Ok I had some issues today with the rom. When I went to pick up a call today the phone just locked and had to do a soft reset. Also the signal is all over the place. Sometimes it shows no bar and then full bars in the same spot. Besides that and TL, everything else seems fine. I did some BlueTooth tethering today and it worked like a charm.

Anybody using vista knows activesync was replaced by Windows Mobile Device Center. I could get my Wing to sync before and also have it show up as a device in the Computer window. Since flashing this rom. i cannot get it to connect to WMDC or show up. I'm just trying to avoid having to constantly pull the memory card and using an adapter to transfer files. Any help? Nothing really crucial just a bit of a hassle.

TTRan, Awesome work on the new ROMs, been on 6.0 Lite since the first release and just went to 6.5 yesterday or the day before. I am enjoying it. I am also wondering if you are still planning to release the WM7 version? I love the ROMs but not to big on the Diamond look. I did replace all of the SPB Shell files with another WM7 theme, but seemed to have some random freeze ups and programs not opening when i click on them. I am not sure if just replacing the files in the theme could of caused those problems or if it was just ROM problems.

I also noticed when i tried to listen to an MP3 it would run out of memory after about 15 seconds or so. Using Oxiois did make the MP3 play longer! Could be the phone got tired of hearing Handlebars by FloBots! I was helping my brother-in-law move and played the song about 600 times in one day to annoy the hell out of him =) Got to love the in-laws right?

The Comm Manager in this version (at least on my phone) seems to think it is already in Airplane mode. Then when you try to hit the button to turn it off or on, it just hangs. Can closer comm manager and continue working however.

Also, orange light does not flash forever when receiving and email even though it is set to "no limit". It seemed to work right away but now only flashes for a couple of minutes. This is through and exchange server setup.

I ran into the same thing when I was trying to go from v 3.0 to 4.0. I tried everything, and I kept getting the same error. Hard spl, and then try to flash. That worked for me.

Other than that it's proving very nice.... might still go back to 4.0 lite, but I'll give this one time to grow on me... provided I can get the bugs worked out... I use WMP a LOT.

I've already ran the RAPI cab file to no avail.

I will try putting it in flight mode first though, hopefully that will work.
So you did every thing from the first page #2 put the nbh file in the RUU folder, then used herald-uspl.exe to flash with, and your still getting 207 at 3% did you check the usp to pc and put a check in the box if so then you can always use hard-spl, if ya want to go with hard-spl check this out

its the easiest way to install hard-spl it worked for me first try and only one cab file to install, instructions
if you do this and you need to send your wing in for service then you'll have to remove it, hard-spl to put the the original software back in, if you need help shoot me a message and i'll help,

Just had another issue. At times when making a call it stays on dialing and it doesn't dial at all. Have to end and call again for it to go through.

storage memory is not the issue, its the program memory...
try turning off the autoupdate of the weather plug in, and also closing open application of text messages and activesync - they both take up about 3mb total of program memory. also run oxios hibernate before running wmp... ( I prefer htc audio manager or s2play to play music files and tcmcp for video files.. wmp uses too much program memory..

it is part of throttle launchers fault because it has to constantly run in the background, but it is also the wing/herald fault for not having enough memory to run both apps at the same time.... I will try and test it on the OT6.5 not throttle no spb whatever its called ( neked rom ) and see how throttle works.. will also test a few other UI's just to see how they work with the new build an report my findings..

Im very happy with open touch 4, but i would like to try open touch 6.1 lite.

I spend days customizing my programs and settings on ot4.0 i dont want to try ot6.1 and then realized that 4 was better, and do all the settups once again.

So i would like to try ot6.1 on pc, decide if i like or not and than maybe install into my wing.

i usally have 22-20m and i got battery saatus + s2u2 with the wallpaper weather changer running .... when i open a program it goes down depending on what i open but when i close it goes back to 20m n i'm using OT 6.5 biggy with radio 3.21.90.....

When I got that error, I thought it was just a corrupt file, but I downloaded it like 15 times and still got the same error. I really can't tell you why it said that, and of course I tried checking the advanced usb feature on too, but still got the same result. After Hardspl'ing, I've never had any issues flashing.

yes very strange indeed... i noticed that it happens when you start pressing any buttons on the screen but then it stops... unfortunately i dont have time to keep testing it but i do remember it happening with another rom same build.. i think thats why i was using htc audio manager more cause it has to be memory related and audio manager is a lite memory app... im typing this from opera mini 6.5 lite no throttle no spb aka neked screen and it did skip one song while i type this

The only programs which are active from startup are PersonalDigitalClock (today plugin), UltimateLauncher (today plugin), S2U2. Other installed apps include: OpenWith, MSReader, MobiReader. Resco Picture Viewer, MV Backlight, Office Mobile 2007, Live Search, S-Tris and Enlight (both small games). There are a few others I commonly use, but I don't think I've installed those yet this last round. After work I'll go through it and update this list with anything which may have been excluded.

