You may also post links to a ROM that you wish to have signed here.

DIAM140 Users: Please note that stock ROMs are currently not fully compatible with your device and therefore are not recommended for flashing unless you backup your current ROM first.

DIAM300 Users: We need someone to test these ROMs, so any guinea pigs please test but first backup current ROM.

I managed to flast HardSPL 1.30 OliNex.

I had the same problem, Its because the rom must be signed with the certificate same as used for hardspl, If you use this rom witch they signed with the same srt it will work,

download one of the two linked in the FIRST POST of THIS THREAD.

you'll find that one of those two is the one you're trying to flash.

more will be posted as they're made public, but so far, we've signed the only OSs available for Diamond.

Strange, I managed to install this ROM without Hard-SPL. I did try to install hard-spl, screen went black like it's supposed to, but then I didn't know what to do and did a soft reset.
Then I ran the Europe ROM update downloaded from first-post in this thread. It installed beautifully, I got congratulated, and my phone is a lot faster (thanks for that!)
My boot screen doesn't say Olinex, so apparently hardspl isn't installed.

How is this possible? And does it have any consequences for my phone?

Obviously you have already done hard-spl but you don't know that... :p

In boot screen it doesn't say Olinex anywhere, but you will see that if you put your device in bootloader mode. ;)

here's the stock SPLs... 1.23, 1.34, 1.37, 1.93.
EDIT: I uploaded 1.35 later because people couldn't understand there was no real difference between 1.34 and 1.35. so it is now in the second attachment in this post.

if you have unsigned hardspl, you'll need to use the SSPL package (i.e. the same package that is posted in HardSPL thread to flash the hardspl), just replace the NBH file with one of these stock SPLs.

if you have signed hardspl, just go ahead and flash with normal RUU process (no overwrite protection in that one, as it is already only accepting htchackers signed files, there was no need for that).

also,
STEP BY STEP HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
1. download the stock spl package from this post (pick one of the attachments) in this thread.
2. also download the RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH.zip from the attachments in this post.
3. pick the SPL you want to reflash to (ONLY FOR WARRANTY REASONS), it's a .NBH file, put the NBH in the extracted RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH package.
4. run the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to black screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
+5. to verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen.

My device does not want to upgrade, with error 262 every time.

Any suggestions?

you can verify SPL version in tricolour screen (volume down + reset, hold volume down until tricolour appears).

BUT! you must flash SPL as the LAST STEP, you made a mistake there. go back to hardspl, then flash the original 1.34 ROM. after that you can flash the stock SPL and you're done.

The only difference I see from published data is that SPL is 1.30 Olinex instead of 1.40 Olinex. I don't know what that means.

I bought the Diamond with 1.34 SPL and I wanna upgrade the ROM to 1.37.... signed! I gather the information from this thread I have to flash my SPL to Signed Hard-SPL by cmonex. Than I will able to upgrade the ROM to 1.37...WWE which is signed.
Is it possible to use 1.37...ROM with 1.37 Signed SPL? And what about my warranty in this case? I guess the unsigned SPL by Olipro makes a warranty loss, does it?

Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading to the asian 1.37 rom from my current 1.35.871.5

But after reading about recovering the rom for warranty issues, i went to check my spl and it's a 1.35.0000, that unfortunately is not included in the stock spl pack.

The thing is, since i really doubt htc keeps a log of which set was shipped with which spl and if it was ever updated by them. I should be alright as long as i flash back with any stock spl and the corresponding rom for my region?

As long as it looks like/is something that they could have installed it should be fine i believe? It need not actually be my original spl and rom?

Anyway, I haven't enough patience to wait for a signed ROM and I've HARD-SPL again the device, unsigned this time. Me too. Olinex seems to be on the multicolored bars when the device starts to update, so I think HardSPL went OK, but it gets stuck at 0% and does not update. I've tried all three major releases of ROMs but none works. Any ideas ?

depends what language your ROM is... if the language you have isn't listed under the "Official ROMs" list then you need to back up, otherwise, don't bother.

I should also point out we added more ROMs to the list, at the same time, my scrollwheel on my mouse broke :(

Flash over to elite . check the chnges and decide which one is better for you. you can not " add " one rom to another, so to answerr your question if you start with 1.37 and install elite 2.0 you will have a phone with elite 2.0 ROM. the only way to get back to 1.37 is to flash it with 1.37 rom again , which will definatly take away elite 2.0

Cooked roms are ones that are not factory standard from HTC or your Carrier ... IE some nice person has cooked you up a special ROM .. most of the time they tweak settings , remove programs , add other programs .. it is just personal prefrence .. SOme roms are very light with very little extra stuff ... sounds gone , apps missing .. some people might like this cause the phone will have more room for other things , others might want the bulk stuff .. Some ROMS include updates like .net and newer versions of stuff ...

