I have a question. Is the volume of the phone related in anyway to the radio rom? Ever since I upgraded the volume is really low and have to put it on speaker most of the time to be able to hear the conversation.

Every time I flash to any rom the volume is low. Makes sure to turn the volume up when not on the phone and make sure when you are in a call to turn the volume up. I think the two have different volume sliders.

Every time I flash to any rom the volume is low. Makes sure to turn the volume up when not on the phone and make sure when you are in a call to turn the volume up. I think the two have different volume sliders.
Yea I always put the volume up, but regardless it's still very low. It doesn't help much.

The theme was slow switching tabs but once i gave it a min or 2 it switch's fine. I guess it take a sec to load all the way. Nj and grat's on the new build. Can you fix micro or update spb build. i have been following throttle launcher threads real close and have tested the new build 9.3 .....with your last rom and loved it and can tell u with battery status,, s2u2 ,,,which both run in the background i usall have 23-24m available only thing is that your last rom has a memory leak....

I think instead of cooking a version with spb in, I will just create a lite version and folks can install the cabs as they wish.

This way its a lot easier to deal with updates for the themes and app itself.

What does mega mean: Well, it means it will be even bigger than the biggy.

I will add a ver with 2 and 3 contact pages :) If you want both clocks I can add aswell but you cant swipe with your finger through all the pages if there is more then one tab per page. Example: if you have two clocks and swipe it, it will go from one clock to other clock instead of switching tabs. I tried the 3 tab contacts but I like going from each page with one swipe instead of having to press button to get out of contacts.

Shep211, can you post that version of your theme with the 3 contact pages? I personally don't need the 2 clocks, but i do use the 3 contact pages a lot. Thanks in advance!

No Issues with the Throttle Launcher, although it is somewhat slow, which means i will be adding battery status to overclock my Wing
WiFi works great

I have not tested the BT Apps because I don't use BT

For Some reason the Camera button is not set to open the HTC Camera, had to manually set

Im new to this but ive spent weeks reading and this is great. im currently using the Open Touch Lite Diamond SPB Mobile Shell and its great.

i have to ask though. is there a way to change the background of SPB mobile shell instead of the black one that you put on? are there themes for SPB i can install or is there a way to change out the icons?

I will write a readme later. I put these up for ttran but anyone can use.

Unzip Spb Mobile Shell theme.rar and put files in \Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell and soft reset.

greatbal Games and Tasks Menu Items.CAB - This will add task menu and game icon to programs tab. Credits to greatbal

spbwatcher.CAB - This will reopen spb if it exits to today screen. Credits to Thedumbkid

MortScript is required for the next two scripts. Type MortScript in google to download the newest ver. Put the 2 files in the folder you installed MortScript.

You cant add contacts to spb contacts tab after installing SwitchSpbContact.mscr script. Work around is to run script again to remove regestry edits then add contacts then run script again to set icontact back as spb contact manager.

Add contacts to spb contact tab.

SwitchSpbContact.mscr - This will edit regestry and change spb contact's to Icontact. Credits to Nitestalker

SwitchSpbCalendar.mscr - This will edit regestry and change spb calendar to Thumbcal. Credits to Nitestalker

Thanks for the info. I'm gona back up everything on my Wing since I already made a lot of custom to my liking on the Diamond Lite v6.1 SPB. I'll load the Diamond Lite v6.5 sometime tomorrow while waiting for v6.5 Lite SPB.

Last week an IT guy at my company show off his Wing and told me it has the latest radio from Tmobile and other stuff from SPB. Well I cut his excitement short when I show him my wing with SPB. His jaw just dropped down to the floor when seeing my finger swipe through the pages flipping, the weather, the iContact and other stuff. He asked me how much he have to pay to get his wing like mine. I show him this site and told him that if he want to he can make a donation to you as you deserve all the credit. :)

No sounds like a possible bad flash, first try reseting the device and see if the problem happens again.

If forgot to mention that, if folks want to enable flash clock, weather, and contacts, please down load flash player 7. I did not include it since it takes up over a 1mb of space.

That is strang to hear about tl, everything has been working fine for me.
I have it setup as a today item should it should auto load.

The biggy version have always been known to run slower due to all of the included apps.

If TL is running sluggish for you, you need to change your FPS. when i first used v6.0 TL was also running sluggish for me, until i messed around with the settings and set it all the way up. then it'll run fine. if that doesn't help overclock it.

Please refer to the throttle laucher web site, the version I'm using is .93 which is the latest one.

TL creator did a great job on the app and his web site has all of the FAQ.