If as the previous poster indicates though, that this even occurs after a new flash, then it's independent of what apps I have installed.


I'd like to see this sorted out, but if not I suppose I'll just go back to v4.0.


EDIT: Oh, I forgot BatteryStatus. I think that's everything. I didn't restore from any of my backups either this last time around... had to make sure it wasn't a bad reg entry.

The only way I could think of an installed app causing this consistently would be if a new incompatibility was introduced with the latest build of 6.1. As I've said, I've been using these same apps with every other ROM I've used with no issue.

The people on the other end said it kind of sounds like background noise they just can't hear me. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes you will be able to press on the icons to access the progams.

I usally add the toggle to vibrate feature to the 5th hold button.
I might have forgot to add it to this release.

Instead of an icon, you just simply press and hold the 5th button and it will enable vibrate.

This has happened a few more times and now it seems the phone is locking up on me right after this happens. It allows me to end the call but then just locks up. I have flashed my phone about 3 times now...I have re-downloaded the files and did a hard reset. Help!

usually when i use my wing, I use my Bluetooth, but today I answered the call without it and the person on the other end couldnt hear me good.. but they were walking down the street with the wind blowing a little bit, so theres not telling...

will test some more over the weekend - OT6.5 neked - aka no throttle no spb...


So far this is a good base.. it seems like with any today screen apps cooked into the rom, they take up more memory!!! weird, but Ive been noticing numbers staying at around 20mb all day... no leaks or anything... cooking the todayscreen plugins may have a big part of the memory leaks that have been showing up...
but right now all im running is a batterystatus theme and todayagenda( just added ) and im at 20mb, after running a few apps and closing them it usually comes back to 20mb with no problem... start out with about 25mb of program mem

UC ready??? What's uc?It stands for User Customization and allows us to have CABs installed automatically after flashing a new ROM or settings being applied immediately.
No more fiddeling with all those settings after trying a new ROM or manually installing all your favourite programs.

I'm still working on it since it will contain four or more sides to it.
Meaning the today screen will be like a cube, you swipe it from side to side to switch screens.

Ohh now I see.. its htc home. excellent job it looks great. I didnt recognize it with the clock screen icons so large. Is the selection area dynamic so you can simply replace with larger icons or does it require more work than that?
Can the horizontal white lines be removed as well? Also is there anyway to remove the row above clock with date and carrier? or if it cant be removed is it possible to change the text to always display whatever string we want?

I do not like having UC running after the device has been flashed.

That's why I add an app called autocabs.

Which does the same thing but when your ready to run it.

Simply add your cabs to /sd/cabs/ as with UC and then run autocabs.

Think someone mentioned this already...but maybe not..
During a phone call you can go back to the keypad and enter "dial tone" numbers, but I am unable to go back to "Call Status" phone just hangs.
I use this a lot on conference calls to mute and un-mute.
Tried it with both Lite versions as well as the biggy - same thing.

I have two wings with this ROM in my family and both exhibit the same behavior Meyrc. If you call a number where you always enter the same digits at the same point in the call (like a password or account number etc.) you can autodial these without having to go to the dialpad screen. One way is to add commas to the end of the phone number in the phonebook. Add one comma for every 3 seconds, then add the digits you want to send. The timing of the commas don't start until the phone is answered. For example if you usually dial your bank at 1-888-123-4567 and then enter your account number 9 seconds into the call and your password in another 3 seconds, edit the number in your phonebook entry to look like this:
1-888-123-4567,,,9999999,1234
where the 9's represent your account number and the 1234 is your password. The first 3 commas add nine seconds wait (3 seconds each) and then dial the 9's, then the next comma waits 3 seconds and then dials the 1234. You can add more commas and digits as you want (for example to check your balance and then go back to the main menu or send the digit to hang up. This works 100% of the time as long as the service you are calling has a predictable delay between answering and the time you enter the digits. Hope this helps until a permanent fix is available.

all my settings/cabs somewhere deep down in my SDcard.
It just executes the sdconfig.txt.

Still I prefer UC from the startup, but Autocabs does it too:D

you can also use sdconfig tool to auto install apps that you choose to install when running the program... its very small only about 21kb of storage, and it lets you choose where to install each app..

Just one problem for me: I've got a HTC Herald (not a Wing) and since I've installed the ROM, I lost the original keyboard layout, especially the ALT - characters.