The coked ROm will be based on a factory ROM in most cases .. so if you really like , for example 1.37 , but you dont want all the extra fluffy picture and applications , you might see a cooked one called 1.37 lite .. or perhaps the first thing you usually do is follow the tweaking guide to get your phone faster and less stable .. there will be a cooked rom with a lot of the tweaks built in .. maybe your lazy and dont want to manually install your applications after a hard reset , you may find a cooked rom with all your aps built in .. but the again there are copyright issues and this fourm doesnt like warez so you may not find a rom like that unless you learn to bake it yourself :)

IIRC diam300 has been tested successfully.
no idea about diam200. please backup your rom using pdocread (look for kaiser rom dump threads, adjust the sizes in the example commands based on pdocread -l command). then you can safely try other roms, it will be possible to go back to the backed up rom.

I have following questions :

1. What do you mean by flashing of ROM? Is this same as calling upgrading/update?
2. What is HARDSPL and where do I find in my mobile? How do I check whether it has been installed or not in my device.

Really wanted to upgrade to Diamond's Project ROM.

Sorry if these questions sound too lame but I am seriously looking for somewhere to start from?

Not a techie but wanted to throw myself on the mercy of smarter folks...i have a diamond that I inherited that is Asia HK WWE device...it has hard spl 1.30 OliNex on the device and I am trying to flash it to the latest ROM for Asia HK WWE in this string...everytime I try to do it it times out and give me a communications error...am I missing a step?

I´ve tried to do this directly but i got "...wrong device-ID..."

i bought my wife the HTC touch diamond with an O2 contract, so it's an O2 Xda Diamond branded with O2 sh*t. It is DIAM300 and it worked with SPL-1.30 Olinex! After hard-SPL I installed 'RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.34.831.1_52.24.25.0 8 _0.93.25_Ship' (because we are chinese :p) and it worked! Thanks a lot, guys! I'm getting an "ERROR [260]: CONNECTION" error. The program manages to read info out of the phone (or at least it seems) but it doesn't even start updating. I've tried through Vista 64 and XP Prof 32 (virtual machine running on VMWare on the 64 bit Vista).

Any tips on getting past this?

Here's my status, and I would love to get some help...

I've tried getting this to work on Vista x64 and through VMware with XP x86 running on the Vista x64 computer. No luck.

Now I've installed XP x86 on my laptop with dual boot and I've installed all drivers, active sync etc etc. I've tried running the software while the phone is on normally, with and without USB connection checked in AS - on all USB ports on the computer. With AS activated, it manages to read out the current image version (1.94.409.1), but not if I deactivate the USB connection. With USB off I get a 204 error. With USB on I get a 246 error.

Next I tried booting into the boot loader (I get the four colors). In this mode it won't read the current image version, but at least the phone switches to that blueish grey with the indicator, but stays on 0%. If I'm not mistaken I usually get a 260 error from here.

Running the SSPL-manual.exe from the root of the phone gives me an error about it not being signed or missing some components.

My phone has a Norwegian ROM (yuck!) and I'm desperate to get rid of it...Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

guys im sorry if ill sound stupid here but this is my first flash and i want to make sure of everything not to brick my device...
i have HTC diamond which has russian ROM and upgraded to the last ROM version from the official HTC website using the official serial number.
the ROM version is 1.93.411.2 RUS
radio version 1.00.25.05
i want to change to an english interface...
so ill have to
1-download and install the OliNex Unsigned Hard-SPL (Developers Edition)
2-download and install the radio (ill stick to the 1.00.25.05 Version)
3-now about choosing the ROM version....
can i chose ANY WWE ROM version or there are special ones that will work with the Hard-SPL version i used up there??:confused::eek:
im a little bet confused about this point...
also if i choose a radio signed version do i still have to go for step 2 or not??

Is this okay or am I suppose to be using a different ROM if Im here in the States? I am also having trouble for this phone when it comes to the keyboard. I can only use compact qwerty. Is this bc the ROM I have is not the one I need?

I know this sounds stupid, but before I got this phone yesterday, I had no idea what a "ROM" was and I am totally lost.....

I even spent 4 hours trying to get the gullum's diamond keyboard to work... (didnt work in the end- gave up).

Also, after I did everything, I noticed that I can no longer send/receive any test messages. Is this an issue with my phone or possibly my provider (AT&T)

if you have unsigned hardspl, you'll need to use the SSPL package (i.e. the same package that is posted in HardSPL thread to flash the hardspl), just replace the NBH file with one of these stock SPLs.

if you have signed hardspl, just go ahead and flash with normal RUU process (no overwrite protection in that one, as it is already only accepting htchackers signed files, there was no need for that).

also,
STEP BY STEP HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
1. download the stock spl package from this post (pick one of the attachments) in this thread.
2. also download the RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH.zip from the attachments in this post.
3. pick the SPL you want to reflash to (ONLY FOR WARRANTY REASONS), it's a .NBH file, put the NBH in the extracted RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH package.
4. run the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to black screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
+5. to verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen.

that's it.

I need your help so I cand send my phone to repair on my warranty.

My Diamond is "almost" dead and when it´s connected to the batterycharger, the phone reboots allt the time, but I can access the Bootloader, and it´s the ONLY way I can have contact with my phone.
Power on won´t start my phone and with the batterycharger the text " Touch Diamond" shows upp and then reboots again and again.
But I can enter the Bootloader.