You have to install one of the following,

SPB mobile shell with theme of your choice.

TL with them of your choice.

HTC Home with theme of your choice.

This version is made mainly for the advance users, not saying that your not one.

then try the lite with touchflo3d or biggy.

The biggy has a lot of apps already included and most users like this one.

The advanced users like the lite version so they can add their own apps on to their sd cards.

If you dont like the diamond stuff, then wait until next week and I will release a version without the diamond stuff.

I loaded the 6.5 Lite without anything and then loaded Spb on it. In my second try I did load anything after the installation.

The message is not related to a headset but to request for pairing or just to set the Bluetooth on.

then Experimental
then change the fps = max which should be 20

save and exit

You can also enable autoload for each of the tabs.

I too agree that we should support apps created by members of xda, plus I really do love using throttle launcher.

It might run a little slower then htc home but the features included with it make it all worth it for me.

But then that's just me..

No, just download batterystatus and use it to over clock your device.

I use to include it but then the versions changed a lot so I removed it from my roms.

Hey ttran just loaded the 6.5 lite w/o spb or tl and I love it. Runs super fast and stable. Going to test out the stereo bluetooth later(the 6.1spb had stereo bluetooth noise issues). If thats fine then I think I found my new favorite rom. Thanks Again!

I installed 6.5 biggy and right off everything worked well. Once internet configured was able access local weather no issue. Changed FPS o the experimental tab from 14 to 20 and the bottom tabs performed much better. I did install battery status and over clocked to 273, this is a preference. So far i like everything this version has to offer

This photo is not TL, it was something I worked on with RLtoday and HTC Home.

I lost all my files since my computers hardware crashed.

Thanks ttran. You are awesome. I installed 6.5 TL version. Here are my observations/issues

Issues:
1) I couldn't find a way to change the two soft keys. I want to to change the right one to invoke finger friendly friends. iContacts version included is little old. It doesn't have call logs etc. Whereas new one has those.
2) When I want to initiate voice speed dial using bluetooth, it just brings me to the dial screen instead of invoking sddialer.exe. I had this issue in earlier roms which was resolved by this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359147&highlight=voice+speed+dial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359147&highlight=voice+speed+dial)). However not anymore.

If anyone can help me with above it will be great !

Annoyances (But I can live with it)
1) Several times when I switch the tabs (from home to contacts/conn manager etc) it says 'loading ...' and takes about 5-7 seconds to load. (I changed the fps to 20)
2) When trying to pickup new contact in 'contacts' tab, it uses default windows contacts (which is not finger friendly at all) and not iContacts.
3) There is no indication of battery life. It would help if it was shown somewhere prominent. (There is a small clock on top bar. that is not needed since there is 100 times bigger clock on home screen.) Maybe that can be replaced with battery percentage (like the spb)

Now I am not sure if any of this is technically possible but it is just my wish list which can make the rom better for me . BTW I haven't listed the things I like. That list is 10 times bigger than above list. Great Job !!

If you're not looking for a full shell on the homescreen, try mobiano.com or just do an internet search (google) for windows mobile theme. You'll find thousands... it's basically a picture for the background, and you'll be using quickmenu as the shell, or maybe batterystatus and quickmenu like I do.

Then when it's downloaded, go to start-settings-personal-today and select one of the themes. Simple.

I have a 4 gig memory card and I am installing all my apps to the card...however the available storage ram is being eatin up to somewhere...can someone help me free some of this up? Bear in mind TTran does have some apps already installed here...can they safely be moved to the memory card? If yes how do you do that so they will still run after being relocated???????????

Yes it worked for me but had Dalis TX, and it was so frustratingly slow even OC to 286 and i didnt have time to find the fix, im back to SPB v6.0 Lite Diamond,

Dear ttran001 the dialer you used in OTP v6.5 Lite - No SPB or TL is diferent from the dialer from OTP 6.0 versions. Can you post a .cab from tha dialer? I liked that one a lot and kinda of got used to it but everytime you post a new ROM I tend to flash it... so I did and now I got the other dialer!!! Heheheheh

By the way... ROM rocks... got 1 but though...
CommManager the descriptions get all messed up when I turn on/off something.

I've spent some time installing programs to the SD card, and each time I took note of the available memory in the ROM... it goes down a little bit each time, even though it is stored on the SD card. This is because reference notes are placed on the ROM storage to enable the file system to find the files on the SD card. Think of it like the appendix or table of contents in a textbook, those take up pages although the body of the book would be what is stored elsewhere. Is that what you're noticing? Otherwise, as advised, look at your settings for Internet explorer caching. Set it to the SD card. Then use pmclean to erase it often.

