
