I tried to fix it, using the REG hacks, (changing values into 413, 409 etc) but none of them seems to fix it.

What can I doe to get the original HTC Herald keyboard layout back?

Hey if your still looking for 3 contact page this is is what i found all you have to do is.
unzip and replace the qa.layout.dat to spb mobile shell soft rest and you get 4 page of contacts with 9 per page with both clocks and you can swipe thro ever page from clocks to all 4 contact page and back to clocks
Be sure to do a backup first just incase some goes wrong, its better to be safe then sorry.

redownload a new file, i dont kno if this will work but u hold down the camera button and while holding it down press the soft reset button with the pen and as u let go of the soft reset button, still hold down the camera button. this should bring you to a screen with gradients and thats the bootloader mode. and u can flash through that.

i always use flash center. i think u should try to find the official tmobile/htc RUU and load that then reflash to a custom ROM

I've done searches with the keywords pictures, picture message, resolution, MMS, 160x120, and I still can't find out as to why, when I get a picture message, the resolution is always 160x120. I've even sent myself a pic with a resolution of 1600x1200 and it still comes back rediculously small. Is there a way to fix the problem cause I've tried to look at the arcsoft registry but couldn't find anything.

I'm using the OT 6.5 Lite and I even saw this problem in 5.0 so I'm thinking about just going back to 3.0 cause it has a separate MMS catagory instead of putting it with SMS. Unless there is a way to resolve the resolution issue.

I am having the same problem I installed flash and my flash clock works perfect. But my flash weather keeps changing back to dallas and my flash contacts just shows the matrix characters from the movie instead of my contacts lol.

Yea the weather in flash looks like a cartoon lol i turned mine off also. I really like the flash clock. To get the clock off military time just tap the hour number 1 to two maybe three times and it will change to normal time. And sometimes when you use your phone after its been on in your pocket for awhile the time is behind. To fix it just tap the minutes and it will auto correct or just wait a few seconds and it will do it on its own.

Not sure what is going on but I have been having issues with the web and weather. First you should know that I am using the proxy hack for t-mobile. and I am using 6.5 TL. I can run network wizard and then configure the proxy. Restart the phone and all is good. I go back a couple hours later and want to check on weather. It won't update. I then go to internet and it won't pull up anything. I have to redo the network wizard and add my proxy back in and restart the phone. Here is the weird thing. If I change to using flash for weather I have no problems for weather updating and no problems for accessing the web. It only happens when I don't use the flash for weather. Weird. Any one got any idea what is going or how to fix this

No worries on the UL version. Do the family stuff first, that is more important.

This has happened a few more times and now it seems the phone is locking up on me right after this happens. It allows me to end the call but then just locks up. I have flashed my phone about 3 times now...I have re-downloaded the files and did a hard reset. Help!

OK so i've been holding back from throwing my phone across the parking lot at work. I have installed OT4.0, OT5.0, OT5.3, OT 6.0,6.1 and 6.5 all of these are doing the muting problem. So being the IT guy that i am, i figure it to be a hardware problem =)

Called TMobile to let them know my phone is not working properly and after 2 calls and a few lies i am getting my warrantied phone! I added insurance to the phone, i did not know TMobile offered it but i think its good for people to know. $5.99 a month and the phone is fully covered.

I think when i get the refurb in i might try sell it on CraigsList or trade it for a Tilt and some cash.

this used to happen to me until i found out all you have to do is change one little setting. next time your "proxy" dissapears and you do the network wizard again, set up your proxy and after ok'ing out of the screenyou'll be back at the "connections" page. look at eh bottom and click on the "advanced" tab, the click on the first button from the top whick is "select networks", then make sure you change the top drop down menu from "my isp" to "t-mobile data" ok out of everything and soft reset. your internet problems should now dissapear.

Well I've done some research and apparently it was something wrong with the Arcsoft (I think) or something that was missed in the newer ROMs cause a lot of other people are experiencing the same problems. For people with USA T-Mobile phones I found this guys post and it worked for me.

The only thing I had to change was the port to 8080 because it was set to 80. Also, change the Conneciton Via to T-Mobile MMS cause mine was on Data as default (don't know if that makes a difference or not but mine works now cause I get pics with their default resolution :D. Keep in mind that for me a new server appeared in the list called "Default" and don't put it as your default put the T-Mobile MMS as default and edit those settings.

Hope it helped cause god, those small resolution pics bothered me so badly.