You've done it again... I can leave 4.0 lite black in history now, look for another donation my friend. Thanks for having QuickMenu on your ROMS, it is so nice to get through programs quickly and easily... the clunky icon method TMobile would have had us use is so awkward.

About donations... folks, that is what keeps this site and the authors in the game here. We all hate it when we have to pay for something that should have been included with the PPC to begin with, but that's how it goes. I would like to donate to the quickmenu author today, since I love that little program so much. I've just donated to chi-tai for batterystatus.

A little hint, one time I used a donation program for a couple of years, then the author went commercial with it. EVERYONE who donated ANY amount received the key to the program for free. Another program, it was any donation over $5 US. So, get on paypal and donate to these people! Donate to xda-dev! Keep this going. (honestly, I was a little annoyed by the fast donations when a special edition was in the works, I probably would have PMd the SE to those without any announcement, the same way the authors mentioned above did their commercial releases, but I can't knock donations for hard work)

Best rom I've used by far. Have almost all my apps installed and still 18-20mg storage space free. Couple questions...

1) does anyone know if you can disable automatic downloads of attachments using pop e-mail accounts. I want to download the entire message but not the attachment unless I specifically click on the message and tell it to down load at the next send/recieve.

2) Having touble installing office, from PC says that there's no previous version therefore can't install. Found a british cab install that worked but when you run word ppt, or excell it doesn't allow you to start a new document, it just takes you to file explorer to open a document.

FYI, for anyone using alot of medical software. The extra epocrates programs such as the BMI calculator, the HTN quick reference, etc. can all be moved to the storage card manually. You just have to go back and make links to each program in the start menu. Not sure if You'll be able to access them from Epocrates...but who cares, they run much faster if you run them externally.

I will add a ver with 2 and 3 contact pages :) If you want both clocks I can add aswell but you cant swipe with your finger through all the pages if there is more then one tab per page. Example: if you have two clocks and swipe it, it will go from one clock to other clock instead of switching tabs. I tried the 3 tab contacts but I like going from each page with one swipe instead of having to press button to get out of contacts.

Love the theme. I swapped out the background for my own and was delighted to see that all the bkgd's changed. I'm also interested in a version exactly as is but with additional contacts pages.

OTP v6.5 Throttle Launcher TouchFlo3D Lite


Okay first off I would like to say thank you TTran for all your hard work on this superfast,superbad rom called OpenTouch 6.5 Diamond Thottle Launcher lite.
Im gonna make this one quick and painless cause its a great job on the rom.
No need to overclock unless you have some Hot Sauce for your wing. But I did overclock mine to 260!!!!
Lets get to the numbers:

After initial flash
Storage Programs
45.92 49.80 Total
10.07 25.72 In Use
35.85 24.08 Free

Activesync.. - Works great no problems just make sure you set up the Connections Setttings first

Battery - Seems strong, no indicator on screen for it, so people might want to add vista hide battery monitor.

Connection Settings ( Network wizard ) - Use this to set up your network settings based on your carrier, already installed in the rom so no need to do anything else.

Contacts - Icontacts.

Calender - Have all the important stuff right at a touch of the screen with Throttle Launcher, or you can use Thumbcal.

Camera - Works great, no issues.

Dial pad - looks good, very simple and diamond like… easy to use and while incall the interface looks great.

Messaging - works great out the box, threaded sms works, MMS WORKS - NO HACK NEEDED.

Bluetooth - Works great, easy to ocnnect to device.

Weather - Can be configured thru Throttle launcher by editing the varies.txt file in the folder.

WiFi - Works out the gate with no problems, sometimes you do have to select it twice to get it to work.

Internet - works enough said.

Games - bubble breaker and solitare ( basic cause it’s the lite version )

Office - No office ( Lite Version ), so you have to install the cab on your own.( I put mine on storage card and works with no problem.

Internet Sharing - ( not Tested - I have total internet )

Media Player - Windows Media Player - Nice Skin… Also Htc audio manager works great and has black skin.

File Explorer - This is currently defaulted as total commander, but you can use total commander to create a shortcut link to file explorer ( its in the windows folder ) if you want to still use the old school file explorer.

Opera mini - is already installed but it is a older version, so you might want to install the GC java pack that’s floating around on xda in the development and hacking forum.

Overall:
The rom runs great right after the flash, very fast and stable, no real need to overclock it but for throttle launcher sake it makes a big difference in the spead of thottle launcher. No major bugs as of yet that I have noticed and will continue testing till tomorrow.