I have uppdated the ROM with the official 1.93 Swedish ROM, made by HTC for the Swedish operator 3 via Bootloader and it installs to 100%.
Then I entered the Bootloader (only way for me to get some access to the phone) and tried to install the stock 1.93 spl found in post 20 in this thread.
Same there: 100% is shown after install, so I guess it should work.
After install, I enter the Bootloader (tricolor) again but the text still says:

Security Unlocked
Diam100 MFG 64M
SPL-1.40 OliNex
MicroP.Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x30

Do you know why it won´t show the stock spl I tried to install?

Is there another stock SPL I shall install?

I've just bought a Diamond and I've been reading the forums and I think I'm ready to change the Orange network ROM to an HTC ROM.
I've already followed the 'modmydiamond' guide (I will be donating as soon as I've finished updating) and have installed the unsigned 1.40 Olinex SPL.
I've checked in the bootloader that all has gone to plan so I think I'm ready to install "RUU_Diamond_HTC_FRA_1.93.406.1_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship" which I donwloaded from the link in the first post of this thread.
I think I'm ready but I just want to check that I haven't missed anything.
Will I lose all of my network settings or are they simply on my SIM card?
Will I lose the little labyrinth ball Wii-mote style game that was in my Orange ROM? I don't really mind losing it but I'd just like to know in advance...

My main question is can I go ahead with installing the previously mentioned ROM with the hard SPL I installed or have I missed something?

Sorry for the noobish question but I have done my research and simply wanted to check with the pros before going ahead. Thank you very much in advance for any advice. :)

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a v1.93 ROM for the Touch Diamond (India). HTC has released a ROM at http://www.htc.com/in/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=133&cat=2&dl_id=379 but it isn't signed of course.

I tried the TLR3 ROM and it hangs during the first boot at the WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE.Cab, right after Manila installs. Kept it overnight and that didn't help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A noob again

After read almost all reply's here i have al lot of questions.

i have a HTC DIAMOND branded by vodafone since a month with:
Rom version. 1.97.172.4 NLD
Rom date. 10/26/08
radioversion. 1.08.25.08
protocolversion. 52.44.25.24H

After soft reset and holding volume down i see a 4 color screen with red, green, blue, and white.

In the red color i see
Diam100 64m
spl-1.97.0000
microp-diam (led) v11

In the green color i see
psoc-diam stage_pvt v0x32

In the blue
Nothing

In the white only text
serial

Is it realy recomanded to update spl to hard spl???:confused:
do i loose my warrenty (i realy do think thats a yes):(
When i read all reply's i am scared :eek: to do the update

Please is there anyone to help

Tried searching all over to find a Danish ROM ver. 2.03.XXX.X

My SPL is 1.4 by OliNex and my device is a DIAM100

Currently i've flashed to Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.3_Radio_Signed but I prefer the Danish part.

I've got the Diamond_H3G_DAN_2.03.775.2_Radio_Signed file, but can't flash this and would prefer not to have the HG3 ROM, because I'm not using HG3 network.

Hard SPL 1.40 is write protected and that's why it can not be removed unless you use the Tool found in my signature links title, "Jump Spl" There is a note pad within the download that explains what to do.

to discover, am i changed STOCK SPL to HSPL unsigned, when i back to STOCK SPL uploaded in post #20 , i'm not sure which one from that post to use ?

1.34, 1.38 , 1,93 or ?

I'm not sure what was originally - stock SPL which came with my phone :( , i sent mail to HTC support to ask him, do they know to tell me over S/N what was first originally SPL on my phone, but they tell me all information what they have, but not 1st version of SPL.

Information are like this

this phone is buyed in Sweden, and my problem is, i don't know what version of STOCK spl from post #20 to use for warranty, cause i have to send my phone in service for repairing, but what Stock SPL to use, for no discovering from people which work in repairing service?

I remember version of stock rom was 1.93 Swedish, one before latest, but for SPL i'm not sure, maybe 1.34 or 1.35, i scarried they will discover me, i used HSPL, and i don't know what stock SPL to put on my HTC for warrant and no discovering about using another SPL-s like HSPL , unsigned,signed etc..?

Hey guys, another dutchie here. After a bunch of reading (and a couple of tries ;)) i managed to have a nice 1.30-version of Hard-SPL on my diamond-I. I just have two questions:

1) I am still downloading a (old, couldn't find a 2.#-version!) signed ROM-package, but already tried to flash with an unsigned one. I then get the "standard-error": i get a progressbar on both my computer (XP) and Diamond, but both stay on 0% and my computer gives me an communication-error after a while. Is this a normal respons to the ROM-image not being signed?

2) Could you make a signed version of the Gen.Y R1.25 NLD ROM?

I have a T-Mobile's MDAcompactIV and I want to restore the stock ROM. But I'm not sure if there's a Dutch version out there. I need to return it for repairs. I already flashed stock ROM.
My 4 colour screen shows:

SPL-1.34.Hard
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11

I'm not sure if this is the stock MDAcompactIV SPL, can someone verify???

May I know how to flash HTC official ROM (say, version 1.93.xxxx or 2.0x.xx.). I have got Olinex hard SPL (signed) in. The flash process keep showing 0% and then error message. Thank you!