Just thought I would post this issue as I've never seen it before. On the biggy version if I am using the camera on my phone and push the power button to hibernate the phone, after a few seconds a white screen will appear and the phone will turn back on with the push of any button. If I exit from the camera and then hibernate, it does not do this. It's more of an annoyance than anything, but I thought I would post it. Otherwise this is a fantastic rom and I sent another small donation your way to help with your computer fund!

I use my phone to take pics of my son when I don't have my good camera also. What I usually do is fire off a couple of shots then shut it down. I guess I'm just anal retentive about closing down everything. In your situation I wouldn't bother pressing the power button if you are taking pictures so close together. Just let it keep running and shut it down once your done.

Well just download this file and after you use the network wizard and soft resetted install this. Then go to your MMS settings and you should have the T-Mobile MMS. Click set as default then go into the settings and then just go back to the server screen. That's pretty much it it should work that's all I had to do. Test by sending yourself a pic ;p.

Well just download this file and after you use the network wizard and soft resetted install this. Then go to your MMS settings and you should have the T-Mobile MMS. Click set as default then go into the settings and then just go back to the server screen. spb mobile shell is my cup of tea so i went ahead and snatched the 6.5 lite no TL.

not a big fan of UL, though i would like some of the updates that you are implementing for it on the 6.5 lite no TL --particularly the windows media update and the poorlyduck (?) dialer.

did you have any plans to release a 6.5 lite w/ no TL with these additional updates?

I really like this one its so fast :D no need to OC, is anyone having any issues with it sending out mutable messages like you send one they get 30 or more of the one, and while it was doing its thing i could not open mail,
i had to re flash cuz i got a call from a few fiends telling me why am i sending mutable message, but it was only to people that are on sprint, they got like 30 message, them on t-mobile got one each, I only ran it for like 10 min cuz of this issue, and i never got a test message from im isp strange

Send Large MMS:
Registry: HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\Size Limit
Key: wap2sendlimit1 (you can also change wap1sendlimit1)
Default: 307200
New Value: 1228800 (1200K)

Registry: HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\Size Limit
Key: sendlimit3 which will be set to the default of 300k. u gotta change it to 1228800 and than the 1200k will appear.
note u can also change sendlimit 2, 1 to be the same as what ever u decide to change wap * sendlimt* to be. once u do this the 1200k will appear.

After weeks of reading, i flashed for the first time with this ROM. Everything appears to be working. The only thing that isn't working properly is MMS messages.... i can't get them, i recieve the text from the MMS message but not the picture and the above instructions don't make sense to me. Is there something i am missing after i flashed? Could somone point me in the right direction. I have read this thread through and through and can't seem to find the answer.

Ok I came across an annoying issue. When you receive a text and start reading it. Then when you close it by pressing ok and then closing the sms program the Comm manager window always shows up for no reason.

The other problem is that text messages don't get sent at times and I have to restart the phone to get them to work again.

nothing you can do about the comm manager. Thats a problem with wm6. You can fix it, but it gets a bit complicated.

As for the text messages, thats probably a network problem, right?

I just read 165 pages of this thread as well as many others. I first flashed the 6.5 biggy and found that i had some freeze ups, sluggish issues with TL and no data connection with T-Mobile. I installed 6.5 lite and found some same issues but better performance. I now went with the 6.5 lite no SPB or TL and love it. My only issue is with the data connection. I am on T-Mobile (here in WA) and have gone through the set up numerous times, Network wizard, connections and soft reset a dozen times and cannot get the data connection to work with consistency. Any one else having this issue? I am looking for a fix as this rom is my favorite. I have not installed the T-mobile network.cab as i was a bit unsure if this would actually fix my issue and saw it more as a text message size issue. However i could be wrong. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I dont mind reading on it if some one would point me in the right direction to a link. Cheers.

Ok just got off a long week of work ....but i wanted to post my throttlelauncher clear tabs for anyone who wants it...
remember to __disable__ TL before u start...after u un-zip the files
go to program files>throttlelauncher>setups>touchflo3d>icons>tf3d then copy the files here....then re-enable TL...for the numbers u can use any style u want i used poorlyducks num...frm HTC home...

Yes, touchflow is very sluggish compared to spb. I tried touchflow for a while, but it got too sluggish for me. The spb runs much faster I think.