Search for Schaps advanced configuration... (spelling?) and that will help change your softkeys along with many other settings.

Ok I had some issues today with the rom. When I went to pick up a call today the phone just locked and had to do a soft reset. Also the signal is all over the place. Sometimes it shows no bar and then full bars in the same spot. Besides that and TL, everything else seems fine. I did some BlueTooth tethering today and it worked like a charm.

in the future its always wise make a backup of a xml or anyother file that can make a program stop working.

You can not remove stuff already cooked into the rom.

You can over write files of the same name, but if you do not something wrong then it might cause problems.

Please use the lite version and install what ever apps you want.

Absolutely love this ROM. Ive been running it for the last few days and have only run into one issue.. IE stalled out on me this morning, soft reset and all is fine. Gorgeous layout, fully functional on everything, easy to setup and easier to navigate. I had stayed on v3 for a while, didnt like 4 or 5. but this.. holy cow. great ROM

To fix the local for weather i went to the settings icon on the bottom bar, clicked touchflo 3d, clicked on the weather tab, then simply changed the location to my location. Havent tried it for my actual city yet, but Boston was close enough.

The settings for TL is as following.

Choose the setting icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select Touchflo3d icon.
Then go to weather and manually change the city location.

Save and exit.

Then reload throttle Launcher.

This might be an issue with icontacts, I will look more into this and worse case replace it with another contacts apps.

I haven't notice the icontacts issue, however i have noticed that some programs do close themselves once i go to spb menu and back. It happens to me with IM, PIE and others. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens frequently.

Ok I had some issues today with the rom. When I went to pick up a call today the phone just locked and had to do a soft reset. Also the signal is all over the place. Sometimes it shows no bar and then full bars in the same spot. Besides that and TL, everything else seems fine. I did some BlueTooth tethering today and it worked like a charm.

This happened to me too. Also while in a call, I accidentally hit the start button, and the phone locked up. None of the hard buttons or soft buttons would work. Had to soft reset.

I've had a similar issue, with HTC Album... while scrolling down a large number of photos, it just shut down when I was (in my estimation) about 2/3 through. probably 200 mb or more of photo files.

ok so i was using the 6.5 thottle launcher lite and was switching over to the 6.5 without tl or spb and it didnt work for some reason and now the phone wont go past the throttle launcher image when you first start up the phone i can go into bootloader but dont know what to do after that please help

Here are issues I have (I have 6.5 TL),

1) Can not initiate voice speed dial from bluetooth (sddialer is in correct place and works when manually invoked/from buttons).

thats why you have to turn off the thottle launcher plug in before you move files into the folder!!!!
it will work once you do that - that is what i explained in the directions...

program files - throttle launcher - setups - touchflo 3d - icons - tf3d - numbers
( take all the number files and overwrite )
then go up one folder which is tf3d and put the clocktabs.png files in there.
then turn on throttle launcher in the settings - today
( zip files have them renamed already - included below )

The Comm Manager in this version (at least on my phone) seems to think it is already in Airplane mode. Then when you try to hit the button to turn it off or on, it just hangs. Can closer comm manager and continue working however.

I am using OpenTouch 5.2 on my Wing, but I have notice that when I receive a SMS (or MMS) from someone in "My Faves" my phone locks up and I have to do a soft reset...sometime I may have to reset twice to get functionality back.

I check my text messages and the last one that I got before the lock up is gone.

Ttran, first let me say that i have come back time and again to your roms. they are the easiest and best designed that i have seen. thank you for putting the UL theme back into play. as for the design layout, i was thinking a black & white anolog clock would be cleaner, and the batterystatus( thats what it was before in 5.0) bar looks better at the bottom. either way you decide to do it i can promiss its getting flashed on my wing.

I have a question regarding the contacts in touchflo. For some reason none of my contacts are displayed in the contacts tab. They all show up perfectly fine in iContact. Is there a reason for this? I'm sure I have something configured incorrectly but I can't see what.

Update to my Review of OT 6.5 throttle launcher lite....
after testing for a few days, the rom is very smooth and fast. However I did encounter a few issues with the UI of throttle launcher ( so its not ttrans fault - and i have already told the author of TL about it ), apparently theres a log file that is created from TL and it automatically saves directly to the device in the TL folder and can become a large file. It will take up device memory and cause your device to run low on memory. A soft reset clears it but also you have to turn off the autounload option in all the tabs to make the file smaller.
TL is a good program, but a little bit of a hog on the memory ( program also ).
3D alt tab - is a great program also, very cool way of seeing open programs.

Cant wait for the OT6.5UL version and give a run..