So far i have found the "OTP v6.5 Lite - No SPB or TL" to be more stable than the biggy or the lite (6.5). The touch flow after a bit of customization was a bit smoother but i found SPB to be a better fit in performance and smoothness. A complete user preference or opinion. Ill stick with this rom until ttran stews up something special once again. Good luck and enjoy as i have found this rom as well as papa blacks to be some of the best i have ever used on the wing.

only the first 2 biggie versions had data issues all others worked fine.... curruently using open touch 4 lite on my wing cause all the new builds 20273.... n before ...will not let me sync hotmail via phone keeps trying to take me to the windowslive website where there is only text unlike before where i could get the whole email on my phone just on my comp...so i went with OT4 and installed throttleluancher9.3 the best i ever had on my wing waiting for the launch of TL 9.4
THese guys r doing wanders here ..NO lab like HTC or SPB to build their softwear just a home computer and its all free

I set up TL by following the instructions given earlier in the thread by changing the settings, checking the autounload boxes and then overclocking and it runs pretty well for me. I have maybe a 2 second lag, if any, when opening the different apps in TL. I was surprised by how much I was able to speed up the TL app and I am only overclocked to 247. You might want to give it a try before you give up on the rom.

And even still I wonder how I can get pictures in their original resolution instead of the 160x120 resolution I keep getting.

I notice that this also happens when I flashed papamopps newest rom. Hmm maybe it's something they both have in common? I don't know but it's bothering me and I want to go back to OT 4.0 but this rom is so much faster blah...

Well I've done some research and apparently it was something wrong with the Arcsoft (I think) or something that was missed in the newer ROMs cause a lot of other people are experiencing the same problems. For people with USA T-Mobile phones I found this guys post and it worked for me.

The only thing I had to change was the port to 8080 because it was set to 80. Also, change the Conneciton Via to T-Mobile MMS cause mine was on Data as default (don't know if that makes a difference or not but mine works now cause I get pics with their default resolution :D. Keep in mind that for me a new server appeared in the list called "Default" and don't put it as your default put the T-Mobile MMS as default and edit those settings.

Hope it helped cause god, those small resolution pics bothered me so badly.

Today i used my (wired) headset for the first time after the new rom. And i noticed that when i started playing music that it was also faintly playing through the speaker on the phone. I unplugged the headset and plugged back in assuming a bad connection. This resulted in the same problem. I restarted the phone and the problem went away. Later that day i was back at my desk and it started doing the same thing. I restarted and it resolved that problem. Any others having this problem?

I'm going to release a rom with it cooked in once all of the minor issues have been resolved with it.

This version will be release once I'm done with fixing some of the other versions and the UL.

So i had to send my Wing back to Tmobile because of a problem with the microphone. I am using the stock ROM right now and i hate it! I was thinking of just flashing it with OTP6 again. But I have it listed on Craigslist and want to trade it for a Tilt or sell it and buy a Tilt. One thing i did notice is the battery last forever on this ROM. I have the same settings as i had with OTP in the past. Outlook is set to sync with my exchange server at work and to receive mail as it comes in. Which i thought was part of the reason my battery died so quickly with OTP, but yesterday made about 3 hours of calls thru out the day, played a bit of bubble breaker and when i went to charge it last night the battery was at 53%, With OTP I would of had to throw it on the charger before leaving work. I am wondering if this seems normal to you guys using it now? It could of been another problem with the Wing i had, one of the prongs where the battery goes into the phone was bent but made contact.

Another thing is the OS is WM6 not 6.1 and the radio is 03.21.90. Anyone else notice a huge drain on the battery like this? or is my situation extreme?

The dialer on this version is not the standard one so you can not just install another one on top of it.

You need to find the skin for the pandora dialer made for the diamond.

For the most part it works ok, Cool to look at Youtube and play streaming music. But I am trying to get it to read my SD card. It wont read it using 6.5. I then flashed Tmobiles Updated rom and it worked. About to try now on 5.2 Org

I installed it on my wing and it works great with 6.5 Lite, however it doesn't read the SD Card as stated by you. It doesn't stream well over edge, however works great over wifi. I don't have the strongest signal here at home, so maybe with a stronger signal might work better. If they fix the issue for reading the SD card, it's going to be awesome.

1. the theme keeps resetting from a blue one I installed, back to black after a soft reset or shutdown/restart. A coupe of times it would show up during restart but then turn black again. If I look in the today screen it will show up that it is using my blue theme.. I have to switch to something else and then back again to get the blue one to work - fixed

2. I click "yes" to exit and not restart the quick menu as directed... it comes back upon a soft reset. - fixed

3. I installed Personal Informant 8.1 but I am unable to figure out how to switch the calendar to use it as default... the contacts did switch as setup through the installation. fixed using softkeys DL'd from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1031304&postcount=7)

4. my SD card worked for a lil bit, but I removed it to get some stuff off of it... not it is not detected anymore. softreset/power off doesn't help. - Fixed... The memory card has to have a label in order to be seen by the phone.

other then that I will say the installation was very easy and the instruction were great... the only I didn't see that was listed in the steps.. was the toughflo step as the icon was not there as described.
